I previously had an issue with the versa booth at this salon, but the owner was kind enough to refund my money. It seems that her other clients are not experiencing the same problem I was. The owner is very sweet and the salon is very clean.

AWFUL customer service! I cannot believe they allow this woman to work the front desk. Attitude from the moment I inquired about tanning. I would ABSOLUTELYNOT recommend going here! I just wanted some color to start the summer and am not an avid tanner.

I purchased a one month unlimited Gold tanning package specifically for my wedding and was sold on the fact that the sales girl told me it INCLUDED one free spray tan. We talked about how I could use this free spray tan at the end of my month since it was so close to my wedding date and how it would be perfect. She even showed me the booth and how it works during my tour. I felt comfortable with her and had been looking forward to and planning to use my spray tan a couple days before my wedding. And then just to confirm, I asked about a week before my wedding when I was in there tanning what was the last day possible I could use my free spray tan and a different sales girl(with long red hair) told me I could use it on the last day of the month of my membership. Ok confirmed. So, I went in there today to use since I leave for Jamaica on May 2. I was told from a third sales girl that I could NOT spray tan and that there is nothing she can do. And that she doesn’t know why those other coworkers of hers told me that I could have one free spray tan with my Gold membership because there should have been a CODE attached to my account for me to be able to use that. I explained to her how I was sold the membership and that it’s not my job to know what their codes are and how I had even confirmed just a few days ago that I could spray tan. She just kept telling me over and over again that there is NOTHING she could do and that she could not allow me to use their spray tanner. I asked for her to call a manager or owner and get this sorted out and she told me «my manager is off today». So you’re going to tell me that this business has people running it that have zero ability to problem solve, give customer service or reach ANY human that is above them in a management level when an issue needs to be escalated? What if the building was burning down? Would she not be able to reach a manager then? I told her I had been happy with my experience until encountering her and she kept rudely saying, there is nothing I can do without having the«code». And«I am not lying to you». She also kept telling me that she doesn’t know that I had those conversations with those other coworkers implying that I was lying. What a joke! Very rude, very disappointing and I will not be back. Your loss because due to this incident, you lost future business. Don’t false advertise on the front end. And don’t treat your customers like trash and not honor your commitments by expecting your customers to know that a code should be attached to their account in order to use their services!

If you want good customer service go elsewhere. Staff is rude. I wish there was another option for tanning closer but seems like this is the only one in my area.

Shady business plan! I reluctantly decided to use a tanning bed to get some base color before a beach vacation. I chose Zip Tanz because of the convenient location and $ 9.99 for a month of unlimited tanning. I told the front desk person working that I would like to do the $ 9.99 for the«bronze» bed and she attempted to pressure me into a $ 29.99 «gold» membership. She said the bronze beds do not give you color and are only good if you already have a tan and want to maintain color. I declined and signed up for the bronze for $ 9.99. I have been five times for 6 – 8 minutes each time, and I have noticeable tan lines. So yes, the bronze beds will give you color. My first auto payment posted and it was $ 10.99 instead of the $ 9.99 in my contract. I asked the front desk person about the error and she told me it was sales tax. Berkley sales tax is 6%, which would be $ 10.59. It simply doesn’t add up. Further, this is the first time I’ve seen«sales tax» on a membership. The price I sign up for is the price I pay for gyms, Netflix, and other monthly memberships. I’m not concerned about one dollar but I am concerned about the shady tactic.

I go here for the $ 39.99 unlimited Versa Spa sessions per month.(Where I used to go [Total Tan SCS] charged $ 35 for ONE session so this is pretty amazing to me) I always liked coming here because the staff is EXCELLENT in both this and the Clawson location. Tanning reps are usually snotty, lazy, and rude but NOT here. They give you a «free skincare» item when you sign up for their packages, only you couldn’t pay me to put it on my skin. I googled the brand/name of it and nothing came up. Pretty sure someone just gets these made on the cheap and tries to make it come off as some extra incentive. Whatever works I guess! The machines work great and I will continue going here each month year round. The only thing that almost lost my recurring business was last month my debit card was stolen on the 1st and it had to be shut off immediately. It took over a week for my new one to come in the mail so I couldn’t go tanning the week it was out. Once I got my new one I went right to Zip Tanz to reactivate my account/explain and they actually made me pay the full amount for the month even though it was not my fault my card had to be cancelled and there was less than 3 weeks left for the month. Bad business if you ask me, but I will continue to go here because I don’t think anything better will come around any time soon!

I would not give this place a star if it was an option! Staff is EXTREMELYRUDE… They don’t want to talk to you or help with any information about their packages or tanning booths. if there is another place you could tan at I suggest skipping this place!
