Great dentist. Staff is great. Quite busy but well renowned. The other dentist and dental specialist at This little office are also great. Very good and careful with patients. Work with various insurance carriers and also I’ve seen them help patients with payment plans once or twice.
Dr. Stark is very personable and explains everything thouroughly and in plain speak. He’s not out to charge charge. Charge unnecessarily like some others
Cleanings are great with ManJu (Friday’s) and Karen (other days) are wonderful careful and very thorough. Dr. Starke has been in this community for a long time and is very reputable and explains everything in details. Love this doctor and his staff. They make you very comfortable.
Also very important to me they have early appointments and are flexible of you work far or need special accommodations they’re so good.

Honestly speaking I’ve been to the dentist a lot. I always felt like they were trying to sell me on SOMETHING. My girlfriend and have both been seeing Dr. Stark for a little over a year and a half and have nothing but good things to say about him. Everyone in the office is friendly and patient and delightful to interact with. Dr. Stark is a stand up kind of guy and does great work. The dental hygienist is gentle and thorough. Can not recommend this office enough.

Dr. Stark has been my dentist for over a decade. He has always done great work, but perhaps more importantly, his inherent warmth and humor make it comfortable to be in the chair. The office is clean and the staff friendly. All these factors add up to a patient who’s happy to make the trek over the Richmond bridge for his compassionate high-​quality care.

I have seen Dr. Stark as my dentist for around 10 years and have been consistently impressed by his quality of care he has provided me, even when I’ve had complex dental dramas. He has explained options to me in a user-​friendly manner, and more important, his skill is part-​artist, part-​scientist. That said, a dentist is nothing without a good team, and I have had consistently good teeth cleaning with his dental hygienist who recently alerted Dr. Stark of a potential problem under one of my fillings… and she was right.

I have been a client at Dr Stark’s office for many years and, as happens in time, my dentist retired. I became a patient of Dr Stark after appointments with several others in the practice and have found him to be unequivocally the best dentist in the office. He is prompt, upfront about costs and procedures, and the height of professionalism in all of his dealing. But all of this pales in comparison to his work. My teeth have not looked this good and healthy in years and all of his work is superb. I have always liked the office and staff but now, having a outstanding and reliable dentist has made the entire experience of dentistry at this office complete. If you are looking for a fine dentist, this is your guy.

Dr. Stark is the best dentist I’ve ever had. He is caring, patient an does excellent work. He always takes his time to make sure everything is just right. I had a number of fillings that my previous dentist had missed and Dr. Stark restored them beautifully, so they were virtually unnoticeable when I smiled. I’ve already recommended him to my family and friends. Simply put, he’s a great guy, exceptional dentist and his fees are more than fair. I couldn’t recommend him any more highly.

I was born with bad teeth and I was always a bit nervous about going to the dentist. Fortunately, I met Dr. Stark and have been going to him for more than 10 years and I couldn’t be happier. He’s kind, considerate, patient and does excellent work. Truly an artist. He’s redone most of my mouth, including all the front teeth that show, six new crowns, and everything looks and feels great!
He takes his time, explains everything thoroughly and he and his staff go out of their way to make me feel as comfortable as possible. Also, he has a good personality and a great sense of humor and that’s a huge asset for a dentist. Finally, he charges reasonable rates, at a good location in Berkeley!
I recommend him highly. 5 stars
