The Drain Whisperer

Appears to be a new business as of 2013. Same day service on a backed up basement floor drain leaking sewage into our basement. We called 8 other plumbers and all were booked. The «Drain Whisperer» himself is the father in the operation. His younger son and assistant came out for our call. Seems to be a small family business – no uniforms, unmarked white truck, etc. The two kids were friendly but not too talkative other than answering our basic questions. They were quick and skilled with the auger. Took maybe 20 minutes and charged us $ 84 with tax to snake the basement floor drain. Probably the cheapest in Omaha besides getting a handy man to come out.
I did take off one star because when asked about the «30 Day Guarantee» advertised on their website, the son said he didn’t know how long exactly the guarantee was for and that if it backed up «soon» they would come back out. The 30 Day Guarantee was one of the reasons we chose this company.
All in all: Cheap, fast, no frills, got the job done.

The drain whisperer is probably the best plumber we have ever used! One day, our drain in our basement wasn’t draining and my husband was looking and looking for a plumber and so happened to find a plumber with a coupon. Well, we called the guy and tried his very best to come out to us as soon as possible. In fact, he came the same day within an hour of our call. The best part of this plumber for me is when he first came to our house and before he stepped into our house, he put on shoe covers! What kind of service person who comes to repair anything at your house would put shoe covers on? Not many. I was already in love with this plumbing company. The drain whisperer is not only respectful of your house, but of course, he does a good job. Once he cleared our drain, it has not yet gotten backed up! I am definitely a fan of the drain whisperer and would definitely call him again. There are a few things that the drain whisperer can’t do, like fix our water heater, but he will help you find someone who can! Great customer service, respectful of your home, and does a great job! The drain whisperer’s number is one we will definitely keep.
