Business Owner

Dr. Colvin graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in 2002. He is certified in Chiropractic Biomechanics of Posture (CBP) and accredited by the Spine Corporation in the application of the SpineCor brace for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS).

Dr. Colvin recognized the need for accessible, affordable care for those without insurance. He decided to open The JOINT after he interviewed many of his patients and asked them their opinions on a drop-​in, non-​insurance model, to which they responded enthusiastically. He also realized that a monthly membership could allow patients ongoing care.

Came in with a stiff neck and sore lower back and left feeling less pain, more aligned, and better informed about what was happening in my body. Dr. Laurent is incredibly knowledgable, thorough, and friendly. He took the time to answer all of my questions and explain what he was doing before each adjustment. Great price and great service — thank you!

This place is great, is NOT a rip-​off, they do clearly tell you that the packages expire. There are two different packages, make sure to read through the them! I love this place cause, it’s fast cheaper than most, and the chiro is on point.

A total ripoff. Went for a one time appointment. Got convinced that the best deal was to pay $ 57 two months in a row for 8 sessions. The trick is that they don’t tell you that the sessions expire (you are supposed to go 4 times per month) And that they are really not closed until 7pm. I went 3 times at 6pm and the door was already locked and they wouldn’t let me in with the excuse that they already were «full». When I explained this to Doc. Laurent he was very rude, disrespectful and said that if I don’t use my sessions I lost them, there are no refunds and basically its not his problem if I can’t be there earlier.
Then as if nothing had happened went very sarcastically and asked do you feel any pain, does anything hurt? and he did his adjustment on me. It was so uncomfortable to let him do an adjustment on me after his rudeness, but all I could think of was «I already gave my money to this lier, so I better get something out of this»
Doc. Laurent’s work is fast and OK. But his manners, care for patients and costumer service is horrible. He just cares about getting people’s money. While I waited to speak to him about my situation I heard how the receptionist was convincing another client to get the same package I had without telling the truth.
I will never recommend this place to anyone. It may looks cheap and a good deal but its just a façade of a ripoff.

Love these guys! I’ve been doing chiropractic for almost 15 years after a series of traumatic injuries– during this time I have seen many great (and several not so great) doctors. Dr. Laurent has always been amazing and I always recommended this place Nd four of my friends have joined as well! Love that you don’t need an appointment and I am always in and out. The pricing is extremely cheap and reasonable, and I find I go more often because I know I am paying for the membership. The new chiro here– Dr. Walton– is amazing! Left again today feeling so much better than when i came in. Perfect mix of friendly personal service, competent work, and efficient with your time. If I could give six stars I would.

What an efficient chiropractic place! There’s just one big waiting room where everyone gets cracked so they just whip through the patients.
No appointments. (Not like you don’t need one. You can’t make one. Just drop-​ins.) They are so fast it doesn’t matter. I was in and out (on a Monday at 11am) in 20min.
Unbelievably low package pricing. And they accept health/​flexible spending cards!

If the business says walk ins allowed and is open till 5 I would expect the business to take the last customer at 5. Instead they told us it was booked and that they wouldn’t take us. We came at 4 and the place closes at 5.

I have been a member here for two months and been consistently getting my adjustment from Dr. Colvin. He’s very good and is a very experience chiro. I feel calm and relax here unlike before where I normally freak out every time I get my neck and back crack. They also have this wall table that you can lean into and get your back and shoulder adjusted from there. I also like that you access through a key card so it’s more convenient to check in. Lastly, the rates for membership is so affordable I highly recommend the joint.

Dr. Colvin is simply the best Chiropractor I have ever been to, and I’ve been to a lot. His adjustments are quick, yet infinitely more thorough than anyone I’ve come across. Whether he is piecing me back together from lifting injuries or doing maintenance, I refuse to let anyone else touch me. More than worth the 40 mile drive.

Laurent and the team are amazing. I have been doing monthly adjustments for over 2 years and cannot speak higher. Prior to coming to The Joint, I paid close to $ 50 each adjustment. with their plan, my monthly for several visits (typically 2−4/month) are less than one visit before.
All the staff are phenomenal. Always friendly, welcoming and work to make you comfortable with the often scary process — I’ve taken both my partner and my mother there (who were both terrified of chiropractic), but ended up loving the team and we less afraid by the end.

After my mid or upper back locked up on me. I could barely walk. My back was causing me constant pain. Hard 7 on a scale of 1 – 10 and even 800 Ml of aspirin didn’t help.
I was in pain the whole night. It was Sunday morning and I couldn’t bare the constant pain.
It was emergency room or try a chiropractor for the first time. The Joint was the only place open.
Came in and was seen in minutes. After a thorough checkup. i was asked to stand next to a wall Dr. Colvin found the problem and after a quick adjustment. I was feeling a little better. Dr. Colvin told me to come back in a few hours for the second adjustment without charging for a second visit.
Well let me cut it short. I’m feeling almost 100%
I’m not religious but, if Dr. Colvin was God, then I would convert to be his disciple.
He performs miracle and he charges nearly nothing for it.
Best $ 19 ever spent in my life.
Don’t walk. If you can, run to Dr. Colvin at The Joint.
Recommend to all my friends.

I’ve got a regular chiropractor in San Francisco, and now a regular one in Albany, but this is where I go if I hurt my back on a weekend. The price is right, and it’s a walk-​in place. You may have to wait, but you’ll be seen. I do think they keep it a little too cold in there — maybe not the best temperature for cracking backs (considering my other chiropractors often put heat on me beforehand). Also, my husband will never go back here. He’s not a fan of chiropractors, but his neck was hurting, so I dragged him here. The doctor who worked on him did something and we heard a loud CRACK. My husband had bad pain around his ribs/​mid-​back area for about a week afterward. (His neck did feel better, though.)

This place is absolutely fantastic! I came in expecting to have to schedule an appointment for a later time, only to find out they specifically cater to walk ins! With a quick and helpful system with great service, this place has everything you need to get you well adjusted.
Dr. Colvin was quick, efficient, with a big flare for jokes! I absolutely enjoyed his help and how he could size up my major issues in only a few minutes!
Whether you have preexisting issues or just need a general tune up, this place is definitely a great place that everyone should visit for their chiropractor needs!

After doing a lot of traveling on planes in a short period of time I ended up with a tweaked SI. My Pilates instructor recommended The Joint. After checking out their Unilocal reviews I decided to give them a shot. They are amazing! Efficient yet very informative. I love the fact that you can walk in and not have to make an appointment. The prices are incredible ($ 19 for your first visit)! They even helped me with the names and numbers of local clinics regarding a dermatology issue I was having (I don’t have insurance presently). I will absolutely be back!

Amazing! Just had an adjustment that made my day, even weekend. If you have time for only one healthy habit or health improvement your best bet will be to get a chiropractic visit. I’ve suffered from knee pain, back pain, neck and shoulder pain. All have been resolved through chiropractic. Thanks Dr. Matt Kamerzell! Now I can go rock climbing with a smile on my face! :)

Dr. Colvin you saved me!!! After I was almost immobilized by a fall, I could hardly move my neck. I had headaches and couldn’t sleep. My posture is a joke too.
You adjusted me and now I feel so much better, and you didn’t put a hard sell on me!

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! get fix in about 10 mins, no appointments, just get fix. I went to another chiropractor a couple of days before going to The Joint. The other chiropractor told me a million things that was wrong and I would have to stop jujitsu or i would be disable soon. So… i went to the joint the next day, 10 mins later, got adjusted, felt like a million bucks, got my range of motion back. First time visit, it ws $ 20. I been back plenty of times.
