Brickspace

I really can’t say enough good things about Fary and Brickspace. We just had our son’s 2^nd birthday here and all the kids/​parents had a great time! The kids were engaged, excited, and most importantly for us parents, all tuckered out afterwards– our little dude took a 3 hour nap as soon as we got home!
On a personal note, I had forgotten how much I loved playing with legos as a kid– for Fary to tap into that and foster a love for STEM is amazing. If it weren’t for my long commute, I’d be bringing our little dude in here everyday for free play!

I created a Unilocal account just to share our awesome experience at Brickspace! Here it goes…
We attended a birthday party at Brickspace at the First Street location a few months ago and my son loved it! He wouldn’t stop talking about how much fun he had there, so we decided to throw his 4^th birthday party there too. He specifically asked for a Lego Super Hero party, so Brickspace was the perfect location!
Fary is awesome! She was easy to work with from beginning to end. She suggested to have our party at the Tyler Street location based on the amount of guests we planned to invite. I’ve never been there, so she sent me pictures of the place. The pictures she sent looked great, so I confirmed the Tyler Street location. When we got there on the day of my son’s party, I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were bigger than I expected! There is a separate room with plenty of tables to use to setup food, a cake table, and for guests to sit down. Had I known it was that big, I would’ve made more decorations to hang on the walls. The staff was very patient and did a fantastic job facilitating the activities for the kids. My son had a blast and did not want to leave! He is already talking about having another super hero party there.
If your child loves Legos or building, this is the place to go. Both locations are great and Fary and her staff are awesome!

My daughter started at Brickspace when she was 2.5 years. It was her first pre-​school experience and the staff have been amazing with her. At first she didn’t participate much and mostly observed. The staff never pushed her to do anything she wasn’t comfortable with, but always made a point to include her. She now goes to another pre-​school (closer to our home) three days a week, but we still take her to Brickspace once a week. She learns so much and always has fun. I have been really impressed with the staff — they are really great with kids, and at teaching. Last weekend we my daughter’s third birthday party at Brickspace. I highly recommend Brickspace as a drop-​in pre-​school program, and also for birthday parties! The kids all had a great time — Fary had lego building projects and arts and crafts set up for the kids, the staff helped the kids and kept them occupied, and they did a story time that kept all the kids really engaged. The kids got to bring projects home with them, which was nice. It was a great time for all the kids and their parents, and I even had fun! The staff at Brickspace had the party so well-​planned the party was stress-​free for me! I love this place.

I was just reviewing my son’s 6^th Birthday party pictures and I can’t believe how easy and stress-​free it was. Fary is wonderful! She listens to your needs and tries to accommodate the little things to make the party extra-​special. The party itself was perfect, Fary and her team did a great job keeping the kids engaged and adjusting the time and activities to ensure everyone is having fun. The kids were having so much fun building that the parents was able to sneak in some time to chat and catch up too. Love love love Brickspace!

We had our son’s 5^th birthday here recently. There was a last minute change to my location — and by last minute, I mean 1 hour before the party started. It was not their fault, and I get some guests can be difficult. For the trouble, they did not charge me for the party, which I appreciated, but I was worried about coordinating with guests with such a curve ball. They helped out by having the employees in the other building direct our guests to the other location (5 minutes down the street). Overall, they handled it quite well. All the guests made it on time, the kids had fun and the birthday boy had a blast!

I’ve used BrickSpace for drop-​in daytime play/​care, «date night» late hour care and recently threw my 4 year old son’s birthday party here using their birthday package. The facility and staff are AWESOME all around!
For the birthday party… I threw the owner a curve ball when I asked her to create a «Fishing» themed party (which they had never done before) for ten boys & girls, ages 3 – 10 years old. Not an easy task! However, she and the staff nailed it! The activities managed to not just include, but engage ALL of them for the full 2-​hour session. In addition to free-​building Lego play, there were prepared educational sit-​downs (all about fishing, tackle, bait, fish, etc.), team-​building projects, creative & scientific activities, and more!
Another plus is that the parties are 100% staffed and facilitated. We opt’d to skip the birthday cake ‘at’ BrickSpace and let the kids play for the full two hours. This allowed us parents to hang out and enjoy a much-​needed catch-​up session over a couple beers down the block at Rookies Sports Bar. As the session came to an end, we collected the kids and headed up the street to Pizza Pirate for some hometown pizza & birthday cake in their private room (which they do NOT charge for, by the way!) Plus, the restaurant manager, Joe, extended an awesome 15% total bill discount (something he offers for all BrickSpace parties).
Winter month birthdays are always a challenge… but both these local venues provided the perfect solution for our needs. Plus it was a lot of fun, reasonably priced, educational and available rain or shine.

