Doggie In the Window, LLC

***DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE*** I wish I would have trusted my instinct about this place. From the day of my dog’s evaluation, I knew something was off. For starters, there are no cameras in the back, and when you enroll, you have to sign a waiver– BIG RED FLAG, people. I have absolutely nothing good to say about the owner of this place; she’s rude, pretentious, disingenuous, impersonal, incompetent and the list goes on. Likewise, I do not think the staff is qualified or equipped to deal with all dog breeds. I have a large, energetic breed, and I always felt like he was a bother to them. Another big red flag. Scheduling and dropping off is also annoying. The thing that did me in was when I picked my dog up after boarding him for 10 days. I went out of town on Christmas Eve and was forced to drop him off the morning of the 23^rd (their rule). I got back on the 1^st but couldn’t pick him up until the 2^nd (their rule). When I finally got my dog, he was EMACIATED. He literally looked like he had been living on the streets for a month. A random employee called me on the 29^th to simply tell me that the dog needed more food (which I had delivered). They never told me he had lost a significant amount of weight; never thought there may be something else wrong; never thought about calling a vet. I left my healthy, 80 lb. dog, and came home to a distraught, starving, sickly looking animal, weighing in at 68 lb. The day I picked him up, I was extremely upset and spent my whole day calling vets (mine was closed). Thank God I found one on a Saturday afternoon of a holiday weekend. I have not heard from this place since. And I will be looking into the legality of their waiver. If I were you, I would NOT take my dog here. These people are clueless, and the owner should be put out of business.

I love this place! I can vouch for both the training and daycare– currently doing both. Lisa, the dog trainer, is amazing and could not be more helpful in and out of class.
Before you start daycare, your dog must be approved– but I love that they go through the review process. Our dog has been to daycare a handful of times now, and each and every time he has fallen asleep in the car on the way home! You know what they say, a tired dog is a good dog. I can tell my dog has a great time at daycare and it sure helps me (late pickup until 9 is incredibly helpful as well). I definitely recommend getting your pup approved for daycare. Once that’s done, you can drop ‘em off in the morning (the process is super fast, right in and out) and do what you have to do all day long knowing they’re in great hands.

I made an appointment to have my dog taken in to see if he would get along with other dogs as he’s never gone to this kind of place. The owner Wendy called me and said that if he didn’t get along with the dogs that I would be turned away. I’ve been in business for a long time and I don’t consider this a good way to talk to a prospective customer. I mean I’m not a refugee fleeing to another country or joining some exclusive club but you wouldn’t know that by talking to this woman. You would think she would have enough business acumen to find better language to use to prospective customers. Maybe she was having a bad day, doesn’t need my business, or just generally has a bad attitude. There’s plenty of boarding around the neighborhood so I think I’ll go elsewhere.

Doggie in the Window is a great boarding facility. They have truly gone above and beyond where other facilities have failed. Namely, they have the proper amount of space (both indoor and outdoor) and have handlers who know what they’re doing.
I only have two gripes:
1. Pricing is weird for Sunday pickups, making it basically as cost-​effective to keep your dog there until 9pm on Monday.
2. During one boarding visit, I was met with the unpleasant surprise of having a premium tacked on to the normal boarding rate. DITW claimed that it was a «peak time». However, I was neither informed what that meant, nor that it would be applied when I made my boarding reservation.

My neighbor took there dog there last weekend. Their dog was severely hurt while in there care. The Vet said something like a door caught the dogs tail requiring 800.00 worth of vet bills… the dog is still in pretty bad shape .what got the my neighbor really upset was when they went to pick up there dog the staff never said anything had happened. It wasn’t until they got home that they realized something was terribly wrong…“doggy in the window” did give them a refund and has paid the vet bills. but the «high school staff «are not really qualified to handle situations like this. Their old manager had left the company
months ago along with 4 other staff. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone after the experience my neighbors had.

It’s like Disneyland for dogs… the happiest place on earth. We bring our six-​year old lab and our eight year old Chiweenie there often, for both daycare and boarding. It has helped them both socialize with other dogs. The lab recognizes the route there and starts «singing» half a mile before we get there. The staff is very caring and conscientious. They treat our dogs like they are their own.

