Prestige Moving & Storage

If you want to pay exorbitant costs (of course, they are affiliated with Allied) then feel free to get a quote and move with Prestige. Their quote was 4 X the price of any other mover in town. We were moving five blocks away and they were going to charge us the same price that it took to move from California to Oregon. Steer clear of these fools. My god.

As another single woman who had a terrible experience with these movers, I was blown away to read Danielle’s review. Jason also sat in MY living room and told me, with complete earnestness, how much «easier» my move was going to be «now that everything was in their hands.» Nothing could be further than the truth.
They «lost» an unbelievable amount of items (I think they were left behind because I had originally booked the truck and apparently it was too small,) of course Jason did not bother to take a look before moving day to check.
He hired a third guy to «make things quicker» without my permission and then tried to charge me for it. They arrived with the van at my new location (also a different state,) basically dumped my stuff in my new apartment and left. Nothing was unpacked. My bed was not put together because they «forgot their tools;» (as they told my landlord,) one small crescent wrench was all that was required. They could have bought one at the hardware store a block away.
I was in touch with them a half-​hour out, and they were supposed to wait for me. They just left. After three days traveling with my dog and cat I was exhausted and walked into a huge mess. They were supposed to take the balance of payment upon delivery. They didn’t even wait and then tried to invoice me an additional $ 800.
I had to hire new movers the next day to have my things re-​situated, bed put together, etc. my landlord from Bend called to tell me they had left items in my apartment which I then had to pay to have shipped. Worst of all, I am still finding (not finding) things that were «lost.»
I thought maybe this was a one-​time thing and wasn’t going to write this review until I read the other. It was too similar a story and if I can help someone else by speaking out, I will.
Bad karma, guys. Bad karma.

I called Prestige Moving & Storage in Bend based on the recommendation of our realtor. I worked with the sales manager Jason, who scheduled movers through Allied Van Lines in Southern California. They got it right on what counts when moving: arrived on-​time on scheduled date, packed professionally and efficiently, delivered to storage on date promised, all items in great condition. The movers clearly put in extra effort to set up the storage unit in a horseshoe so all items could be viewed and accessed. We are grateful to have had such a good experience and will use Prestige with any of our moving needs going forward!

Prestige has moved us a total of 3 times, twice to Bend, and once out of Bend. Each time they were excellent to work with. They were extremely good and efficient packers, they were in regular contact to plan the arrival of our stuff, and great about unloading items where they should be.
If you ever need to move to or from Bend, these are the guys to use!

Bryan is correct in that there are two sides to every story. I was not rude in fact I even purchased breakfast and a case of water for everyone when the driver got there and we had to wait for the two other guys to come. The older heavier man was upset it was on the second floor and cussing and complaining about the stairs and yes that upset me. I have clear pictures of the empty living they could have put the items in that were left downstairs. I did not have any living room furniture what so ever and everything fit perfectly in the living room after I received help. The driver as I previously said was late for a military move so they moved everything out of the truck and put it on the sidewalk. The 2 movers went to lunch and when they came back and saw that the driver left they were mad at him and me and left. If truly it was a space issue wouldnt the appropriate thing to do is call the office and say we have a customer with expensive belongings on the sidewalk and there is no room what do we do? Why did they not call the office because there was plenty of room that is why. Yes the price of moving my items were grossly overcharged because I had to find someone who would come right away as my things were getting ruined in the snow price shopping was not an option and prestige had no solution even though they promised they would take care of everything. I also have texts from the driver saying how sorry he was for leaving with the job not being done he assumed the other guys would finish it. I never asked them to move anything twice as they stated it was a small place not many places for things to go. Clearly they are not telling the truth. Having people deal with your personal belongings is such a personal thing and to have them ruined and not dealt with in a professional manor is devastating.
There are many more movers to chose from. This was beyond a nightmare that I am still dealing with please make a better choice then I did!

In the fifteen years we have lived in Bend we have had three moves for which we needed professional moving services. For those moves we used Prestige Moving and Storage, the Allied agent in Bend. Each time we had a stellar experience for the packing and moving being carefully executed. They did exactly what they said they would do, exactly as they promised to do it and every person we worked with, from management to office staff to the guys doing the heavy lifting were professional and friendly.
Given we needed to store furniture and belongings with them for a few months each time, we also had a top notch experience using Prestige for that service as well.
All in all, at each step we felt as if our belongings were treated as carefully by the Prestige team as if they were their own.
In fact our experiences with Allied were the best we’ve had of the several interstate and intrastate moving experiences before moving to Bend.
We are hoping to move from Bend in the not too distant future and Prestige will be the company we’ll use for that move too because we trust them to do it right.
There may be movers who do as good a job as Prestige, but in all our years of experience, we haven’t found a mover who does it better.
