The worst burger I ever had. The bartender said they were hand made and fresh, ordered it medium. It was like a rock, it was served with cold fries. I had better bubba burgers! We were sitting at the bar, it took no lie ten minutes to get the bartenders attention to send it back. He was busy yacking on the other side with what looked like his regulars. The mixed drinks were as equally bad, ordered a $ 10 Moscow Mule, simple, one would think, tasted like lime water… Never again!

So I’ve been to BL a few times, but multiple locations. The food is decent. I love the drinks. I would say the best time to come is happy hour because you can get $ 5 martinis they are $ 10 regular price and I don’t feel they are worth the price. Appetizers are half off during happy hour as well. I feel this is a great spot to sit back and relax with friends to have some good drinks and some snacks. It’s usually crowded and they also have live music on certain days.

Food was cold and flavorless. Ordered nachos and they came up WAY too quickly which makes me think they made them by mistake an hour ago so we got them. Service was slow. Bartender was more interested in bald guy hitting on her that her customers. Glasses were dirty. Wouldn’t go back

Fun place for groups. Five dollar burgers, I think on Tuesdays. Good food. Craft tap beers and lots of martinis.

I remember when this place first opened and it was completely packed all the time. I wanted to go but never got around to it, until last Saturday night. I have a theory: if the place is not packed during peak dinner time on a Saturday, then there’s probably a reason. We had a larger group and walked right in and sat down at a table. There was no hostess and we were told to seat ourselves. A few people ordered mixed drinks(Jack and Coke/Jack and Ginger) and they were extremely watered down. To the point where it was laughable they were trying to pass this off as an alcoholic drink. I switched to beer immediately while the others ordered another round to the same result, little alcohol and watered down. I ordered a Sam Adams Seasonal(Winter Lager) and was told they had«Keg issues» 15 minutes later. I then switched to a Miller Lite because it’s pretty tough to mess up a bottled beer. They also had«soda issues» with the Diet Coke and it wasn’t available. For apps we ordered Loaded Tots and Chicken Nachos. The tots were good but the $ 11 Chicken Nachos were absolutely awful. The chips were almost stale and the chicken was dry as a bone. The food was not very great either. The flatbreads were dry and the pork sandwich was meh. I can see why others say their service was slow because it does seem that it is a bit unorganized among the waitresses as to who is assigned tables. Most of them were congregating near the back by the kitchen entrance the entire night because they didn’t have any tables. Overall, it’s easy to see why this place is empty on a Saturday night: they water down mixed drinks(which shows you how dumb they think their customers are), their beer selection on their menu doesn’t match what is actually available as they are out of some, and the food isn’t good at all. I won’t be going back and I suggest you don’t either.

This place has a huge amazing looking menu. Then the food comes out and you start thanking the lord they at least serve beer. The tater tots were swimming in cheese whiz and then they eventually drowned because they were not edible. Did I mention they had beer? Ok good. Cause that’s the only thing trustworthy there

The worst we’ve ever experienced, will never go here again. Walked in with my husband and without looking up the hostess told us with a wave of her hand to sit wherever we wanted. We found a seat and waited 20 minutes before a waitress asked what we wanted to drink, listening to the surrounding tables complaining about the poor service. Ten minutes later the wrong drinks were delivered, along with two dirty appetizer plates and only one set of utensils. Ordered dinner anyway, small portions came out another 20 minutes later. My chicken dinner came in a basket, had lunchmeat deli cheese on it and the chicken wasn’t fully cooked. Had two bites and asked for the check. Will never go back.

Great bar! The music here is on point and it’s definitely an establishment that screams Chicago. Food was descent… its a bar/grille scene so it’s a finger food menu. Tasty combinations! The prices are great and you get a very laid back, chilled experience. Personally the TVs should be bigger! If you are at the bar they are perfect but if you are seated in the dinning area its hard to see. The bar itself is phenomenal… fully stocked and well displayed. The prices are also reasonable for mixed drinks here. Some of the cocktails we had were around $ 7 each. Normal entrees are $ 12.95 at a maximum. I don’t believe I saw anything exceeding that unless you add on. My only hiccup here was the lack of interaction with the employees. No host is at the door. So if you are a first timer like we were you look kinda awkward just standing like where the hell do I go hahah. & then common sense kicks in and you are like well let me find a place to sit. I think they should have a host or some sign that says sit wherever you’d like. The menu’s are on the table as well. Overall, I recommend this place although I do not know how crowded this place is on weekends. So I’ll have to give that a whirl and hope it isn’t a zoo.