I am in LOVE with these guys. They have gone out of their way to accommodate us a couple times and they love our pups so much. You can see the love they have for them and our pups come home smelling fresh and unable to keep their eyes open lol wouldn’t take our pups anywhere else from this day forward. Thank you for all that you do!

Cannot say enough wonderful things about DITW. It is so nice to know we can leave him for daycare or boarding and know that he’s having fun, getting a ton of love and playing in a safe and clean environment! Wendy and Todd have done an incredible job creating a business that truly puts the dogs first and treats them like they are one of their own. The staff are attentive and kind. The facility is dynamic. Our dog Jax jumps for joy when he sees DITW and literally drags me in the door! Thanks DITW for creating such an awesome place that sends my dog home happy, healthy and tired!

What an unbelievable place Doggie in the Window is!!! I just left there and witnessed non stop hard work by both the owners Todd and Wendy and the restoration team. The business was most definitely affected by the flood on Monday night. They are taking every precaution when cleaning and rebuilding to make sure it’s the cleanest and safest environment for all of their dogs, clients and staff. They are restoring it all and leaving no room for error! I have always felt more than comfortable leaving my dog with doggie in the window and this is yet another reason why. They always have the health and happiness of all their dogs as a priority. Thank you Doggie in the Window for all of the incredible work you do and for providing a safe and friendly environment for us all.

We did not like the old location as it seemed very crowded BUT they have moved and have a great new location just down the street from where they were. Have several big areas for the dogs including an outdoor area. Everything appears to be clean and did not detect any off putting smells.
They are very careful that the dogs are current on their shots, especially if have not been there for a while as was our case. Left our dog there for 2 over nights dropping off at 8am the first day and picked up at 10am 2 days later. They reported she was a pleasure to have around. Asked if she seemed to have one other dog she like especially and they said yes. This seems to be what our girl does, pick out a playmate and have a blast. Even though we did not have them give her a bath she smelled fine which makes me think they keep things clean. There is always someone with the dogs except at night if boarding. Do not see this as a big problem as they do not allow anything in with the dog during night time except for a pad. Some places allow toys in my experience to make it feel more like home they say.
When she was picked up she had a happy look on her face. Name is «Happy» which in her case was a great name to pick. When she got home she was quiet the rest of the day from playing the last two days just what I would expect.
So far a great experience. Everyone I have had contact with there have been very nice and wanting to be helpful and have us happy, just the way it should be.

We recently started bringing our pup Gunner here. He’s been in a handful of times for day care and did one overnight. The staff welcomes and remembers him by name everytime (even at the second visit). They literally know all these dogs names… kinda blows my mind! :) Anyways, the staff is great. These girls are so friendly and so passionate about taking care of your dog. I am still getting used to parting ways with my little boy for extended periods of time, but I really do trust them and know he is well taken care of. Very much looking forward to their new building! I checked out every competitor in the area before selecting DITW and I really believe they are the best! Check this place out– they are wonderful!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the staff at Doggie In The Window. I had to leave my 10 week old puppy with them for 5 days and when I returned to pick him up, he didn’t want to leave! They were able to get him to potty in the right spot with minimal accidents and let us know when he has to go! I was very nervous about having to leave him there, but he is definitely going back!

Doggie in the Window is the BEST! Our dog loves going to daycare a few days every week. Every time we drop him off or pick him up the staff treats our dog like their own. The staff is friendly, helpful, and kind. I don’t know what I would do without DITW!

Our dog Zoey loves Doggie in the Window!!! We take her there for day care as well as boarding.
The owners and staff at DITW are wonderful — friendly, knowledgeable, and most of all happy to be there! Zoey plays and plays and plays all day and is pooped when she comes home. I just picked her up from a weekend there and she is curled in a ball on the couch and sleeping. I know that they take excellent care of all of the dogs and cannot say enough good things. I feel so lucky that we have a place that we can trust to take Zoey when we will be out of town.

My dog, Riley, loves this place. Runs around in the car all excited as soon as he sees the building. Great staff and rates!

Wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else! They’re the best for day visits or overnight – either way she comes home tired. Appreciate the dogs get to run around and play during the day. Owners and staff are always incredibly kind and thoughtful – they know our pooch by name.
