We Rock the Spectrum – Berkeley

We came here for the first time and found the parking area has a high levee before dipping into a parking spot very awkward. I’m handicap myself and was unable to use the spot because my van’s ride height is scraping against the levee. We ended up parking far away on side street which was very awkward and inconvenience to me limping over half a block to the entrance. Unless you are driving a tall SUV, it is not a friendly parking area with very limited parking space. Check-​in was quick, we were there for my son’s friend birthday party. The activities and facilities are okay and plenty fun for most kids. Zipped line is one of the more popular activities and would like to see additional one available, otherwise the little and older kids mix together is not safe and line is extremely long. Now what I miss is some kind of bench seatings at each activity room so p
Some of the parents can sit down and watch over their kids. For the 2hrs we stayed for the birthday party, the experiences is positive and my kids love to go back, i wouldn’t mind if the management fix the parking area so I can park closer without scraping the bottom of my van. I do want to know what is the frequency for am their staff to wipe down their equipment since there are a lot of kids and I won’t know how clean everyone is.

Today was our first time here. I came in with my son and his little buddy. They both LOVED the zipline. They spent most of the afternoon in the swing room area. We also got a chance to play in the train/​lego room and the imaginary play/​dress-​up room. This place has a great selection of dress-​up costumes. I really liked the puppet theater, too. My son even put on a magic puppet show, which really encouraged the use of his still-​developing expressive language.
If I had to give some suggestions– I would make healthy snacks & water available for purchase. We brought our own snacks today but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve accidentally forgotten or left them in the car in the past.
Parking is not great… but it isn’t at many kid-​friendly places in Berkeley.
We will be back.
Overall, the kids had a blast.

If you have young children looking to allow them to burn off energy in a safe place, this is the place for you! Much more efficient than chuck e cheese any day!

I can’t say enough about Kids Gym! If you are looking for a fun place to let your little ones run free to explore and get the wiggles out and their imagination going this is it! All of the different rooms are great and accommodate children of all ages. Its also a wonderful place connect with other parents. The gift shop is icing on the cake and has a nice assortment of goodies. We even found a few treats under $ 7 that my lil one was happy with and didnt break the bank. KIDS GYM –WE ROCK THE SPECTRUM ROCKS!

The folks at We Rock are the best! We have hosted two mid-​winter bday parties here and they both worked out beautifully. The party room is nicely sized and when we arrived the furniture was already in place and the tables had table coverings (colors custom chosen by our daughter). It only took 20 minutes to put everything out for a party with 20 kids and 20 adults because the staff assisted us with unloading and set up. Clean up was the same. Easy! So much easier than a house party.
The kids had a blast and many stayed well after the shin dig b/​c they were having a blast. There is a nice variety of play spaces. Kids can really let it rip if they want (see trampolines), dress up, read books, play house… On and on.
The staff is very friendly and attentive. The place is clean and safe. And the owners could not be more welcoming.

This is an awesome space for kids with special needs and their parents. The equipments here are what you would get at an OT office and pay $$$ to use. Their open play time is great to try out for $ 15 per child is also a great price they have. I would definitely come back as my daughter had a great time here.

This place is great! The staff is very friendly and engages with guests. The main play areas are clean and the kids love it. There are side rooms for different activities: Life Skills/​Imaginary Area, Toddler Room, and Reading Room. There’s even a Quiet Room! They provide small nap beds. They also have a Sensory Calming Room that’s under construction.
When you walk in they have a small store with lots of Melissa and Doug products! I absolutely love Melissa and Doug products! There’s also a preschool attached to the building and the kids do come in to play.
I came around 10am and there was one other family (Mom and Son) then around 10:30am a few more families came. I think this is a great place to come and have the kids run around!

I came today for the first time with my 22 month old son. What a fabulous place! The owner and the staff were extremely friendly and there were so many wonderful activities for my son to try. I also liked the various rooms and the group «circle time.» I wish I had found this place sooner and look forward to coming back.

A good place for your kid to strengthen their core, improve their balance and learn how to share. It’s not just trampolines and swings though. There’s a dim quiet time nook, a library, a kitchen playhouse and more. I was a little jealous of all the activities and tempted to get on that climbing wall myself!

This place was super fun for my 2.5 year old! We were looking for a place to let him burn some energy that was indoors and out of the cold. The place was a bit crowded given it was a holiday weekend, but wonderful rooms, clean, safe and well-​maintained. We will definitely be back!

This place was a lot of fun! Easy to find with signs, good parking and a real nice guy at the front desk to start. $ 15 for the whole day. Lots of different rooms for various aged kiddos. The 2 gym areas had plenty to keep my 4 year old occupied. We were there for 3 hours, definitely worth it.

