As a drum teacher, I love working with students of all ages and abilities, and take great pleasure in seeing firsthand how positively music can give a student confidence and joy. I teach lessons in the comfort of your own home so you can use your own drums and don’t need to travel.
History
Established in 2000.
I have taught music professionally for nearly a decade, at my own private instruction studio, and as faculty at Music Maker School in Acton, MA and Red House Studios in Walnut Creek, CA. I have a B.A. with honors from Berklee College of Music in Boston with an emphasis on drum set performance, and have performed worldwide in genres ranging from jazz to rock to Latin to classical to funk.

Business Owner
Carrie Jahde has earned national awards and a great deal of notoriety over the past decade for her versatile, passionate, and unique approach to drumming. Currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, she maintains a full-time touring, recording and teaching schedule, working with musical groups ranging in style from jazz to Latin to funk to R&B.
Carrie graduated summa cum laude from Berklee College of Music in Boston. Her performance venues have spanned the East Coast, West Coast, and Europe. Highlights include the LuccaJazzDonna international jazz festival in Italy; Riga Music Festival in Latvia; Boston Symphony Hall; San Francisco Carnival; San Francisco Pride; Eugene Celebration; Napa City Nights; Y2K9 International Live Looping Festival; Sonoma Vintage Festival; Tiburon Art Festival and the Downtown Berkeley MusicFest. Carrie is currently on the staff of Mills College as a dance accompanist; and is an endorsed artist with Allegra Drum Crafters.
