I decided to go with Wicked Clever Designs because it was local in Berkeley and got good reviews on Unilocal.Although in the end it didn’t work out for me for my needs, Saill was responsive and fair. If you’re running a small business, and want a unique website, you should should be fine here.

Perfection!
I can finally breathe. I work at a Bay Area non-​profit and was given the task of overseeing a complete overhaul of our website. This included getting evaluations, putting out an RFP, and working with the designer to create the site of our dreams with the ability for me, a non-​tech person, to maintain it.
Enter Saill White of Wicked Clever Designs. I originally found Saill by reading many reviews of web designers on several sites. She gave us a complimentary audit of our existing site and her feedback adroitly articulated what we felt was lacking in the site. She submitted a complete, well-​thought out proposal that addressed issues we hadn’t even considered. Her bid was within our budget and we selected Saill’s proposal over about a dozen including one from a person known to do good work by one of my colleagues.
From the moment we had our first meeting I felt that we had selected the right person. Saill really is «Wicked Clever,» the name of her business. She is pleasant, creative, capable and she delivers.
She immediately «got» what our organization does and is about and created the perfect site for us. She listened to what we wanted and had that lead the process. The site is warm, welcoming and performs many functions. That Saill is a programmer in addition to being a web designer was key in her being able to rock our site. Saill took a chaotic site with too much information on it and transformed it into a well-​organized site of almost 30 pages that is simple to navigate.
She wrote code to create a complex calendaring and registration system that our previous site lacked. She made sense of another project that necessitated being able to collect funds for other classes and provide access to videos. She made the site usable for our clients, donors, prospective and current volunteers, helping professionals and the general public.
Saill created a WordPress site that I can easily maintain and has trained me and supported me through this process. She also customized all of the coding so that we are not dependent on the WordPress plug-​ins so any changes to those will not affect our website. At the beginning of this project I didn’t know that this was an important thing that could affect the functionality of part of the site at any point in the future.
It is an understatement to say that I was overwhelmed by everything involved in getting our site completely redone. Saill made this project a breeze. Every time a new issue came up Saill addressed it as an exciting challenge. She was responsive and delightful to work with. She delivered much more than promised.
As soon as I’m soloing with all the maintenance of my work site I’m going to hire Saill to redo my own website. Years ago I hired a professional to create my site and although it is beautiful she didn’t listen to the very first and most important thing I said and created it in a platform that I cannot access or update.
You know how when you find that PERFECT person you just want to tell everyone? Well, Saill White is definitely on my PERFECT list. I hope that you have the good fortune to be able to work with her.
