The inspector seemed very knowledgeable, professional and thorough. He took time with us and made sure we understood every aspect of the inspection. The inspector was very familiar with the builder of our home and he took time to point out aspects of the house that he felt were done very well by the builder. All our questions were answered carefully. Your written report is excellent and seems very thorough.

Allen was wonderful to work with and is very professional in all aspects. He did such a great a great job on looking for anything that could be of issue. He went above and beyond to teach us along the way about issues that could arise if items went unnoticed. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.

Absolutely thorough. Very professional with very clear communication. Every detail is explained on site with a full explanation of any issues discovered; the level of seriousness or urgency along with prioritized recommendations. The written reports are the best I’ve seen with clear pictures and discussions of each. The emailed report complete with pictures came within 24 hours of the inspection followed by a hard copy in the mail.
I wouldn’t think of using anyone else.

Laurie made me feel very comfortable and explained all the different options and applicable reasons for each option. She spoke to me like I was more of a friend not just a random customer. I too am in the customer service field and feel very strongly about good customer service. When the inspector arrived to meet my husband, he was equally as awesome. He explained everything to us in detail, with out rushing, and was very thorough, no question was too small or insignificant. We received our report via email by the end of the following business day! Super quick turn around time. We then received a very nicely put together binder in the mail about a week later. This company is top notch! Dont’ hesitate to hire them!

We had Pillar to Post do a new home inspection. Alan and Erik were beyond thorough. They found several items that were crucial in protecting our home. The items were easy fixes, but had they been left the way they were, we could have had major issues down the road. They also found several other items that were easily fixed. The inspection paid for itself. Alan made himself available long after the inspection was done and after he was paid. They were always professional and very nice and pleasant to work with. These guys have high standards.

My husband and I have bought and sold houses many times and I must say this was by far the most thorough inspection service we’ve ever worked with. Alan and Erik were exceptionally thorough, professional, timely and patient. An inspection is essentially a research report on your home, and you want to be as versed as possible when it comes to knowing the ins and out but also the maintenance requirements that you will need to do as a long-​term home owner. We were blown away by the «extras» in the Pillar to Post inspection process. A binder with your report and a supplemental maintenance guide. Details on ages, serial numbers and recall alerts on appliances within the house. Ongoing access to Alan and Erik for questions, how-to’s or recommendations down the road. And the list can go on…
Our inspection took place during the middle of winter with sub-​freezing temps. The roof was covered with snow and we were under a tight deadline to complete the home purchase from an indignant seller. Alan sent us a preliminary report and then returned to the house the following Sunday (first day after snow melt!) to inspect the roof and home exterior. That same Sunday night we received the supplemental findings and final inspection report. If that is not going above and beyond, I don’t know what is.
Your home is a massive investment. Don’t skimp on the inspection. There are a lot of cheapies out there, and you get what you pay for. You will not go wrong using Pillar to Post.

The friendliness and knowledge of the inspector, the office manager and overall service from the first phone call to the beautifully put together binder I received just a couple of days later, was such an easy experience, I would and plan on using them again as well as recommend to friends and family.

I cannot say enough good things about this business to do it justice with my words. Through, professional, knowledgable and ethical are a few adjectives I would use to describe working with Pillar to Post. I bought a home in Bend (which was out of state for me) last month and it was so much more difficult than your typical home purchase being so far away. Because of this, you are completely dependent on the people you are working with. Allen represented me the buyer! He found issues in the home that my realitor and the listing agent tried to dismiss by saying «Pillar to Post tends to be a bit extreme in their assessments» it’s fine don’t worry this is normal. Allen spent the time to explain the issues and go over the most professional home inspection I have ever seen. Allen did not wavier in his assessment to go along with the realtors. He cared about me the client. He even called the service man to ensure that I was being represented. I am truly grateful to Allan for being there for me and for his expertise in home inspections.

I asked my Real Estate agent for the names of several inspectors. I then called 2 other Real Estate Agents in the Bend area and asked them for the name of a local inspector and finally I called my Neighborhood Association and asked them for their recommendation. WIth my short list in hand, I first checked each w/​the BBB, then I checked online for reviews, and then I CALLED each from my even shorter short list and interviewed them. Pillar to Post of Central Oregon just blew the competitors out of the water. They have an excellent reputation with Real Estate Agents & home owners in this area.
Office Staff and Inspectors respond promptly to inquiries and are friendly, personable, & professional. Communication during the entire process: interview, scheduling appointment, the appointment itself (for which I was present), & after appointment was fantastic! At no time was the ball dropped & at no point in time did any person try to rush me through something — each person has spent as much time with me as I needed.
Pillar to Post was accommodating; my Home Inspection was scheduled the day before the Builder Walk-​Through and my Real Estate Agent & I had my Home Inspection Report same day! Report was thorough and included pictures which was very helpful to all parties involved.
