Zach’s Snacks

That crappy owner isn’t usually there. The people there are friendly.

The veg wrap is cheap and filling. The service is super quick. Nice place to go to if you need something healthy and inexpensive in a hurry.

Sorry guys, you had potential to have your own niche. But the food is boring and there is nothing unique. And hummingbird café across the street is a lot better. I got the tuna sandwich and the bread is so hard and meat w/​e. And macaroni salad was gross.

A good replacement for the inexpensive/​fast Northside sandwich shop.
I’m not sure what the deal is with this place. They are somewhat affiliated with Hummingbird and Hummingbird Express. My theory is that Hummingbird is where you go if you want a custom sandwich (or one of their Middle Eastern plates/​shakes), Hummingbird Express is for not customized sandwiches, and Zach’s Snacks… is…ummm…not customized sandwiches + snack items? Or maybe just if you’re too lazy to cross the street to Hummingbird?
I’m also not sure about the name… they sometimes flyer Northside, and on those flyers, the store is called «Zak’s Snacks». But the name on the store is «Zach’s Snacks». That’s how I spell my name, so let’s go with that.
Food: Generic sandwich. I had the tuna. Large quantity of tuna — good! Not much mixed in, so that’s ok because I’m pretty picky, although I would have been OK with some diced pickles. The bread was kinda tough. It did include a tomato slice and slice of pickle also.
Price: $ 4.99 for a sandwich, chips, and drink. Pretty ridiculous deal. Especially since a burger meal is like $ 6.50-$ 7 everywhere on Northside.
Service: Very friendly! When I was there, it was the girl who often flyers Northside. Glad she didn’t have to do that today in the rain. No complaints, very fast.
Overall, I’m adding Zach’s Snacks to my list of places to get sandwiches. I really miss Seven Palms for their cheap + customizable sandwich, but Zach’s Snacks is a reasonable (and cheaper!) substitute.
