History

Established in 1969.

In 1969 Fire Protection Industries was founded through the merger of a number of independentretail fire protection businesses by a major public utility based in Philadelphia. The company was reformed during an acquisition in 1981 by the French utility Compagnie Generale des Eaux, and, again, in 1987, following acquisition by AMEC, a UK based international construction and engineering group. Fire Protection Industries joined The Moran Group of companies in 1993. Sentinel Sprinkler was merged into Fire Protection Industries (FPI) in 1995, expanding the company’s capabilities in the aftercare of existing facilities.

FPI-​Sentinel provides fire protection solutions for the industrial, pharmaceutical, food processing, institutional, aviation, commercial, residential, and modular structure markets, serving the Mid-​Atlantic region, with offices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
