Be Wed By Mitra

I honestly have no words to express how thankful I am for Mitra and all of the services she provided. I actually miss talking to her because she is just so wonderful. I would highly recommend Be Wed & Mitra without hesitation.
We had executed a lot of wedding plans, prior to her coming into the picture (vendors, florist, venue etc.) but the month or so before the wedding, she stepped in and took over. I must have thrown a million and a half things at her and she «got it» all. With Mitra’s calm demeanor, sweet personality and sense of urgency, I immediately trusted her. So, when the day came I knew everything would be handled how we would want it, from the small details to the most important parts. I had no doubt in my mind, that she would handle it all and ensure that our big day would be a seamless event.
Our wedding had an Indian ceremony and a western reception, so there was definitely a lot going (including two different caterers). Mitra worked with both families and understood the vision I (as a Bride) wanted, but also helped stay true to some of the Indian traditions that we needed to include. Mitra was the perfect balance and mediator for both of our families and enabled us see both sides. Her husband was also truly amazing and everyone who had met them at the wedding adored them and commended us on how our entire day went without a hitch.
There are so many moments of the wedding that Mitra was a huge part of and I would have never expected that from a wedding coordinator, but now knowing who Mitra is, I wouldn’t expect anything less. One little example: We had to change from our traditional clothing to our western clothes and could not take part in the cocktail hour, so who comes to the Bridal room surprising us with champagne and hors d’oeuvres? But of course, Mitra! Every time I looked over my shoulder she was there helping and adding that extra smile of support and encouragement. I couldn’t have done it without her.
I can go on forever, but all I have to say is that Mitra is an amazing coordinator and woman. My entire family is extremely thankful for her and I will never forget all that she did to make our day as perfect as it was.

Mitra was the day/​month of co-​ordinator for our 2 day Indian wedding and if you’re looking for a wedding planner, I’d say stop right now and get Mitra on board! From the start, she was very friendly and easy to talk to. She offered a helping hand by providing some vendor recommendations and also answering a lot of the questions we had from the start. Both of our parents live on the east coast and we were planning a wedding in the bay area, so having a planner who had her ducks in a row was very very helpful to us. A month before the wedding, our venue co-​ordinator left without letting us know so naturally we started to freak out. Having Mitra as our co-​ordinator was like a breath of fresh air– she would patiently work with our new co-​ordinator (who was not easy to work with) and try her best to make sure we got everything we needed. She contacted the vendors pro-​actively and worked with us to make sure they all got paid and our events ran very smoothly. Her experience really brought a lot of value and helped us stay calm and enjoy our wedding day!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Mitra. She coordinated our wedding in July and did a tremendous job! We could not have been happier with the way she handled everything.
We initially looked at several other coordinator services before discovering Mitra through a recommendation. We interviewed others, but never felt the right fit. For many of them, we came away with a sense of snobbishness that made me feel like I would be upselled at every turn. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, I just wanted to surround myself with people that were genuinely interested in understanding what I wanted my wedding to be like and to use their expertise to help me make it a reality. Mitra fit what we were looking for in a wedding coordinator, no snobbishness, no upselling, no guilt tripping about wanting to keep things affordable. Just helpful, friendly guidance. We chose her for month-​of coordination but we ended up getting to consult with her for months ahead of time.
If you are looking for someone that is smart, easy to talk to, gives you personal attention, and remains friendly, calm, and on top of her game throughout the entire wedding process — Mitra is who you want. We had already booked a lot of the other vendors (e.g. catering, florist, etc.) that we liked earlier on, so we were really looking for someone to help guide us through the rest of the process, offer advice, a thorough timeline, and to essentially run the show on the wedding day. Mitra was so supportive, both practically and emotionally throughout — she is knowledgeable and great at researching options, providing helpful suggestions, and giving friendly reminders on upcoming tasks to keep us all on track.
On the day of the wedding, several of my guests commented on how friendly and calm she was. It was so nice to hear after the wedding, but not at all surprising. She executed each part of the wedding seamlessly, and on the couple occasions where she needed me to make a decision (e.g. vendors brought the wrong type of table card holders that were too high and fell with slight wind), she came up to me calmly and was already prepared with possible solutions (e.g. she placed the table cards on the table in a really nice and secure way). I felt really well taken care of and I was so happy to have her there — after months of consistent communication, on the wedding day she felt like a good friend who was managing it all and I could just enjoy myself.
I highly recommend her and her services. We had a fabulous experience working with Mitra and are so glad we chose her for our big day!

Mitra is wonderful to work with! She is kind, organized, and you can tell she loves what she does. I am a wedding vendor who has worked with different wedding planners, and Mitra truly stands out as just an all around easy to work with professional wedding planner. Mitra goes above and beyond for her clients by remembering the small details such as adding in times for the bride to eat, and recommending specialized vendors. She also coordinates with vendors very efficiently and clearly. I sometimes have to reach out to wedding planners for information, but that was definitely not the case with Mitra, who was on top of all information and communication from start to finish. Mitra you make being a wedding vendor so much easier — I hope to work with you again soon!

I met Mitra tonight at a wedding. She was calm, cool and collected — which is not what many wedding planners are. She executed the set-​up of multiple vendors all on a very small time frame. Highly recommend!