I’ve been here three times, and all three the service is horrendous. We waited 15 minutes for the server to come take our order after getting us waters and then walked out. There were at least 7 servers on, maybe 15 tables including us, and we were ignored by absolutely everyone. Horrid.

This is the third review I’m writing of this place and for good reason. It is such a hit-or-miss venue and it’s a damn shame! The venue is awesome and would be a great place to host a happy hour or stop-in for a bite to eat. It has such great potential, but management here just can not get it right and they are making it really easy to run themselves right into the ground. The food is pretty good — large portions, nice variety etc. If only it didn’t take an hour+ to receive your food! I’ve been here for lunch, happy hour, ordered take-out etc so don’t tell me I haven’t given this place a fair chance. Every single experience is entirely different and I’m just not one who is willing to gamble with food. I came here for lunch with my coworkers. We arrived at 11:50, we were one of maybe 2 – 3 other tables(and we had arrived first). We ordered around 12:05… didn’t receive appetizers until 12:45 and didn’t receive lunch until 1:10pm. We also all received our meals at different times, so what was supposed to be a nice work outing turned into a frustrating hurried lunch which we decided we would never return for. Only after informing the waitress of the poor service of the establishment at approximately 1:05pm, she came to our table every 2 minutes to make sure we were ok when she had pretty much ignored us for about an hour. Get it together Bar Louie. If you can’t handle 2 – 3 tables during lunch time, how in the world do you expect to serve all of your guests if all of the tables in your venue were actually occupied at the same time? Terrible, terrible service.

Well sadly I have to say this will be my last trip to Bar Louie. Since they opened it «was» a happening spot. My wife and I decided to go back for another try after 2 mediocre experience. I had chalked it up to their being overly busy. Tonight was quite the opposite. 6pm on a Sunday. We walked in with maybe 8 or 10 tables taken. football on TV over the bar and a cheery barkeep. it took about 10 minutes for anyone to notice us, as we seated ourselves after waiting for a host and non came. Our server was pleasant but slow. With a max of about 10 tables in the whole restaurant you would think tbhings like drinks would come quickly. Sadly the very menu item I came for was horrible. The Voodoo Chicken was a ghost of its former self. The rice was cold and parts hard like it had been recycled off another plate. I asked to make sure they put no onions, just peppers(even though onions isnt listed –because I wanted to share and my wife has a food allergy) I was told«the onions and peppers were in a medly and couldnt be separated… as my wife and I simultaneously look at her plate with broccoli and red peppers. I had to call attention to the server. My plate was cold hard rice. one breast of chicken and three small pieces of sausage. I asked if I could get more peppers or something. I was offered a few more pieces of sausage. I was still not overly pleased. but I would have let it slide. I got 5 more pieces of sausage(Combined about ½ the length of a hotdog).and the bill. and extra $ 4.25. Sorry Bar Louie. Fail. my food tonight was crap. I can only assume that the drop in food quality and staff quality has led directly your being empty at prime dinner hour on a Sunday night. It is just a matter of time till another once innovative restaurant cheapens itself and closes it doors. Another customer lost. We won’t be back.

I met my girlfriend there Friday 10⁄16 for happy hour. The service was excellent; every time we needed something our waitress was right by our side. We only ordered appetizers and drinks, AND they exceeded our expectations, the martinis are excellent(try the Diva.) I was hesitant to go there because of some negative reviews I should have ignored earlier. We will definitely be back!

If there’s one person at Bar Louie’s you get to meet, I hope it’s Carolyn! She is honest, funny, intelligent and super gracious server. She takes role very seriously but while having fun and partaking in a conversation. If you get there and she’s not your server, then you are probably missing out.

