Established in 2004.

The Easy Copy opened its doors in 2004. We continue to provide copying services in a building with a long history of serving the Bay Area’s photo copy needs. Our store is conveniently located near the corner of Ashby Ave. and Shattuck Ave. We offer copying, printing, computer access, readers, posters, banners, mounting, lamination, viedo duplication, mail box service and a variety of other services. We offer helpful service, quality copies at a very low price.

Do not come here if you intend to use your own paper, even if you are fully able to describe said paper and show original packaging. I understand not wanting to screw up expensive machines, but literally every other copy shop I have ever gone to has allowed me to bring in custom paper — nice stuff like 80lb strathmore that picks up color just right. The person at the store also tried to argue with me that no one accepts custom paper (not true), because it might damage the machines (also highly unlikely, and someone who works with paper every day should be able to tell which papers are likely to damage a printer — the employee did not even bother to look at my paper, just waved me away). The printers are the same type used in every other print shop, so not a valid argument. Finally, the last off putting remark was that the person said the store had a $ 5 dollar minimum. They must never offer test prints to designers then I guess? I would have been ok with the policies if the store had any alternatives for me, but if they did, the employee did not make any effort to mention them.

I’m a long-​time customer just never took the time to write a review. Sorry. One of the reasons I’m a long-​time customer is the superb service and individual attention that is not offered at the major copy stores i.e. Kinkos.
I am always greeted and feel very welcome in this Easy Copy store. I appreciate that personal touch and plan to continue visiting this store for years to come.

I love this place for several reasons! First, he has designated parking just for his customers! Next, he always greets me with hello and how have you been. He even stayed opened a few minutes late NYE! He provides copy, print, and fax services at reasonable rates in comparison to the big retail chains! Thank you Easy Copy Center!

Easy Copy Center, I haven’t flaked out on you! Here is the review I promised! (And, no, I am not secretly the owner of Easy Copy Center. Gosh, I kinda feel ashamed that I don’t even know the man’s name!).
Anyways, I used to live on Ashby/​Telegraph, so this copy place was perfectly located between me and Berkeley Bowl (and the cheap Chevron station). And lucky for my lazy self, Easy Copy Center has a couple parking spots in the back for those who live close but still drive everywhere. Often the spaces are blocked with a cone, but that cone is for YOU and me to move since we are their customers. And if you really just want to run in/​out, there is metered parking in front on Shattuck.
What you can expect is a lot of machines, several computers, a couple other folks, and a hardworking man running everything. He’s not smiley friendly, but he’s friendly in his own way. I was impressed that he recognized me every time I came back. I came mainly for the excellent color copies, which were 25 cents each if I printed 100+. I was never charged for computer time (which was me plugging in my USB to print my file) and always received the help I needed. Plus I love any place that takes credit card.
Overall, I appreciate this small business and hope you can too!

I like to support small business but that business needs to provide good customer service. The owner refused to print my documents unless I paid to use his computers and then print it out… but i had already emailed it to him and was just going to pay for him to print it. Not because I cared about the extra internet usage fees but because my email often makes me go through many extra verification steps when using foreign computers and other copy places never have a problem with this! He was rude, unaccomadating and knows nothing of customer service!

I find that giving a business who is trying to stay afloat a bad review because if fax prices, is ridiculous. Every place you go charges 1 dollar per page, that is totally standard. I’ve worked for copy central, OfficeMax and several other places that were even more expensive.
Also, leaving a bad review because its busy is also ridiculous. I had a great experience here, employee was helpful, services were affordable and its a much needed asset to the area.

Whoa, lots of hate for this place!
Granted, I don’t come here to do small orders/​print just a few sheets, so I can’t speak on that area. But, if you’re a small business owner and need to make menu print outs, laminated sheets, and most importantly bound books this is a great place to do so! We’ve been making all of our various invoice books here and they are always done within a day and reasonably priced. The owner is very friendly and remembers everyone’s face (seriously, I didn’t see him for like two years and I went back in and he recognized me right away).

Beware: this business does not accept the Unilocal discount purchased on this site.
Their color copying machine did not work. And to make double sided copies, they have to feed the paper in on the second side — not ideal if you’re making a large number of copies.
Last, they are understaffed. One person running around like crazy trying to fix broken machines and service more than ten customers at once. Get ready to wait a long time if you come here.
I would try Kwik Copy, just one block down on 14th, toward Broadway.

Price gouging and unreasonable staff. I called to ask if they could simply print out a one page document if I emailed it to them. The man on the phone told me there would be a two dollar «computer charge», plus the cost of printing even though I did not need to use the computer. As I was telling him there are other places in town that provide this service for free, he just hung up on me. Sukam Copy on University and Cal Copy on Shattuck are both more than happy to print attachments for you for the cost of the printing.

We were pleasantly surprised with Easy Copy Center– we made 1050 B/​W copies, and it cost about $ 28. (The more you copy, the cheaper it is. For our mountain of copies, it was 2.5 cents/​page.) The owner was really nice and helpful (fixed every paper jam I had), and the copy machine worked perfectly.
No problems, highly recommended little mom ‘n’ pop place (with high ceilings and a gorgeous spiral staircase to boot).

I found this business overpriced and they offered poor service. To print a copy from the computer they charged me for computer time ($ 1.50) and also were unresponsive when I asked for what printer to print to. The man made me feel like a burden when I wanted to support his business.
As much as I’d like to support local stores, Kinkos offers much better service.

This place is a complete rip off. $ 2 to use the internet for 15 minutes. Fair enough, that might be somewhat standard these days. HOWEVER, I had the owner fax a total of 11 pages for me and was not made aware that the total came to $ 1 per page faxed until after the task had been completed.
I’m sorry but $ 11 to fax 11 sheets of paper? That is ridiculous. That amount probably paid the entire phone bill for Easy Copy Center for the month.
Not to mention that the owner responded to my look of disbelief at the price with an oh so helpful gesture toward the tiny sign behind him listing the outrageous price.
OVERPRICED. AVOID EASY COPY CENTER ON SHATTUCK IN BERKELEY AT ALL COSTS.
