I go to every lighting store in town, and no one can match the style and diversity of this store. Excellent customer service and repair work, even small questions. Some of my most precious objects in my home, my copper lamp with glowing jewels, a see-​through bead lamp (custom made at Omega) that reflects stars on my ceiling, my second-​hand modern bathtub (yes they sell bathroom fixtures) deep as a Japanese tub. Unlike another store with a shorter, but similar name who buys items dirt cheap from locals and sells at exorbitant prices, I prefer Omegatoo’s fair prices for restored and custom ordered lights. Just fun to drop in to see the beauty of lights and authentic craftsmanship.

When you have something difficult to rewire, you’re wasting you time if you go anywhere else. I’ve had these guys take over a project from someone else, and rewire 2 other fixtures. Take awhile, but reasonable price and clearly experts.

This place is great. The staff is extremely helpful, they do great work, and sell excellent product.

These people have the WORST customer return policy ever and are severely stuck in the stone ages when it comes to any electronic credits/​payments.
I made a large purchase and received a credit for a returned light fixture. The credit was on on a piece of paper which I unfortunately lost. When I went back a few weeks later to purchase additional fixtures, they were completely INFLEXIBLE in honoring my store credit– even though they knew me and understood I lost it.
The staff was completely unsupportive, powerless and unreasonable.
The owners were nowhere to be found– you would think they want to have good customer relations
I will never give these guys my business and they are still sitting with $ 300+ of my money.

This may be the best lighting and design store on the West Coast – and that isn’t hyperbole. A guest has not come into our recently remodeled kitchen and not had a compliment about the lights. «They’re bespoke,» I explain. «But is that a some kind of transmission part,» my gear head friend asks, looking at an accent on the dangling pendent. «Yes, from a ’49 Chrysler,» I answer. «Our designer found out I like old cars.»
If you want one-​of-​a-​kind illumination, come here. They have a beautiful showroom with lots of unique inventory. Or, do what we did and have them make you something completely custom. We have two unique pendents and seven sconces, so far.
There are three rooms to go – dining, library and master bath – and we’ll lighting them at Omega. No question.

I have had the pleasure of working on multiple projects with Mark and Vanessa of Omega Lighting Design, one example, Hook&Ladder Manufacturing Co in Sacramento Ca.
They were lovely to work with, produced a superior product and within budget.
Omega Lighting Design is my first and only go to for custom lighting. We are excited for the upcoming projects we are collaborating on this year.

Absolutely love this store. My husband and I spent over an hour looking at all of the unique fixtures — from funky to formal. We are currently remodeling our kitchen, and the owner was very helpful and provided some great ideas on different styles of pendants and fixtures. He totally got our style and what we were looking for. Now my only problem is I want to upgrade all of my fixtures.

Just started shopping for various types of lighting for a small house. I cannot say enough about the service, advice, professional staff etc. I went on to visit three other lighting shops in the area and was completely ignored by staff and found the lighting options lacking. A woman named Bella handed me her card before I left with the business phone number. Will not be going anywhere else for lighting… ever.

Go buy online, why pay extra $$$ to buy out dated lighting? This place is supper expensive. The employees who work there are nice, but not the owner. He is an asshole.

Wow! I was so impressed with the store’s product quality and customer service. I just remodeled my kitchen and needed a variety of fixtures and ordered them all here after carefully researching on-​line and other local storefront options. They helped me select and custom built six lights, three with fabric shades, and three with glass shades. Perfect execution and very competitive pricing. It was a pleasure each time I visited the store. The designers produce a wide range of creative re-​purposed, retro, modern, rustic, and craftsman lights, all unique one-​offs. Extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of lighting from nuts and bolts to decorating touches.

Omega Lighting & Design offered to do an on the spot repair of a light fixture for my daughters living room ceiling fixture! That meant we could drive away and rehang it all in the same day. What amazing service. While the repair was being done, I enjoyed viewing the highly creative one of a kind fixtures made from an array of objects and parts as well as a terrific selection of antique fixtures. Prices were very reasonable as compared to the New York shop I was last in a month ago. I will be back for sure when I need any lamp related items. By the way they have a large selection of special light bulbs.

