Avia Travel was established in 1987 and has offered creative, affordable fares along with knowledgeable, prompt and caring services ever since.

We have personally traveled much of Asia and also maintain personal relationships with our in-​country operators and loyal clients; and we use all this experience to make your journey the best it can be. Although our specialty is Asia, we send people all over the world — on honeymoons, around-​the-​world trips, and whatever else our clients dream up!

History

Established in 1987.

Avia Travel began as the travel desk at VIA (formerly Volunteers in Asia/​Trans-​Pacific Exchange), a non-​profit organization dedicated to increasing understanding between the United States and Asia. For more information please visit www​.viapro​grams​.org.

Avia Travel is now independent of VIA; however, we still support VIA’s mission in spirit and continue to work with them as well as many other educational and non-​governmental organizations.

Sue L.

Business Owner

Sue has been a travel agent for over 25 years and was an international tour guide before that. She continues to learn about Asia’s changing cultures by visiting them, her most recent destinations being Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Sue’s extensive experience allows her to share her knowledge of how to make international travel as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible. She loves trekking, gardening, reading history books, and her family.
