Wok N Roll is one of those crazy little places that has been my favorite takeout Chinese place since half-past forever. They used to have multiple locations, but I think all but this one have since closed. And since we don’t live in the area any longer, it’s a bit of a hike to get back here. But it’s worth the drive. The food is fresh and hot and waiting for you when you arrive. They offer free items when you meet minimum purchase requirements — we got a free order of crab rangoon with our order this time. Service is also very friendly and polite. Everything is tasty. Our favorite items are the Mongolian beef, chow fun and lo mein, but it’s worth exploring the menu and trying different things to find your own favorites. I may not get to enjoy the food as often as I’d like, but I will always come back to it again and again.

horrible customer service and attitude this place acts as if they are doing you the favor. Walked in there today to pick up some dinner before heading home as I was in the chase bank next door so wanted something fast I clearly was pointing at the house special part of the menu when ordering a general Tao chicken and asked the lady to make the rice chicken fried rice spicy which I had ordered the same exact order about 3 weeks prior and she clearly understood what I wanted well apparently not today she tells me my total is 17 and some change as I handed her my card I asked why it was so much well she apparently charge each item individually well if that the case aren’t you suppose to ask the customer what size each item will be sm md or lrg which she did not so I said no I want the lunch special. This lady lost it next time tell me what you want say lunch special with this attitude as if her business is golden lady this food is average at best it’s basic Chinese food if that so don’t act like a 5 star place cause you are not I said you know what please cancel everything I’ll take my business else where and left never will I come back here good luck in the future treating customers that way.

I am surprised that this joint still exists! We ordered from them food few times and every time I swore that it was the last time. All the dishes taste the same! But I kept stopping by as it was on my way from work thus convenient. However recently I was just getting egg rolls and crab rangoons as it’s hard to screw them up, one would think! Well my last order is THELAST! Cook reheated already cooked egg rolls. I saw him doing it but didn’t realized that it was my order. Discovered that at home. They were not edible. I called a manager. He was rude and wouldn’t even apologize. He wanted me to bring the product back the same evening for refund! Really?!

First time visitor here and I ordered the Mongolian Beef Dinner thinking that they would fill the plate with enough meat like Wandas Kitchen in Berwyn does but received almost all fried onions and only a handful of meat. Not going here ever again, I’ll visit Nono’s Pizza next door to them

Average Chinese food at best… fast and cheap though. The fried rice was good but there was something really off about the sweet n sour sauce for the sweet n sour chicken… I wouldn’t order it again. Definitely not a busy place it was dead when I went in and they didn’t even need to take my name for my carry out order… not a good sign. I will probably try other places before I try this again.

The food is always good and reliable. They keep great records. When given my phone number they pulled up and remembered I had a mushroom allergy. THAT“S HUGE!

This is my go to Chinese Restaurant in Berwyn. The food is always good and ready when they say it is. I usually order a small order of egg-drop soup and a small beef fried rice. The portions for small are sized really good. So much so, that I can make one order two dinners for two nights. The pricing is reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area. Other food items that are good that I have tried include: Beef and Broccoli, Beef in Oyster Sauce, Chicken and Broccoli, Egg Foo Young(both chicken and beef) and the Chicken Wings(they have that tempura mix on it which makes it extra crispy). I have to say, everytime I order here it is a good experience. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family visiting Berwyn. Keep in mind, this is more of a Take Out Place then a Sit Down Restaurant(small sitting area).

Our first Chinese take out in our new neighborhood. It was very good. The portions are huge, even the small orders. We asked them to make Szechuan green beans and they did cooked just right. For $ 25.00 we got 4 eggrolls(2 free) large mu shu pork, beans, broccoli pork. We have enough for at least another meal. I recommend it a lot. It will be our go to take out Chinese.

Love this place. I ordered delivery on one of those lazy, rainy, weekday afternoons and the food and delivery time was spot on. I would not regret recommending this place to my friends for its tasty entrees, lunch specials, and courteous staff! Definitely will make this my frequent stop for Chinese~

Fantastic! I grew up on real Chinese food just outside NYC. Restaurants that didn’t serve bread or have knives on the table – that’s the first test. Wok n Roll Express is real Chinese! Egg rolls are crispy and well-stuffed. Pot stickers are among the best I’ve ever had. Egg Foo Yung pancakes are perfectly sized and covered with excellent gravy, though I would prefer more steamed rice with my order. Pork fried rice had nice chunks of lean pork and was not too salty. Prices are great and delivery is speedy. I can’t wait to order again… Oh I think I’ll do it now!

We have ordered food from them for years… Last night will be the last time… They shorted my order, then I called them up and they told me they can’t do nothing about it… What???

I really like this place. I LOOOVE chicken rice and gravy. Sounds crazy but its like the beef rice and gravy only with chicken. Many places get confused when i ask for it and dont want to substitute. Wok and Roll had no problem. The person on the phone was very nice and helpful. I will be sticking with Wok N Roll. their great!

I am beginning to think there is no longer GOOD Chinese food out there. I ordered a variety of items. all of it was fair including the egg rolls. Service was friendly and quick, but I just wish the food was better.

Ok, so I know my previous review was kind of «iffy.» So I’ve given them several second chances… and they have passed each one. I don’t have much else to say other than the strange flavor I was tasting when I wrote my initial review likely was just some slight overdone-ness. I’m far from being an expert in Chinese food, let alone what qualifies as good take-out, but I know what I like and with the exception of that one time, it has delivered. The chicken is prepared differently than at other restaurants I’ve ordered from, but it is still good. There’s almost something like a light brothy glaze on it.

As the name says express, however it takes more then that to keep people coming back, the food is good here. Portions are huge, so plan accordingly or you’ll be eating Chinese food for days. The other thing to note is their food isn’t swimming in sauce, just the right amount. They use good chicken and beef, the chicken is primarily white meat and the beef isn’t gummy with fat. Perhaps that’s why they don’t hide it with sauce, it’s not mystery meat. Simply put, the place is clean, staff is friendly, good food and portions, priced right. Of course I’ll keep coming back.

A friend recommended this place and I am glad she did. Another good place to eat in Berrrrr-wyn!(and Berwyn needs more) Very basic, nothing fancy, served with paper plates, and I don’t care. The food was good and that’s all that matters. Bonus! the lunch special was so huge, I had plenty to take home– and I don’t eat like a little bird.

Husband and I just moved to Berwyn a few days ago and were craving chinese and a night-in. On my way home, I called to place an order and five minutes later was there. Another 5 minutes later the food was ready! If your order is over $ 15 you get free egg rolls. If it’s over$ 25, free crab rangoon. The food isn’t bad at all. The sesame chicken was a tiny bit too sweet but the crab rangoon was great. I’m not sure if there’s actual crab in there, but the enormous amount of cream cheese won me over. The egg rolls are large and are stuffed with cabbage and other things I couldn’t taste. The portions are large and you can reuse their plastic containers time after time.