I can’t rave enough about Omega! I came into their shop after visiting all the big lighting businesses in SF and the East Bay as well as several boutique lighting shops around the bay area. I had a difficult lighting challenge to solve and not one place could help me.
When I walked into Omega, I was greeted immediately by a helpful staff and at that point met Judi. Judi didn’t have an immediate «NO, we can’t help you,» but instead, listened to me and then came up with a creative solution. Not only that, but she personally babysat and participated in the creation of a custom lighting solution that I desperately needed.
The level of customer service at Omega is impressive, to say the least. I’m now a loyal customer forever.

We hadn’t been to the store in a few years but returned yesterday in order to introduce a friend to this treasure trove of «one offs» and «hard to finds». They have an amazing inventory of lighting fixtures both in their original beauty, as well as cobbled into a brand of beauty somehow new and yet still distinctly vintage.
While we were showing our friend what was available for her project, a sink caught our eye (they have those as well) which we wanted to buy, though unfortunately it did not come in antique white as we desired. We considered another sink as a second choice but weren’t quite sure of either the sink design nor whether the antique-​ish color in question (puzzlingly called «balsa») would match our existing tile and fixtures.
The woman who helped us (Bella) was so kind and helpful that she actually removed their in-​store porcelain sample from the manufacturer’s ordering catalogue, and told us we could take it home if we promised to return it. She even wrote out a self addressed padded envelope and attached postage.
She was so helpful that my wife and I actually felt bad when, after further contemplation, we decided the second choice sink was not quite right for us. Sorry we didn’t settle on the purchase Bella, but thanks for being so helpful. Your porcelain sample is on its way back to the store.

I have to give it to them: within just two days of my posting this review, Omega Lighting contacted me, offering a refund for the $ 20 modification of my fixture. Seems there was an oversight in communication – hence the charge. I appreciate both the gesture and its swiftness – it confirms my initial great impression of this business. Good people, truly beautiful merchandise. I’m sure I’ll be back.

gorgeous fixtures, a mix of old and new. but expensive! I got a frankenstein mashup of old light parts that someone made in to a pretty snazzy pendant lamp for my mom’s remodeling project, boy this turned out to be an investment. but it’s beautiful and the shade is awesome, and it fits perfectly in the house.

I wonder if they’d let me move in?
Great stuff, probably too pricey for me to take home (hence the having to move in), with friendly staff that smiles and says hello to let you know they are available, but doesn’t follow you around, hovering. They even told me to feel free to take photos, which I thought was really cool.
I am drooling over an old chicken feeder turned light, and might have to bite the bullet and pick it up. I mean, it’s a chicken feeder.

I’ve long ogled their gorgeous, gorgeous (if pricey) lighting from all eras — and I finally bought one of their customized funky-​industrial numbers (marrying an old-​timey photographer’s stand to a pearly globe) a few months ago. Too bad it was way too large and clashed with everything in my house — I had to return it, though absolutely no worries from Omega Too.
Recently I asked them to rewire, replace the sockets, and generally retrofit a few lovely old fixtures: an arts and crafts pendant and an art deco chandelier. Fabulous! Blaine did a fantastic job, made an effort to charge us as little as possible, took into consideration our aesthetic concerns, and did it so quickly I’m still having a hard time wrapping my head around it! Get them to rewire anything you’ve got! They’ll actually return your phone calls, too — unlike Dogfork, which completely blew me off.

I don’t think I can say enough about Omega One or Two. If you can dream it, they’ve probably got it. If you’ve pulled your hair out trying to find on the intar-​webs, they probably have several kinds.
Simply put, if you want home items, specifically the building blocks of any good home abode then this is the place you have to go. This is like Home Depot meets the greatest wrecking yard ever conceived of for vintage, unique, hard to find, impossibly beautiful craftsman home details and architectural pieces you can imagine.
Our home has a small cut out viewing door called a SpeakEasy door. I went to Hundleys (FAIL), called high and low looking for this rare piece of hardware, searched the web and no dice. I finally called Omega and viola, they had two pieces and one that was a near match for our door, closer than anything we had seen in catalogs or online. Not to mention the folks here are super cool, took pictures of the pieces and emailed them to me and have handy individuals that can do custom metal and cabinetry. I mean really what more do you need?
