Established in 2013.

Banie Brothers Inc. Was established in 1968 I (Mohammad Banie) joined my brothers in 1972 due to retirement of one the brothers corporation was dissolved in 1995. At his time I started Mohammad’s Rug Gallery in Mill Valley in 2006 due to my health challenges and downside of the business I closed my gallery.

Now that I feel better than ever and the economy is in rise and improving, I got an incredible offer for store front in Berkeley from a great friend that I could not refuse and I decided to start the

Mohammed came to my house to pick up my rug. That was impressive to me. My rug was DIRTY. A few weeks latter Mohammed called to let me know it was now CLEAN. Wow It looks Great. He is a true professional and shows a level of ability that comes from a trade being handed down from generation to generation. Great asset to the community.

Our Tufenkian rugs are probably the most valuable possession in our house, so we were somewhat nervous about having them cleaned. Mohammad Banie did an amazing job. He also sourced underlays that would work with our radiant heat (and wouldn’t melt onto our polished concrete floors) and he happily scheduled around our travel dates. He picked them, up and delivered them with a cheerful professionalism and enthusiasm. We can highly recommend Berkeley rug house for all your rug needs!