We had our son’s 7^th Birthday party at Brickspace. According to all his friends it was the BEST BIRTHDAY PARTY EVER! My son was very particular about having a Jurassic World party. Fary and her team (Grant) kept the kids really engaged with different games and all sorts of information and trivia about dinosaurs and the bonus was each child got to take home a dinosaur lego toy. The kids got to be very creative when making their T-​Rex or Raptor along with a habitat and had to tell the rest of the group all about their creation. They were never bored and even all the Dads that attended were itching to sit down and build. We will be attending some of the camps this summer and and I only wish we lived closer as I would have him there all summer.

Brickspace is awesome! My son has been coming here for preschool age camps and drop in play for almost 2 years. I am constantly impressed with the creativity that Fary and her team use to integrate age appropriate learning into a day filled with fun play. The science days are my sons favorite. In addition to two days per week at Brickspace my son recently started a traditional preschool program. His new preschool teachers were impressed with his ability to write his own name correctly without help. And at 3 years old he also knows all his colors, letters and can count past 20. He also knows some very interesting science facts. We do some work at home of course, but a lot of this knowledge I attribute to his days at Brickspace. I truly believe they have prepared him for a lifetime of success, not only academically but also socially.
We’ve also done two birthday parties at Brickspace for my son’s 3^rd & 4^th birthday. Brickspace parties are an awesome experience for the kids and the parents. Fary and her staff come up with Lego builds, story/​circle time activities and crafts related to whatever theme your child chooses. The children stay engaged for a full two hours, then you’re done. What could be better than that?! All the parents need to do is send the invitations then provide cake, snacks & drinks on the day of the party. We’ll have birthday parties here every year as long as my son wants. Love, love, love Brickspace!

We had our daughter’s 4^th birthday party at BrickSpace. Fary and her assistant had prepared innovative and fun activities for the kids. We brought snacks, drinks and cake. Fary organized kids activities and took care of goody bags. My daughter had a lot of fun, and kept talking about lego after her party.

We have been to Brickspace for the last 2.5 years and we loved it! Fary and her team are amazing and so patient with the kids!
We have been to the summer camps (Minecraft, Science, just to name a couple), Parents Night Out and just drop-​ins. Kids came back excited and we were updated with photos of their creations.
Brickspace is Lego, AND SO MUCH MORE!

This is the BEST preschool ever! Fari is wonderful and Nanette always made my little feel special. STEM based learning for littles … My little loves this place!!! We’ve been to three schools and this place is untouchable! Super reasonably priced too.

This place is amazing! Both my older boys love coming here and always have a blast! We recently hosted my older son’s birthday party here and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Fary makes it so easy and takes so much pressure off of the parents. All you do is show up and she plans everything! Highly recommended!

We love Brickspace! We are a Lego loving family and this place is a dream come true– a great space to play and experiement and learn.
We’ve had my son’s 6^th and 7^th birthday parties at Brickspace and both times felt it was money very well spent! ALL The kids had a great time, the party is very well organized and personalized. Each child has his own chance to build as well as take home a small lego kit as well! (No goodie bags for me to worry about!) :-) Fary was great at coming up with a party for any theme my son would pick too! We did Star Wars jedi training academy last yaer, and then Transformers this year.
Aside from the birthdays, we love to bring both my sons (ages 3 and 6) for some drop off play when they are open for free-​play time. The boys love being there, the place is nut-​free (BONUS) and I can go enjoy downtown benicia for an hour or two with a friend.
If we lived closer we would be doing their camps all summer long as well! We are in Pleasant Hill.

My son wanted to celebrate his 8^th birthday at his favorite play spot ~ BrickSpace! Second birthday party here and was even more fun than the first! He and his friends had a blast. Fary and her staff are amazing at making time for kids fun and educational. She amazes me ~ she can incorporate Legos into any theme! He chose Sonic the Hedgehog this year so she successfully planned some great activities with Legos, race cars and Sonic all into one great party. The smiles on all the boys’ faces tell you how much fun they had. Looking forward to hanging out at BrickSpace again soon!

