Terrible service — with other options in the BH area no reason to patron this establishment. Try Soho down the street instead.

I had to take the time to review this place after my great experience despite the horrible reviews. I recently started working down the block and was running errands when I came across this place. It was very early in the morning; at least I’ve never gone at 9: Am to do my nails. I told the lady I only had 30 mins. They welcomed me and where very friendly.
I believe my manicurist’s name was Sara or Susan, she was so nice. She spoke fluent English and asked me my name and tried to do small talk. The best part of my whole manicure was when she massaged my hands (I got sleepy again) then when she was done she took me to the drying fans and massaged my shoulders!!! Hummmm yeah: wow service and all for $ 10 bucks! I observed the other manicurist and they didn’t do the 2 min massage at the end but hey I’ll take it.
The place is clean and spacious. They have an ATM and accept credit card. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because: 1. Their nail color and brand is too basic. (Light pink, pink, red etc) they have OPI which is ok but there’s better brands. 2. They don’t do acrylic, only gel. Gel damages your nails just as much but hey whatever works for you. I will definitely be back.
Prices are good considering its Berkeley Heights.

The worst expierence I’ve ever had. I have been getting gell nails and my friend told me to try 4u nails after the first man finished my nails they were lumpy and thick they were horrible. I had to go back and ask for someone to fix them the next person who fixed them made the nails look much nicer however they are very thin and she basically sanded down all of the gell off my nails. It is not even 1 week later and 2 of my nails have broke and the paint on 4 of my nails is chipping. I am very upset and I am most upset bc I walked in wanted a fill and they broke 2 of my bails and told me I had to get a whole new set! It was a waste of 65 $

This place does not deserve a star. The mani and pedi were painful and they proceeded to charge my card twice for different amounts. Don’t waste your time here and go to Soho Nails instead.

They file your nails paper thin if you are getting a gel wrap. I had to yell at the guy to stop. Another time a girl started on my nails and ran to another customer that just entered and left me sitting there until someone else came over to me. Definitely will not go back ever.

I have been coming to this salon ever since they opened in BH. The quality and professionalism used to be superb. The pedicures couldn’t be beat anywhere. I would always book with Kevin and he used to do such an amazing job I used to tip him $ 10 ! Over the past 6 months after not visiting for a while since Nov 2012, the ownership has changed and so has the service. This service is TERRIBLE. The manicures are so rushed and they have definitely cut corners. I had a set of tips with UV Gel put on a pedicure and my daughters toes and nails done. I spent $ 110 and gave a $ 25 tips for all the services. My gels cracked after two days. The polish they tried to use, the dark vamp colour was clumped and they kept trying to fix my nails. Obviously it made more of a mess, and after sitting there over 1 hour, the tech was too busy complaining and decided to have someone else come over so they can figure out what to do. They wanted to start over after making a huge mess. I was extremely upset and when I called after the UV gels cracked, they told me to come back in. When I decided to give it another try, Kathy was the technician who fixed the cracks, she didnt take off the gels she filed them down and just just did patch work. Again I was definitely not happy. I let her fix them and after 5 days it wasn’t worth my time and money to go back. I called to complain and they told me they would take them off and put them back on. After this my nails were destroyed and I decided not to have them fixed again. I took a break and went back for a pedicure. They no longer have the same technicians and the people who do the pedicures are TERRIBLE. How can you provide a service if you do not speak a lick of English? The girl used the pumice stone and was so harsh and she buffed my skin so roughly she broke the skin in which it was irritated, cracked and bleeding. I told her to just stop! There is only one technician I would allow to give me a basic manicure, and tonite I went there because someone gave me a gift certificate for Christmas. Tonite they had me take a seat in the station and I told them not to file my nails down, well guess what they filed them so thin! I had selected a dark polish, and when my nails were painted I left with blue fingertips. I spoke to the manager who just grinned. I told him I thought the service was terrible and I want my $ back and I do NOT want to ever use the balance on the gift certificate because I will NEVER be back. Terrible service, terrible customer service.
I will NEVER use this place again. Ever since the change of ownership the entire establishment and services are substandard. Save yourself the aggravation and choose somewhere else.

Terrible customer service!!! Pedicure was good not great but the UV gel nails are horrible!!’ Thanks for glueing bricks to the tips of my nails. And the manger had the worse customer service! She should take a class on professionalism.

I have come on and off since it’s open and at first had a really positive experience. But the last time I went I picked a color and when the technician started to apply it I noticed the color was sticky and old. I finally said, «Could you please get a new bottle?» (I’m annoyed that I even had to ask!) and so she got up to look for one. When she couldn’t find the color I picked, I saw her surreptitiously add thinner to the existing bottle that was old! Not realizing I saw her, she turned and came to apply it. «No,» I said, «I don’t want that on my nails. I will pick a new color.» I did, but she did a mediocre job. I have not been back since.

I’ve been coming here for over two years now & the past few visits have been totally disappointing. I think they have new owners or something because the techs they have working there now are constantly changing and nowhere near as talented as they used to be. The girl who did my nails today was in such a hurry to go outside and smoke a cigarette that she didn’t even help me carry my bag, phone or car keys over to the drying table. Not to mention she was rude & did a crappy job on my nails. What a shame, I used to LOVE this salon :(

I have been here a few times, and most have been okay, but my last two visits have been terrible. The past two times I went to 4u for a pedi and mani pedi, the staff was very unprofessional, ignored myself and other customers, and tried to rush my friends and i out. The most recent trip, the girl giving my pedicure dropped multiple tools on the floor and just picked them up and continued using them, without cleaning or getting new ones. She also messed up my color so many times and tried to fix it with her nails that my toes ended up red and irritated, and I still had paint around my nails.
The worst part, however, was by far the manicure, if you can even call it that. The girl was rude to me, yelling at me where to put my hands rather then asking me to move them. She also did not even moisturize or massage my hands AT ALL, and ignored my cuticles completely. Then she said under her breath while painting my nails, «I think im still drunk from last night hahaha oops you didnt hear that!» I was ready to walk out right then and there, but no, after finishing painting my nails she says, «ugh finally i can have a cigarette.» are you serious??? To top it all off, she took my money right out of my wallet instead of waitig for my nails to dry! And she overcharged me and was extremely rude and didnt even help me, (she made someone else do it) when I asked for the money back once my nails were done drying.
Absolutely the worst nail experience of my life. I definitely am never going back there.
