What a great little restaurant in a nice location! The salads(and homemade dressings) were amazing and the shrimp fricassee appetizer special was delicious. The blackened catfish was also tasty. Everything was fresh and yummy, and it’s perfect that it shares the space with the bar with fun martinis. We will definitely be back because I want to try everything else on the menu! Hope this place sticks around!

Wow! Great atmosphere, excellent service, great food. What more can you ask for? Our group of six was seated promptly and our waitress was right there to take drink orders explain the menu and specials to us. She was very familiar with the menu and made some great recommendations. We ordered the blackened catfish, pan sauteed rainbow trout, black bean cakes and the smoked beef brisket; all fresh and delicious. The one item that everyone loved were the sauteed green beans with portabella mushrooms! Oh man, how do you get excited by veggies, but they were great! Fantastic pop-up restaurant! Absolute guarantee we will be back!

Was soo excited to hear that this was opening up around the corner from us. Went for dinner and it was delicious. I had the blackened catfish(yum!) with green beans, so good! Love that you can get a martini with your meal. Keeping my fingers crossed that this«pop up» stays here for a long time and that they eventually start serving breakfast/brunch!

My husband and I came here twice within a week, we loved it so much! The service was fantastic both times. I had brisket the 1st time I went, which wasn’t all that great, but their Asheville Salad & hush puppies were our of this world. My husband had a Cajun jambalaya dish which he loved. For dessert we had a key lime pie and bread pudding. OMG the bread pudding. I wanna marry it. Everything tasted fresh. Can’t wait to go back and try something else!

What a great restaurant for the Depot District! We went in on a Wednesday evening, with our baby in tow, and really enjoyed our dinner. Family friendly, food was fantastic(even though they were out of the two things I wanted… hence 4 stars), and we will definitely be back. I was surprised that it was as quiet as it was for 7 pm. Come on Berwyn — if we want to have these great restaurants, we have to support and dine there. If you haven’t tried it, you should.

My wife has been dying to go here since this pop-up Wishbone branch opened up in the former restaurant space at Olive or Twist(reviewed separately). I admit, i was prepared to hate it. I’ve had mixed feelings about Wishbone in the past. But I’m pleased to say I was pleasantly surprised this time around. The new Wishbone Berwyn location shares its space with Olive or Twist, and you can order cocktails from the bar. It’s a nice marriage of concepts that works really well. And it’s so nice in the dead of winter to be able to grab your coat and wander to the bar 15 feet away for after-dinner drinks. We found the service at this Wishbone to be friendly and attentive. The menu is small and simple, but there are no duds here. There’s also a nice selection of daily specials. Food quality was very good. Pleasantly relieved to find one of the few places in Chicago area that doesn’t murder their smoked brisket beyond recognition. The vegetable sides were original and delicious. We had both the mashed rutabaga and the rutabaga and brussels sprouts(perfectly cooked) and the sauteed spinach(bursting with tangy flavor). The cheddar cheese bread at the table was a nice comfort. The blackened catfish here appears to be actually blackened.(Handlebar is the only other restaurant in the Chicago area that understands what«blackened» really means.) But i didn’t order it because the waiter warned me that they don’t use very much cayenne in the seasoning mix. I may still try it next time. Bonus points for both the barbecue sauce and horseradish sauce that came with my brisket. Very good quality on both.(I used the horseradish sauce on my brussels sprouts.) We didn’t get desert because what’s the point? Yummy chocolate cocktails are just steps away at Olive or Twist. Note: Some of have complained about this location not offering brunch. Personally, I found brunch to be my LEAST favorite meal at the other Wishbone locations. But if this location eventually offers brunch, I’ll give it one more chance and update my review.

I was so excited when I heard Wishbone would be opening at the Olive or Twist. Went in for dinner with my husband. We were seted promptly and greeted by a friendly server who was quick to fetch our drinks and cornbread. The cornbread, as I have come to expect at Wishbone, was delicious. We had some hush puppies for an appetizer. So tasty and a bit of a spicy bite to them. Husband ordered the spicy and altogether delicious shrimp gumbo. I ordered the beef brisket wih horseradish and brussel sprouts. So delicious. Not easy to get such a lean but still tender brisket. We ordered the key lime pie for dessert. It was fabulous. Just the right balance between sweet and tart. The décor is understated and classy. Everything was clean and everyone friendly. We will definitely be coming back!

SO happy to have Wishbone back in Berwyn. Wishbone has always been my favorite restaurant. Black bean cakes to die for and their lemon tahini salad dressing is heaven! The food was great and I’m looking forward to them starting the brunches again. They also said they are working on their children’s menu.

Had dinner tonight at the new Wishbone in Berwyn’s Depot District. Cute and cozy restaurant attached to the martini bar Olive or Twist. I had the BBQ brisket with a side of creamy horseradish sauce and coleslaw, it came with a side of home fries. The brisket was really good, nice and lean but juicy. Loved their house BBQ. My wife had a delicious burger with fries on soft pretzel roll. For dessert we tried the bread pudding and keylime pie, I would order both again. So glad to have Wishbone here in the hood, I will be back often. Oh, and the bill came in at under $ 40 with tip!

Wishbone is my favorite restaurant in Chicago and now it is my favorite restaurant in Berwyn. My family and I had a wonderful experience(food and service) the week of the restaurant’s opening. We will be back at least once a week! One thing to note, the Wishbone Berwyn menu does not list desserts online, but they DO have all the classic Wishbone desserts, including their famous bread pudding! I am so pleased Wishbone is back in Berwyn and especially glad it’s in our Depot District market spot.
