Business Owner

Emily M. Altman, MD, FAAD: Founder and Medical Director, Advanced Skin Wisdom is a board-​certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist who specializes in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology in Livingston, NJ.

A graduate of the New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Altman completed her residency in dermatology at Columbia University in 1997 and a fellowship in dermatopathology at New York University in 1998. She has published numerous scientific articles in medical journals and is a member of a number of professional organizations.

Dr. Altman was Chief of Dermatology Section at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center from 2000 to 2010, is affiliated with the Saint Barnabas Medical Center, and has been in private practice at Comprehensive Dermatology and Laser Center since 2000. Dr. Altman was named one of New Jersey’s Top Doctors by New Jersey Monthly magazine.