I’ve been bringing my son to Brickspace for almost 3 years now (started when he was 3yrs old) — He LOVES it there! Fary is amazing with the kids. She really cares about each and every child and creates a curriculum for every age group that incorporates learning and fun as well as engineering and math concepts. The teachers who work there are super nurturing and very friendly. They have preschool and kinder classes and fun themed summer camps. Drop in play is great if you have errands to run. Prices are very fair and affordable. Highly recommend!

The best lego building place ever! We’ve been attending Brickspace since it opened and without a doubt Ms. Fary has made us feel more like family then customers. Ms. Fary always greets me and my daughter with a big warm hug and smiles. Her, and her hand picked staff, are not only passionate about Legos and learning they genuinely have a love of children! My daughter has attended MineCraft and several other camps and goes every parent’s night out. When we go to pick her up she never wants to leave. We also use Brickspace when we need a few hours to run errands — so much more relaxing for both my daughter and myself then dragging her along grocery shopping. My daughter and I have never had a bad experience and honestly I feel since my daughter was old enough to attend at around 3 years old — (3 years ago) I have always felt it was a safe and mind-​expanding environment for her — and I’m a pretty over protective mom.
I feel Ms. Fary has created an awesome exciting alternative to the typical day care because the kids not only get to have fun — they learn stuff too! You can’t beat it and I really give Brickspace my highest recommendations and gratitude!

This place is absolutely amazing and if I could give more stars I would! My son loves coming here and I feel really great and confident in what they are teaching the kids. They really have creative ways to teach kids with Legos on many different subjects. Ms. Fary also offers such flexibility for parents that as a single mom this is very helpful. It most definitely takes a village!

BrickSpace is AMAZING!!! We hosted our son’s 4^th birthday party there in June of 2014 and it was money very well spent. Fary is incredibly helpful in the planning process and the website provides lots of useful information. There is a long list of party themes from which to choose and she adapted her «ninja» theme to fit my son’s current obsession with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Fary was wonderful about communicating cost, how/​when to arrive and set up. There is a large separate room in one corner that you can decorate however you want and use for food/​gifts, etc. There are large tables, chairs, garbage cans and it’s incredibly clean and neat. She also had a small table set up directly outside the room as a place to put gifts when people arrived.
The actual space is incredible! Very spacious, clean, and super inviting for little hands. We had about 12 kids aged 2 – 6 and every single one of them played non-​stop for the two hours that we were there. There are little tables with different themes set up — dinosaurs, trains, princess/​castles — as well as additional play equipment like little kitchens.
Fary had a wonderful «plan» for the day that included free play time, structured play time, circle/​mat time with songs and physical activities, and then a guided build based on our theme. As our group was pretty young and having somewhat of a hard time following directions, she was lovely and totally went with the flow, adapting her plans as the day progressed and letting the kids somewhat dictate how long we spent on each activity.
At the end of the party (after cake), the kids were allowed to choose what small vehicle they wanted to create as a party favor. She had a wonderful teenager helping out all day and I was very impressed with how patient and helpful he was. He sat at the end and walked the kids through the instructions as they built their little planes and trucks. I heard more than one child say upon leaving, «This is the BEST party gift ever!!!» Another boy told me very seriously, «I just told my mommy this is where I need to have MY party.» Too cute!
All in all, I couldn’t have had a better experience at BrickSpace. I HIGHLY recommend having a birthday party here. You will not be disappointed! Fary is incredibly professional, helpful, wonderful with children, keeps a very clean and organized space, and truly makes you feel like she cares about your kids and wants to provide them a special time. We will definiltey be back!!!

I finally went to this wonderful children’s play/​learning center. You have the option of staying for the class or you can drop off your children, the class was $ 35 for my twins. I opted to drop off my twins and explore Benicia with my gf who also dropped off her kids. The class they were teaching that day was about penguins. The teachers read a story, sang songs and did demonstrations along with the Lego building. My twins had a great time and the teachers were so sweet as was Fary, the owner.
We really love this place and can’t wait to go back.

BrickSpace is an amazing place that I just discovered. They offer innovative Summer camps as well as drop-​in (drop-​off) free play. The owner, Fary, is just the most wonderful, patient, and awe inspiring person. She and her energetic staff take a genuine interest in children’s abilities and helps them stretch their imagination and creativity all through lego play. It’s the kind of place where children can find comfort and allow their imaginations to soar.
This is an awesome place for classes and free play!!!
