I cannot say enough wonderful things about Annika and her talents. My husband and I hired Annika to help us at night for the first two weeks at home with our little girl who was very small and struggled with reflux and gas pains. We could tell right from the start that Annika truly loves what she does as she was so caring, loving, and observant with our little one and took such good care of her at night, allowing us to get some much needed rest. In addition to caring for our little one, she assisted me with breastfeeding, and gave us really helpful tips and advice for helping us get her to sleep in the rock n’ play and swing, and she provided me with a number of wonderful books and resources on topics I was interested in reading more about (infant sleep, relfux, etc.). Annika is so knowledgeable, and what struck me is how she really takes the time to listen to parents and observe babies to best meet their needs. I was so impressed with how she cared for my daughter– she is a baby whisperer!!! I had a c-​section and the first few weeks were really difficult for me. I do not know what I would have done without Annika and will definitely be hiring her as a postpartum doula if/​when we have another child.

I made it through the first 6 weeks of being a new mama before admitting that I needed an expert’s help with my son’s sleeping — not to mention a much needed break! When I called Annika, I hadn’t slept in a bed for several weeks, as my son would only sleep being held against me on the couch. Annika assured me that we didn’t need to spend our nights like that, and within days my son was sleeping happily in a rock ‘n play for several hours at a time, and I got to sleep in a bed again!
We worked with Annika for about a month, and she made me feel infinitely more confident in my ability to help my son sleep appropriately for his age. She answered my millions of questions patiently and throughly, even after she’d stopped staying over with us. She continued to support us with tips on transitioning to a crib, and saved my sanity when the four month sleep regression hit — a month early!
I echo the other reviewers that Annika is kind, loving, supportive, and most importantly, she is amazing with babies. I don’t know what I would have done without her.

Annika was our night doula for the first 3 months of our baby Jack’s life. She was an amazing help and resource to us, and a joy to have in our home. She is extremely knowledgeable about babies and sleep, and it was always a great relief when she showed up each night to take care of Jack. We trusted her completely which enabled both my husband and I to get a good night’s rest and be better prepared for each new day with Jack. Annika was also very helpful in helping us identify Jack’s reflux issue so that we were able to discuss with the pediatrician and take actions to remedy it, helping his sleep immensely. I would recommend Annika without hesitation to anyone with a new baby!

I also cannot say enough good things about Annika. Having Annika as a night doula 4 nights a week was well worth the expense in order to feel well rested even with a tiny baby. Yes, actually ‘well rested’ thank you Annika! What impressed me even more with Annika was her help and advice on helping our baby Sienna to sleep better generally (Annika is a great resource as a sleep expert also) from making small adjustments to the room, to trying different beds when our baby suffered from painful reflux. Annika is incredibly well read and experienced on everything baby and some of her suggestions meant that we were able to sort issues which came up quickly and easily so that our baby was happy, comfortable and slept easily. Annika will also happily lend her books which was really helpful. She manages to be so wise and intelligent about baby matters whilst never in the slightest bit pushy about her ideas and views — the perfect balance. I cannot recommend Annika highly enough!

Annika is an infant sleep expert + postpartum doula in one. She does day and night work — and I rested well every time she was caring for my newborn. She has lots of ideas and knowledge but never forces them on you — she really respects a new parent and it shows. She just has sooooo much baby experience, she’s super confident with babies and that puts both baby and mama at ease. I learned a lot — a lot — a lot from her. So glad I worked with her and if I had another baby I would book her early and often. Someone who can turn newborn and postpartum stress into relaxed joy is just priceless.
Excellent listener too! Once I mentioned I was dying for a brownie… the next time she came over she had a box of brownies. LOVE HER.

I can’t say enough good things about Annika and have absolutely no complaints. As a new single mama to an infant who was colicky and struggling with reflux and gas pain, I was in desperate need of some sleep, and hired Annika to spend 7 or 8 nights here (spread out over a few weeks) so I could try to catch up on some much needed rest every so often.
Here are some things you should know about Annika: She’s probably one of the most loving people you’ll ever meet — she held, looked at, and cared for my daughter as if she were her own. I couldn’t have hoped for anything more. She’s punctual, reliable, and trustworthy. She’s professional, empathetic, and simply a pleasure to be around. She keeps amazingly detailed notes about how the night went, including times baby ate, had dirty or wet diapers, how much she ate, if/​when she seemed to experience reflux or gas pain, and how the night went overall. What new mom doesn’t love knowing all the details you find yourself wondering about after the fact? She knows a ton about sleep training and can answer your questions if you have any, or offer suggestions. Knowing my daughter was in Annika’s experienced hands, I was able to go to sleep stress-​free.
