Premise of my visit — I took a mid-​late teen bro who just moved in with me for his first physical exam.
Location/​facility — This is the most pardonable aspect because they are relocating their office (the whole building is under a remodeling project). The office is easy to find, though the large parking lot is NOT validated for patients. I suggest street parking instead.
Reception –adequately curt. Not overtly friendly, but it’s job done. I had to fill out and sign 4 – 5 sheets of basic info, but I suppose that’s expected of first time patients. One of the receptionists nicely led me into the patient’s room since my bro went inside first while I worked at the papers.
The dreaded wait –Typical 30 – 45 minutes wait, 5 – 15 minutes actual diagnosis/​actual check up. Toy’s Story 3 was playing on a large TV mounted on the wall. The sofa-​chairs were surprisingly comfortable.
Dr. Enz — Unfortunately my experiences could not echo the reviewer below me. Upon seeing us, Dr. Enz entered a monologue that ranged from the top 4 causes of teen death, the need to eat less meat and more vegetable/​fruits, and the dangers of hiv and std to teens.
Frankly, many ‘facts’ of the conversation sounded as if they were coming straight out of a Buzzfeed article. Not once did he asked about our diet, exercise habits or much of anything, before volunteering his opinions. I wished the interaction were more mutual rather than one-​sided.
One more thing– my bro got a TB test shot immediately after he entered the clinic. I was not told of this until he texted me ‘oh they just gave me a tb-​test lol’. Later as we were leaving, we were told that either come back in 2 days for the TB skin test reading, or give them a phone call to report the skin-​test result… what?
… So according to a 2007 manual for NJ health and Senior Services for Standards of Care for Tuberculosis Disease and Latent TB Infection (which i provided the full title in case you wish to google), a patient should never read his own test. I also found another 1985 study by Rissler et al, documenting that patient can, in fact, be trained to read rather accurate skin-​test results. But those patients were provided with thorough instructions on why, when and how to read the skin result. We were told to «just give us a call and tell us what it looks like».
I saw many families with children in the lobby, and all seem perfectly content to be there. But for us, I’m pretty sure we won’t come back.

Hi, my name is Stephanie Morales. I have been with Dr. Enz since I was born. I was supposed to find a new doctor once I turned 18, but I love his work so much that I am almost 20 years old now and I continue to see him.
Not only does he do check ups, and prescribe me with medicine that does fix me up, he also gives me great advice now that I am in college. He has become sort of like my mentor.
Small room, but it feels more «homely and friendly» like that. Great staff, that ACTUALLY care for your child. You can tell they are not just doing it because it is their job, they are always happy when you walk in, especially Dr. Enz.
Dr. Enz loves children. He always starts by asking the kids if they eat healthy food or junk food, or anything to start a conversation JUST to help kids ease their mind about being at a doctors place. YES, you may have to wait a few minutes, but it is wortb seeing him. People just need to learn to be patient. They have been fixing up the place so improvement is always good. I love that he cares for children. I admire his work, truly.

We had to switch doctors due to an insurance change, and we were assigned to Dr. Enz and will be switching as soon as possible.
At our previous pediatrician (Kiwi Pediatrics), my daughter did cry when the doctor came in, since she thought she’d get a shot. But she played happily in the waiting room and ran back when they called her name.
At Dr. Enz’s office, she cries as soon as she knows we’re going to the doctor, and cries in the waiting room and never plays with any of the toys.
We always have to wait a long time. The last time we went in for a sick visit, we were in the exam room for an hour before Dr. Enz came in. That’s just too long to try to keep a sick toddler content when she’s already sad about being there.
Dr. Enz told us when we first met with him that he’s very into preventative medicine, and I guess that’s what he’s trying to do when he talks about food all the time. But it’s literally all he’ll talk about. Every time I’m there, he tells me to make my daughter yogurt smoothies for breakfast… oh, like I haven’t thought of that and done it a hundred times!
He also always starts out by talking about food asking her «Do you like chicken nuggets?» (she’s never had them) «Do you like gum?» (She’s two! Of course she doesn’t chew gum!). She just buries her face in me during this questioning while I try to act like these ridiculous questions are fun and interesting for her sake.
We will be switching as soon as we possibly can.

My kids have been seeing Dr. Enz for years. I love that he really takes time to address any questions or concerns. His staff is friendly and professional. The office seems to be going under some positive renovations. I always try to schedule early appointments to avoid waiting, BUT he’s worth it.
