I also had the misfortune of needing a funeral home but was very pleased with the service, courtesy, and professionalism provided by this establishment.
The entire staff was accomodating. The Funeral Director (a soft spoken woman) in particular was very empathetic, helpful and patient during the exchance of information. They handled as much as they could on their end to make it easier for us.
During the day of the funeral, they provided water and bagels for all of us. It was a nice little added touch. They really thought of everything to make us feel at ease.

I had the misfortune of requiring the services of this funeral home a month ago. I was VERY pleased by the service, courtesy, and professionalism I was given. From the multiple viewings, to the church service, to the burial service, we were given the utmost respect, accomodation, and assistance every step of the way. The Funeral Director went out of his way more often during the services offered then other funeral home services I have experienced (out of state funeral homes, etc).
They have made a clear difference and were a bit of optimism and good fortune at a time when needed the most. Thank you very much, Chapey & Sons!

Funeral home.
We (my family) have been using Chapey for a few years now as some of the older family members depart.
As funeral homes go, this place always seems to do a great job. Professional, courteous and plenty of help on hand make a particularly stressful time less of a hassle.
The only thing they could possibly do better is offer more parking — the lot always seems to be full — but I guess that depends on the popularity of the dearly departed.

…I’m reviewing a funeral home on Unilocal.I’m a nerd, okay? And the little rating-​explanations that Unilocal puts in there: «YAY! I’m a fan!» «Woohoo! As good as it gets»…they just don’t make sense in this context.
All that said… my family’s used this funeral home three times now — it’s become «our place», and every time, the staff here have just been absolutely top-​notch. Very professional, very accomodating, and they really make a difficult time easier in every way that they can.
Unlike most ot the restaurant reviews I do where I say things like «I crave this every once in a while» or whatnot… I don’t quite feel that way here.
But still, credit where it’s due.
