We offer individualized tutoring to students of all levels in:

Elementary math, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-​Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, English, History and Spanish. We also tutor for standardized tests including SAT, ACT, SAT II, CAHSEE, ISEE and HSPT.

Our tutors are highly trained and motivated individuals who specialize in their respective subjects, and who are familiar with the programs at local schools. We carefully select each of our tutors, and every tutor is screened, assessed and trained before working with students.

We believe that our program structure and student-​to-​tutor ratios not only affirm new concepts and material, but also encourage student comfort and confidence. Every student learns in a unique way, and we strive to customize student curricula based on their personal and academic needs.

History

Established in 1988.

The Berkeley Tutoring Center opened in 1988 and has worked continuously with students from Berkeley, Albany, and surrounding communities. We serve hundreds of students at our Berkeley center, and we cater to both public schools and private institutions. Our extended history in the area means that we have a comprehensive understanding of local school curricula, and we use this knowledge to provide focused, effective tutoring.
