I have been doing massage for over 6 years. Having worked at both spas and chiropractic offices, I know how to do both soothing and deep tissue therapuetic work.

Sefora Janel, CMP offers unique massage including a delightful combination of various modalities. She uses long Swedish massage strokes to connect the body and ease tension. In specific areas she uses Deep tissue work to break up knotted tissue, and bring elasticity to tight muscles. She also uses sports massage stretches to lengthen the muscles and bring more mobility. The combination is both restorative and relaxing, leaving you in a serene state of bodily bliss!

I think Sefora is a wonderful massage therapist… really caring and loving in her work, very easy to talk to (or not, as you chose) and thorough. Can give you as much or as little pressure as you’d like, with long flowing movements which I appreciate very much (I’m not the kind of gal that likes thumbs grinding into my pressure points, and without ever telling her, she somehow intuitively understood that). Also, a beautiful temple space that feels like a mini-​retreat to go to visit, even though its centrally located indeed. Thanks Sefora!

Sefora is amazing. I have had many massages from her, particularly when I was dealing with some chronic shoulder and back issues that physical therapy was doing nothing for. She has made that pain melt away, and with the help of a series of her massages and some regular yoga practice my body feels transformed. I would highly recommend Sefora!

Talk about immediate results! I just had the second massage of my life from Sefora last week. I mentioned to her that I was regressing in the 50 consecutive push-​up regimen at my martial arts gym – where at one time I could do 50, I could barely do 25 before collapsing on to my knees. She worked on my shoulders and chest and when I went back to the gym 2 days later, I knocked out 50 push-​ups. Amazing!!! Additionally, I was able to get my hips behind my kicks unlike I have ever before – all from one massage – Geez!
I am able to surrender, relax and breathe out the tension on her table. I love the smell of the oil she uses and the atmosphere in the room. Her movements are calming and fluid. Although I have never been to another massage therapist, I cannot imagine what could make this experience better.
Book 10 visits, immediately – your body needs this ! ! !

Sefora is an extraordinarily talented and intuitive body worker. Yesterday I went for my third session and am still basking in the blissful aftereffects of my body’s release. Over my years in the Bay Area, I have tried multiple massage therapists and have found that Sefora is most attuned to my body’s needs. At times, I feel she understands my body better than I and releases tension I don’t know I’m holding. Her sensitive, open and present heart creates such a safe and delectable space to fully exhale, receive and release. I highly recommend her work. Her professionalism, accessibility and commitment to giving me exactly what I ask for and need are unsurpassed in my experience. Should you indulge, you are in for a true and holistic healing experience.

Sefora is great!
She does not have a routine… She focuses on you. The whole massage is catered specifically to you and your body. She is incredibly intuitive and her technique is phenomenal. I have read most of her reviews and its obvious everyone agrees… Sefora is awesome! If you haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing her massage, you are missing out.

Janel is wonderful! The best massage therapist I’ve seen since I moved back home nearly 2 years ago. She finds your sore spots and works on them, which is something your typical massage therapist might gloss over. She doesn’t have a routine, instead she’ll focus on what’s ailing you and give constructive comments on what you can do at home to keep your aches and pains from flaring up.
I have a bad back, well used to. She’s helped me get my back in working order and I’ve been pain-​free for well over a month now. She knows my body better than I do! I had been going on a weekly basis, but now that things seem to be settling down in my body, I’m going to try every two weeks. That said, I highly recommend doing a package with Janel. It’s a great deal and you get to work with someone who is exceptionally skilled and listens to your needs.

I received one of the best massages I’ve ever had from Janel. I went to her in a world of hurt from some super-​tight muscles, and she literally fixed me. My muscles are often very tight, so it’s a rare massage therapist who can make them feel so much better. Janel provided a warm, nurturing environment where true healing could happen, and it did. I consider myself very picky when it comes to body work, and let me assure you that Janel’s expert touch is by far superior to anything I have experienced.
She is both professional and friendly, and I felt immediately at ease on her table.
Janel’s massage is a deep, relaxing, slow-​moving rhythm, that she administers in long, slow, tai-​chi-​like moves. It always leaves me feeling like I have a body again! And one that I actually like!
Worth every penny!
My only advice is, don’t plan anything after an incredible massage like this, all you’ll want is a nice, long, nap.
