Berkeley Yellow Cab

Do you think its fair for a normal $ 20 trip raise to $ 30?
This company said yes. And tell me this is Bay Area!

Frustrating.
Before you read the review below, my update is that when a driver finally came, he was very professional, courteous and friendly — and got me to my destination promptly. I’m revising my rating to 2 stars.
Lazy or stupid? Hard to say.
I waited inside the house for the cab to arrive, since they said 25 – 30 minutes, and I couldn’t just sit out on the street and wait for them.
Apparently, the driver arrived at some point but did not get out of his cab when he arrived at my house. I don’t have a window onto the street, so I had no idea he was here. The front door was wide open, and I was sitting a few feet away, waiting.
They apparently used their caller ID and just called the phone from which I called them to order the taxi. A phone I don’t have access to. When no one answered the phone, they called again… and then LEFT.
Duh — how about getting out of the car and walking 10 yards and notice the open door and the person still waiting?
Meanwhile, my car is in a place where it is at high risk of being ticketed or towed…
Could we please have a decent taxi cab company around here?

TERRIBLE TAXI EXPERIENCE
Driver refused to accept credit card and then proceeded to take a huge detour to an ATM when I knew full well there was an ATM directly on our way which would require zero deviation from the quickest route.
After paying my fare in cash the driver (Mukreet Singh) did not give me the full amount of change.
Sleazy, slow and dishonest — don’t use them.

I would actually just give them 0 stars. I called at 6:10 and they said 10 – 15 minutes. I called again at 6:30 asking if they were coming and they were very rude but said it was on its way. I called again at 6:40 and they ignored my call! And the one after that! They finally showed up at 6:45 and honked at me, didn’t even apologize for how late they were. Then they asked if they could take me to the airport when I said multiple times that I wanted to go to the BART. Worst taxi service ever. It was ridiculous

This cab company has great services! Very nice and friendly people! My wife and I use there services often in the Berkeley area to Sf. They are very quick and know there way around! They’ll take the shortest routes and make sure you get to your destination on time. I would recommend this service to people looking for quick and good quality service!

I just called this cab company for an inquiry, but now I refuse to purchase its services. The guy I talked to on the phone was so nasty! I’m using another cab service.
