Description

Specialties

I specialize in working with men, women, couples and families resolve internal and interpersonal conflict by helping them to increase their awareness of themselves and offer tools in how to communicate more effectively. I specialize in helping people reduce the symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, addictions (especially food and sex), anger and repetitive conflict. I also specialize in working with men on issues related to their sexuality, major life transitions, and finding more meaning in their lives.

I work with my clients in a warm, authentic and engaged way. I listen intently, to both what my clients are saying, and to their unconscious communication as well. I have a large capacity for acceptance, and balance sitting back and listening to my clients with challenging them when the situation calls for it. I bring my own passion for self-inquiry and growth to the clients I work with.

History

Established in 2011.

With over five years of clinical experience, I recently opened my doors to my private practice in 2011.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

I believe that psychotherapy is deeply powerful and effective. I recognize the power of ongoing collaboration and allowing oneself to be open and vulnerable with another person for the purpose of growth. For psychotherapy to be most effective, I believe it requires a commitment and patience from both myself and my clients.

I bring my own passion for self-inquiry and growth to the clients I work with.

I also bring all of my life experience to my work. Having formerly worked in the financial markets prior to studying psychology, I am familiar with the corporate environment as well as the impact of making a significant career and life transition. I am also aware of the challenges that come with possessing emotional sensitivity in environments that seemingly do not support that, particularly as a man.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a Masters in Counseling Psychology from California Institute for Integral Studies. I am also a Certified Hakomi Therapist.
