Business Owner
Chef Rene’ Cage is an Oakland native who has cooked professionally for over 35 years. Chef Rene began his culinary journey in high school working at the International House of Pancakes in East Oakland CA. After discharging from the U.S. Marine Corps, he chose to follow his dream of becoming a chef and became an apprentice with the Thunderbird/Red Lion Corp. in Vancouver, WA. His education and experience under Chef Lee Chetal, taught Rene cooking with old school European traditions. Chef Rene learned Ice Sculpting and tallow, butchering, garde manger and basic cooking skills.
Chef Rene’ in his long Journey has worked for notables like Fred Worthiem, Steven Segal, Chef James Blake, Chef Cindy Pawlcyn and Karlyn Bergkoff. He has catered the Nieman Marcus Grand Opening in San Francisco, The Topping Off Party for the Columbia Center in Seattle, WA, Main Kitchen Chef at the McCormmick Place Convention Center in Chicago, IL (serving up to 100,000 guest in a 4 day period), the