Very disappointed with this place. We were heading to the mall across the street on a Sunday afternoon, and figured we’d stop here for a drink and a late lunch first. When we walked in there was no one to greet us. We stood there for a few minutes trying to figure out if we should seat ourselves, when a girl in a pink tank top and jeans walked in behind us and told us to grab a seat anywhere we’d like. Um, ok. So we sit down. About 10 minutes later the same girl comes up to the table and asks for our drink order. «Oh…you work here?» I thought a regular was just walking in behind me and giving me the heads up to seat myself. In a nutshell, loaded tater tots and Mac and cheese and pulled pork sandwich were great. Teriyaki chicken lettuce wraps were just ok. Service sucked. My waitress(the only one dressed in street clothes and not a uniform) spent most of her time sitting at the bar and texting on her phone. The phone was hanging out of her front pocket and a swipe card out of her bra. Classy. In fact, all of the staff(about 7 or so) sat in the back at a table together for the entire time I was there. A staff meeting maybe? Who knows. Either way, the food was decent, the atmosphere was great but the service was terrible.

We were here on St Patrick’s Day due to sheer happen chance. Lucky? Umm not a 100% sure. We had decided to order the en fuego wings but the high school kid attending to us said that he would recommend the barbeque wings instead and that he didn’t like the en fuego ones. Said he was trying to help us out so that we select the best flavor. Quite strange! Got a green beer, the barbecue wings and the Louie burger. Food was on par with standard restaurant chain fare. Throughout the evening, our waiter would speak only to my wife and I was just an observer at the table. Finally he said at one point that I should order my wife a dessert. No thank you Romeo she can decide for herself! Figured I’ll share my experience here on St Patty’s day now that I have some time to Unilocal

Tim was such a lovely server dealing with my drunk friends, so if he’s reading this; thanks so much Tim! The drinks were amazing, especially when my mojito was made. I’ve honestly never tasted such a refreshing mojito ever. I haven’t tried the food yet, but glancing at the menu, it looks awesome! The atmosphere of the area is beautiful. They have an outdoor dining area and a fire place with a sleek, black design and red couches. It’s warm and inviting, rather than having an ostentatious vibe about it.

I am really pulling for this place to get it together and be the fun spot to be seen in Bensalem. It has a cool city vibe to the interior and the patio area, that I feel would be «date night nice» without having to deal with the parking situation in Center City. Unfortunately, it has too many issues currently. We sat at the bar, and it took about 10 – 15 minutes for someone to greet us and take our order. Our food order, pork tacos and bbq burger, took a very long time to make it out of the kitchen. After about 30 minutes, the bartender said that our food would be out shortly, and it wasn’t until 15 minutes after that, that my food came out. We had to wait another 5 minutes for my brother’s food to come out, and by that time my food was barely warm.(It drives me crazy when food comes out at different times.) The food wasn’t that good. Honestly, I wish I had kept going down the street to Chipotle for a carnitas burrito and spent less than half of how much my tacos cost. My watermelon margarita was too sweet and weak, no salt or sugar on the rim, and it was $ 10! Center City prices for a mediocre margarita. If you want a margarita, go to On the Border. But I guess, silly me for ordering anything other than a martini at a place that has a martini glass logo. Shucks! Once we were greeted, the bartenders actually were pretty attentive and asked how our meal was. Although they forgot to put out plates and utensil for us even though we ordered food. Also, my last drink was a beer, and the bartender forgot I had ordered it. Once he was reminded, he quickly brought it out to me. I don’t think the bar service is bad on purpose, either they are new or need more training. There seemed to be a lot of staff on hand as well, although the restaurant was probably only 2⁄3 occupied. However, the kitchen must be a mess back there. I want to come back in the next 6 months and see if they’ve stepped up their game. They need to figure out their issues in the kitchen by then. I want to be able to come here for a quick drink and then head over to PARX without a headache.

This place gets a big ‘meh’ from me. The best thing they have is their queso tater tots which are awesome, fattening goodness. The rest of their food is mediocre at best, for instance, their slider burgers are very average and forgettable. Their drinks are outrageously priced, so if you’re expected to get sloshed on a budget, you’re very wrong. The service is also mediocre, most of the staff seems a bit standoffish but they do their jobs correctly. I didn’t encounter any issues with cleanliness and most operations seemed to be running smooth here. There just wasn’t anything great about it. I might go back for the tater tots, but I can’t really find any other reason to.
