I have never been treated so poorly in a store in my life. I am a devoted supporter of local business, but I will never walk in to this store again. With so many other options, it will cause me no distress to shop elsewhere. The store is a stain on an otherwise delightful street.

I always stop here for a truly special gift, including children’s gifts. Everything from the matchbooks to the textiles is so well curated you can’t go wrong. Beautiful gift wrapping. The service is so warm(I forget the name of the gentleman with the beard that I had a chat with the other day but he is lovely and made me feel so welcome.) A local treasure for me for sure.

I love this little shop and always stop in here when in the area. Great finds and little french things for your home or gifts. Always friendly staff there and they let you take your time wandering through.

Beautiful store no doubt, customer service is lacking. Lots of eye candy and beautiful things. I have met some very gracious people at other stores in the area, not warm and fuzzy here.

I walked into Nest for the first time the other day and instantly fell in love! They have a well curated collection of clothing, stationery, books, kids toys and vintage goods that will leave you wanting more. The clerk behind the counter was friendly and very helpful. I mentioned that it was my first time visiting Fourth Street and she recommended a few other shops and sights to see nearby. Nest really deserves more credit for being an incredibly thoughtful, well-crafted store. Some of their vintage items are more pricey but their paper goods, books and other small items are definitely affordable. Discovering Nest this past Thursday truly made my day and I can’t wait to come back again soon.

I agreed with Ford! Great selection! I can always find something for anyone — for birthdays, weddings esp. the fabulous throw blankets!, all the French merchandise, unique finds, and for last minute gifts. And the associates are always there to help. To Miss Irene C — This what we called Boutique store(this is not KMart!) I’ve seen people like you going around stores(usually not for shopping) and messing up everything you touched! The store needs to look presentable for their customers! So who’s the annoying one? Miss Amara S. — The stores are in upscale neighborhoods ofFillmore and Berkeley, where the most of the shops are unique, and high quality! Of course the prices are a bit higher! Try Target or Ross instead!

it’s unfortunate that ignoring customers to the point of rudeness seems to be an honored tradition in this store at both locations. if the prices were better or the merchandise more unique maybe I could overlook the attitude a little, but when they are surrounded by so many lovely shops with lovely people I’d rather spend elsewhere.

Have never written a Unilocal review before, but had such a terrible experience with this store wanted to warn others as a public service. Spent $ 200 on a cotton tunic from India(the store is seriously overpriced!!!). Because it was so expensive and had some silk content, I took it to the dry cleaners. It came back a different color :-). The dry cleaners showed me the label and that it didn’t say«do not dry clean». The folks at Nest could not have been less interested or helpful. They did not stand behind the product, were not in the least bit interested in working anything out with me. Insisted part of the care label had been cut off(ridiculous, as it was all there), and I left with the conviction I would never grace that doorway again. Have since gotten out the magnifying glass and googled all care label symbols and, no, definitely no symbol about dry cleaning. Overpriced, horrible service, don’t recommend.

Some beautiful things, but the store clerks engage in one of my pet peeves: following customers around and immediately refolding anything you have touched. It’s very annoying.

i don’t know why the reviews aren’t great but it’s fourth street so yep. it’s probably overpriced but still cute and cool to browse. also — i’m a bit confused. there is a nest on fillmore in san francisco but i think that these stores are unrelated? even though they sell similar things? and i’ve definitely been to other similar stores called nest. i guess nest is just a popular name and store theme. nest carries new and vintage items. there were some vintage stuffed animals for like $ 75 that were both cute and creepy. very neat though. jewelry, some stationary, even chocolates.

Very poor customer service. All about being right and making the customer wrong. Although they told me they would refund my money(saved the voice mail) it has yet to show up on my credit card. This all could have been so easy to resolve and yet they chose to make it difficult. After four trips to the store and at least three phone calls I’ll just let my credit card company deal with them. There are so many merchants that make you feel welcomed and respected.
