Veeeeeerrry sweet. I took a bite of my cookies n cream and had sugar shock. It had a nice creamy texture though. I like that you can take ice cream home in various sizes of containers. I also like that they have gelato so I’ll be trying that next time. Nice homemade creamery to stop in while you’re strolling along the boardwalk.

This is a great ice cream shop on the Bethany Beach Boardwalk. The girls here are very nice and friendly. So many different flavors on their menu from pistachio to rocky road. A kiddie sized cone cost me $ 3.50, a bit pricy, but it was a large scoop. If ice cream isn’t your thing, they offer gelato, slices of key lime pie, coffees, lattes, even smoothies. I enjoyed my chocolate brownie sugar cone. It was a cool sweet ending to a great day in Bethany.

If you’re looking for high quality hand scooped ice cream on the boardwalk in Bethany Beach, then this is your place! Great selection of flavors and friendly customer service! If you prefer soft serve, there is a Khor Bros about 50 steps away.

When we approached the store, the line was 5 feet out of the door. We decided to give it a shot, and I thought it was pretty good but not extraordinary. I had the pomegranate blueberry chunk and peanut butter. Enjoyable, but not necessary to come back.

OMG, this is by far the Best Ice Cream you will ever eat anywhere any day! If you don’t go here while in Bethany Beach you have missed an opportunity of a life time to enjoy the best ice cream and sit down in air conditioning too. Go here before you go home, it’s better than any other ice cream shop around including Bonkies!!!

Maureen’s is such a great place to grab a coffee, smoothie, or ice cream. Their smoothies are the best out of all the smoothies I’ve ever had! The service is very friendly which keeps me coming back all the time!

Excellent ice cream, though not homemade(they buy it from various premium vendors in the Philly area, I was told). A little pricey(they take credit cards) and the lines are long at night. Good selection of flavors(our group especially enjoyed the red velvet, chocolate fudge brownie and graham slam). Enjoyed it but wasn’t compelled to go back.

Typically ice cream shops by a beach are pretty standard. Kohr Bros comes to mind. But Maureen’s, this place is on the next level. The ice cream flavors are more inventive than you run-of-the-mill beach ice cream shack. I got a scoop of some sort of graham flavored ice cream. It was like a giant scoop of frozen graham cracker awesomeness. I also got a scoop of the salted pretzel ice cream. The combination is quite nice. I’d suggest it.

This place has maybe the best Italian ice I have ever had. In 100 degree heat — we were outside for almost 20 minutes and this stuff didn’t melt. Tasted absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

If you’re looking for scooped ice cream at the boardwalk, this is a good place for it. Most of the ice cream places around Bethany Beach seem to be serving Jack and Jill brand ice cream, which is pretty ho-hum. Maureen’s offers better quality ice cream for about the same price($ 5.25 for a waffle cone single scoop). They have a decent selection of flavors, as well as gelato and coffee.

Great ice cream! It is reasonably priced compared to Khor’s custard. Plus, they have a lot more flavors and the staff was extremely friendly!

Solid local beach ice cream spot. I’ve had many flavors here and all are good. Usually sweet girls behind the counter happy to help! And Milky Way ice cream… yum

So disappointed. Walked in 2 mins after closing time. The door was unlocked and was turned away. People after me were treated so rude as well despite the fact door was open and people wanted ice cream. Got the impression my business did not concern them. Can’t believe how rude. Don’t care what ice cream is like you, don’t treat people that way!

Okay, so here goes. We went the weekend after Labor Day, and got some ice cream a little before noon. The place was empty, just me, my wife and our kids. We came here because it was the highest rated place for hand dipped ice cream. So there are two things: service and product. An older woman helped us, I presume she was the manager and/or owner(based on conversation I overheard). Bottom line, She wasn’t friendly. It felt like we were a bother to her, and our request to sample some flavors was apparently the biggest bother to her day… sorry? So that sucks, but at least we’ll get delicious ice cream. Well, she messed up my order, which was okay because I was torn between 3 flavors and at least she mixed up between those(I got a ½ and ½ scoop cone). It bothers me more because she was unpleasant. But here’s a fun fact about the ice cream: THEYDON’T MAKEIT! It comes from 5 different manufacturers, to include big names like ‘Turkey Hill’. So that’s not special, at all. Ultimately ice cream is ice cream, and ANY ice cream is delicious. so they get 2 stars. But if you’re looking for something special in Bethany Beach… skip it.

Delish fresh ice crean served with a smile! Always a long line, but well worth the wait. Also have gelati, cupcakes, chocolate mousse, PB bombs, and coffee.

To quote my 2 year old daughter — yummy yummy yummy!!! The ice cream is delicious and fresh. My girls had cones with chocolate and vanilla ice cream. We shared the Brownie a la mode with birthday cake ice cream and cookie dough ice cream topped with fresh whipped cream. I also had a nice cup of coffee. My only complaints are the limited amount of seating and our cookie dough ice cream didn’t have any cookie dough in it. As a former employee of Carvel, I know that not all scoops have the same amount of «ingredients.» That being said Maureen’s was great!

Literally steps away from the waterfront/beach this place is a gem. Friendly staff, large scoops, great ice cream, nice selection of flavors, not too pricy and they accept credit(which is hit or miss with the other shops). They also have other desserts! After testing a few flavors I couldn’t decide between the Peach and the Salted Caramel Chocolate Pretzel. They graciously gave me a «split scoop» which seemed like 2 scoops to me! Highly recommend this spot. I almost went back for another scoop within the hour but wanted to save room for lunch.
