Daniel Stea is Stea Realty Group’s broker, owner and managing attorney. Daniel has been one of the top producing East Bay Realtors since 1997 and the only one who is also an experienced real estate attorney who founded his own brokerage. Love Daniel and Yali. We sold our home in Rockridge with them last year and it was an excellent experience. I have very high expectations for real estate agents and Daniel and Yali worked hard to make sure we got top dollar for our property. When we sold our family home, we made a great choice selecting Daniel at Stea Realty Group. His expertise as a broker and lawyer was instrumental in the success of our transaction from start to close. Daniel worked diligently to negotiate a price that we wanted from our current tenants all while showing patience and enthusiasm. Yali’s knowledge of DocuSign expedited our need to make multiple trips to an office to sign paperwork. In our business dealings it is imperative to work with professionals who have sound business practices, pay attention to detail, exhibit respect and kindness. Daniel and Yali met our expectations and we truly valued our partnership.

I worked closely with Daniel and Yali on my recent home purchase. Given the rather mad market conditions in the Bay Area, I was keen to find an estate agent who would exercise patience with my diligence and questions, and, more importantly, who I felt I could trust; someone who just wasn’t in a rush to get me into a place, take their commission and move on.
My experience with Daniel and Yali was overwhelmingly positive. They spent a considerably amount of time and effort advising me, and dealing with lots of detailed, often obscure, questions. Additionally, when there were homes that I showed an interest in, where they had a concern, they made those concerns clear to me. Clearly, a less trustworthy team could have just got me in the home, taken their cut and gone off to the next.
Whilst trust and confidence were my primary criteria, the level of service that I got from Daniel and Yali was just tremendous. They did some post-​sale work on arranging for some re-​flooring, which was really beyond what was required.
I’d recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a good, trustworthy, estate agent

I have now sold two houses with Daniel, one in 2010 and one this year, 2015. On both occasions I was completely satisfied. Working with Daniel, Yali and Stea Realty Group was a pleasure. They were incredibly helpful through all phases of the process, from dealing with inspections and the associated work, to getting the houses marketed, showing the houses, working with me through the closing process and celebrating afterward! They are completely professional, knowledgeable and fun to work with. I would unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone looking for a real estate agent in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I worked with Daniel and Stea Realty last year and I just can’t recommend him highly enough. Yes, we got an astounding price for our home (yay!) but even if we didn’t, the work that he put in was absolutely exceptional and we would have still been satisfied. He (and Yali!) were responsive, anticipated our needs/​questions, managed our expectations, were honest and communicated clearly every step of the way.
His knowledge and expertise really helped us make informed decisions that definitely paid off. He never made us feel like we had to throw money (that we didn’t have) at any problems that arose — he kept us informed and helped us make solid decisions that, ultimately, really paid off. He genuinely tailors his solutions to you and your situation. Honestly, there was never a stumble or a miscommunication.
In fact, when the cleaning people he recommended accidentally broke some wine glasses he sent us beautiful crystal goblets to our new home. I mean, right? Class act all the way.

Daniel helped me navigate through a tricky real estate sale (a 2-​unit condominiumized high-​end property) in the soft market of 2009. He did a great job of working with the tenants and keeping them calm amidst the barrage of «lookers» at all hours of the day and night. He was also tireless and upbeat in dealing with over two months of Sunday open houses and, finally, with demanding buyers and late light deadlines. Although the final prices of the two properties were not quite what we had hoped for, I feel good about having closed relatively quickly at prices that were acceptable to me in a dicey market. I plan to use Stea Realty again in the near future to sell a relative’s Berkeley home. I highly recommend Stea/​Daniel and would be happy to be a reference if that is helpful.
