Big Red is a community-​focused, sustainable, mobile beer garden that donates 100% of its profits to local charities. The Big Red Beer Wagon raises money by selling draft beer (and other organic beverages) at food truck gatherings, festivals, farmer’s markets, and various charity functions. Our mission is to educate our community about organic and sustainable issues while having fun and socializing with delicious organic beverages in hand.

History

Established in 2014.

The Big Red Beer Wagon is the brainchild of Bison Organic Beer – a 100% certified organic brewing company headquartered in Berkeley, CA. Bison is also a certified B Corp, which means we take extra steps to preserve the environment and maintain transparency with our business. Bison was founded in 1989, making us one of the oldest craft beer brands in the Bay Area. We still strive to inspire positive change and make a significant impact in the local community where we live and work. And this is where The Big Red Beer Wagon comes in.

In addition to making all the beer (and writing all the checks) for Bison Brewing, I’m responsible for inspiring my staff and my customers to think of Bison as more than a beer – we are a movement. I lead by example sharing that one need not sacrifice the pleasures of everyday living to be green and sustainable.
