Specialties
The Weekend Store makes jewelry for writers, travelers, and other interesting people. We transform typewriter keys, old maps, watches, buttons and other ephemera in to simple yet clever cufflinks, lockets, earrings and rings.
History
Established in 2005.
When I lived in Vermont, a friend owned a business across the Lake called The Store In Essex. It had such a simple name, but was such an exquisite store, with really beautiful things in a totally unexpected location. I moved back to San Francisco, and would walk by an antiques store on Valencia that was only open on the weekends. I thought that was really cool.
I combined elements of the two stores I admired, and came up with the name for my business, The Weekend Store.
