Since this is a local restaurant/bar we really wanted to support it… Our first experience about six months ago was really good. So I brought family members one evening. The bar tender/waitress was great considering they had her doing double duty. The food was sub par The Philly steak sandwiches which had been very good in the past were overlooked and more like jerky. Also one of the sandwiches was loaded with burnt meat while the other had scraps, as if the cook realized after assembling the sandwich the order was for two not one. The fries were soggy. I mean soggy. Like if you picked one up it was doing an imitation of a wet noodle. We told the waitress and she had the owner come over. They removed one sandwich from the menu and apologized for the fries. Suckers for punishment we went back. Chicken Caesar salad. Someone forgot the chicken! They were out of wings and sweet potato fries. Which they claim to make from scratch. Pretty sure they have sweet potatoes at stop and shop down the street. My philly steak was again disappointing. I was just hoping it was a fluke and that I’d get an order like the first time. Soggy fries again. Told the owner about it.(Wife this time). She apologized, the excuse being they are all made to order… Lol. Yesssss that’s WHY they should be fresh and crispy! Don’t think we will be back unless we hear things have changed.

Nice to see a small, local joint open up and succeed. We typically go on weekends during busy hours and have never had a complaint! We sit at the bar where there are two bartenders(both taking care of you). The owner sometimes pops out of the kitchen to check on things and is a nice guy that will chat for a bit before having to run back to the kitchen. This place is very clean, great service, and good food. Not your typical bar menu either! I personally enjoyed their pulled pork sliders! They also just started karaōke on Saturday nights– I haven’t been yet but hope to check it out soon!

Good beer but slow service and food fair at best. Went there recently with some friends before going to movie. Took ½ an hour to get our food making us late for movie. Ordered cheeseburger medium rare and came medium/well done. Also, cheese was added to burger after it was cooked — not melted at all. Should have sent it back but we were already late for movie. Look of menu cheap and they should add a Rueben sandwich to it too. Nice place but wish food was better. May just stick with the brew next time.

The food is good. Unfortunately they can’t time the food well. Been here twice and the first time we got our entrees in shifts and our appetizers last. Second time our party of eight got served our meals every 5 minutes. If they get the timing right it would be awesome.

Great food and service. The renovations are very nice. Definitely an improvement from the previous owners. The only thing about this place that drives me crazy… the lighting. It’s always SOBRIGHT inside. Dim the lights… especially at night. I’ve heard others make the same complaint…

We have been to this sports bar/restaurant several times. The food is excellent from apps to entrees. The atmosphere is inviting and clean. The service is good. I would have given 4 stars, but the music during dinner hour is full blast. The music was so loud that it was difficult to hear any conversation at the table. Perhaps, the owners will take this suggestion into consideration, to turn the music down a notch during dinner hours.

My husband and I went on Friday night looking for a couple drinks and apps. We are in search of a local place that can provide a good menu and good drink selection. The drinks were good not great but the food was way below par. We ordered the pretzels and nachos with pulled pork. The pretzels were definitely frozen and just reheated and served with honey mustard and cheese whiz. The nachos, while a gigantic serving, were tasteless chips, cheese whiz(Really? Is it so hard to melt real cheese?), basil(yes, basil on nachos), and the slimiest pulled pork I’ve ever had. The service was mediocre at best. We were sitting at the bar and were not checked in on at all. It took forever to get our check and once we did, she pretty much forgot about us. We were going to pay using a credit card but it took so long that we used cash and left. So sad that I really thought this place had potential with all the changes. We won’t be back any time soon and we are praying that a decent restaurant(not a chain or pizza place) comes into Berlin soon.

Was looking for a place for my daughter and I to grab a quick bit out this evening We walked in on a meeting of local business owners so was quite busy for a few minutes before 6 on a Wednesday night took a few minutes for the waitress to realize that we were there but once this was remedied we were promptly taken care of The beer selection was the usual suspects but I did manage to find a two roads double IPA on draft my daughter a lemonade Now I like to try interesting food when and where I can tonight was not really one of Those nights tonight I opted for a Philly cheesesteak And my daughter the pretzel crusted crab cake … Oh might I add she’s 5&1 – 2 My philly was unbelievable it was not a traditional with the processed cheese but tasty none the less a side of onion rings rounded my meal The crab cakes on the other hand I had mixed feeling on the outside coating was excellent but the inside tasted very good but was not my favorite texture wise our waitress was very attentive the food came out nice and hot and not long ticket time either she was very accommodating as since the little one didn’t overly care for the dish we ordered some tarter sauce and were promptly taken care of I will go back again but I don’t know that I will order or really recommend the crab cake to other people

We stopped in here one night for dinner. The inside has been completely redone and is bright and friendly. The food is great. I had the Mac and cheese and my husband had a wrap. This is a very local gathering place. The parking is a bit difficult but you can park along the street. We will definitely go back, I really want to try the pulled pork.

I went here with my boyfriend a few weeks ago for the brunch buffet. We really enjoyed the food and along with the buffet came complimentary mamosas or bloody Mary’s. The first drink is free and then they are only 1 dollar after that. Definitely a good deal for unlimited food.

Being here for lunch on a Thursday, I will give the service level a pass. The bartender was the only staff member present on the floor, so she was responsible for the entire restaurant. Understandable — it’s Berlin, not West Hartford. The revamp of the old«Center Station Pub and Grill» is quite nice. Still blue collar in nature, but much more modern and fun. Two dartboards, a pool table, some nice HDTVs at the bar and around the restaurant. It’s too bad the location is so hidden — I just hope more people find out about it to complete the social scene. The food was REAL good. I had the Cajun chicken bacon wrap and devoured it like a horse. Lots of options for sides — french fries, sweet potato fries, side salad, and my choice, the kettle chips. They were seasoned too. My lunchmate had a tomato basil bisque that was actually quite excellent as well. Berlin’s been waiting for a professionally run downtown pub. I certainly hope this is it!

Stopped in this evening with no expectations just curiosity. My husband and I had a date night and stumbled into this upbeat. Alot of potential and growing downtown berlin into a classy and relaxing inviting .We ordered the hot wings as well as nachos. Nachos was out of this world! Wings were good just a little overdone. We had cocktails such as husband had white russian and I had blue moon this was very good. Staff is friendly ! Will be back.

Welcome 2015!!! Sunday Brunch here is amazing! Nicely done. Great turnout for the first Sunday of the year. Food was fabulous. Made to order waffles, blueberry pancakes, Eggs Benedict, sausage, perfectly cooked bacon, scrambled eggs, fruit and the most well seasoned skillet potatoes, ever! We will be back, soon!

Our company’s Holiday Party is always held in Berlin and we usually continue the festivities afterwards at a local bar. So this year we decided to try this place out(recommended by a coworker) for a few drinks. I was informed this use to be another business and they underwent renovations. First impression very nice décor, small establishment but spacious seating areas, tvs, small pool table and a jukebox. The staff(2 girls at the bar) were very friendly and gave us happy hour prices for our drinks before happy hour even started. Myself and a few other coworkers ordered food as the night progressed. Honey chicken tenders, loaded skins, sliders, french fries and buffalo chicken tenders. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The tenders were perfect and very tasty(buffalo ones a bit too spicy), sliders were to die for. Cooked just right and the perfect size. Overall we were pleased and impressed with the food. The chef came out to check on us and asked if we were enjoying our meal, which I thought was a nice gesture. Overall I enjoyed myself and if I’m in the area again I would return for both food and drinks.