Came here for my nieces bday. My sister rented out the party room and brought food and pizza in. As you enter the place, there is a gift shop with all sorts of kids toys and costumes. There is a front desk area on the left and you let them know you are here for a birthday party. Right before you go in, everyone needs to take their shoes off and find a cubicle/​locker box to put your shoes. In the middle of the room, there are tables and chairs. In the rooms perimeter you find different rooms like the infant room, library room, quiet zone room, Lego room and a ball pit room and towards the back, 2 bigger rooms with stuff to swing on. I was quite overwhelmed at first but once you take a quick tour, you settle in pretty quick. There is also a huge chalkboard wall that had my nieces name on their which was pretty cool. What was also nice is I saw one of the staff people sanitizing one of the rooms which put me at ease. My daughter had a great time, first time on the infant swing and loved it. She also enjoyed herself in the other rooms as well.

I loved this place as much as my little one and my granddaughter did. As soon as you walk in, it’s very inviting with all the toys and games the kids can drive their parents nuts over on hearing Ooh mommy/​daddy can I have, I want… As for the price I felt it was a little high but that’s just me.
Then once you walk into the play room they have lockers for you to put your things in, however there’s no lock so, you might want to bring one with you if you can, or leave your stuff in the car unseen of course.
As for the play area there’s so much for them to do, my son and granddaughter loves the zip line and the different swings. And they really enjoyed the dramatic play area so much so they both didn’t want to leave when it was time to go. Overall I would definitely come back especially on a hot or rainy day.

Great place to take the kids during free play hours. My nephews are 7 and 8. They liked the zip line, swing room, and bounce area. My niece is 3 and she liked the puzzle room and reading room. There’s also a large chalkboard wall with jumbo size chalk.
Downside is it’s not as clean as I would like it to be. They need to sanitize all the rooms and toys.

I love this place!
So many things to do from crawlers to 12 years of age. I also love how it’s a sensory integration gym for kids. They had miniature gym equipment for toddlers, different themed rooms, rock climbing, monkey bars, zip lining, dance studio, and much more.

My girlfriend hosted her child’s 3^rd bday party and I brought my 2 nieces and we had SOO much fun!!! Jumping, swinging, zip lining … Man. And the staff were so helpful. It took an hour to get them to leave.

Came here the other day with my 2 year old daughter, this was our first time here so we didn’t know what to expect but looked on the website and decided to give it a try. Let me start off by saying that we came here on a Thursday around 11am and there was NO PARKING ANYWHERE — which was annoying but then again parking in Berkeley is always kind of annoying like that. After driving around for about 30 minutes to find parking close by, we ended up parking in the parking lot of Berkeley Bowl, which is a block or so away.
When we got inside the place, it was bigger than I expected, it looks small from the outside but don’t be fooled. As you walk in, there is a section of the toys that they have in the playrooms that you are able to purchase and take home with you, which was sort of off for me. We were greeted immediately and since it was our first time there, the staff took the time to explain to us everything as far as memberships go and showed us around. The place has cubicles and lockers to put your things in, you are required to take off your shoes so make sure you are OK being barefoot or bring an extra pair of socks.
The place had different rooms, infant crawler room, block room, ball pit room, reading room dance room, kitchen room, trampoline room and a swing room. The center room has a huge chalk wall and different tables with toys, crayons and paper and puzzles. Some rooms could have used a lot more toys inside or maybe they were just misplaced? Over all the place was clean, which I think has to do with no shoes allowed pass the gates. The play areas are closed off by gates that only parents can open so you don’t have to worry about having a kid get out of the play area. The bathrooms are also really clean. They are big in safety here and there is always a staff member around.
So would I be back? Yes we will. Overall a good price and they have a membership that you can purchase at a reasonable price to bring your kids back. I just wish parking was better or they had a private parking lot and better stocked rooms. Overall good place and I definitely recommend checking out — in my opinion I think this suites ages children infant to about 7 or 8, any older they won’t find it as fun.

This place is great. It’s $ 12.00 per child for open play. They have little store in the lobby. Then a huge space for art, puzzles, games, chalkboard. They have a dress up corner, infant room, Lego/​train room, ballroom, lunch room and quiet room. Now for the good stuff… two springless enclosed trampolines, climbing structure, 10 different swings, zip line, and mini workout equipment.
They are geared towards kindergartens, preschoolers and children with autism. (they have private therapy rooms). I had two three year olds that were totally entertained for 3 hours. The staff is very friendly.

I brought my 9 month old here for the grand opening. This place is huge! There are swings, trampolines, zip lines, and tons of other activities for kiddos. I would check out their website for more information. They can even host parties here.
Of course, I stuck mostly to the infant room with my baby but all of the older kids seemed to have a blast. I look forward to bringing him more after he gains some mobility :)

This place is fantastic!
We came in today to check out the new play space around.
One quick look around and I knew my kids would live here if they could.
There were different areas to explore and play: a gym (complete with swings and a zipline), arts and crafts, train/​lego room, trampolines, make believe/​dress up play, library, quiet room, ball pit, and MORE!
Price is $ 12/​child, $ 10/​each additional sibling. Or, you could buy the $ 50 for 5 visits pass.
Check their website for more information because they are brand spanking new and I don’t know all the details yet.
