They burnt the crust on their taco pizza twice & for a medium one for $ 17.00 we weren’t too pleased.

I love this place. The brunch buffet is awesome. It is a unique style of pizza so I can see why people wouldn’t like it, but anyone I have brought here from out of town loves it. Taco pizza and BLT pizza is amazing. Great place!!!

So, this place is like a Midwestern Chuck E. Cheese. The taco pizza is gross but apparently nostalgic for a lot of people. My suggestion, have dinner somewhere else and then get Happy Joe’s cinnamon dessert pizza delivered.

We visited this location for the first time. We often visit the Quad Cities and we typically go to the Happy Joes location in LeClaire. But, we went to this location this time because it was close to our hotel and the weather was bad. One thing I noticed is this location doesn’t have the mini-arcade like the LeClaire location does. However, this location has a yogurt station that dispenses different flavors of frozen yogurt. This is a nice location with great service.

We lived Bettendorf many years ago and loved Happy Joes. My daughter grew up here and is now 29. She has moved away too and lives on the west coast. She has the best memories of birthday parties here and putting a quarter in the slot to watch the train run the rail around the ceiling. It wasn’t a cookie cutter pizza place, it was Happy Joe’s, the best pan pizza and ice cream too. We recently came back for a visit, and were so sad to see it had changed. Yes, 15 years had gone by. The pizza was still the best pan anywhere, but the train was gone and the store remodeled I guess awhile back, to look like any other chain restaurant. Gone was the quaint pizza parlor charm. BRINGBACKTHETRAIN! Children crave that cute little train. Maybe if we all start writing about it here, someone in Happy Joe’s management will remember visiting Bettendorf when they were a kid too. How it brought smiles to so many young bright eyed children. I give four stars because the pizza is still the best on earth.

Rule #1 Never go to the QC area without getting Happy Joes! Rule #2 Never go to the QC area without getting Happy Joes! … Surely you’re catching my drift…

Over $ 20 for an average pizza??? I don’t get it. Coming from the East Coast, sure I did not expect to find the best pizza in the QC area, but I at least expected to find a decent pie. Everyone recommended Happy Joes for the«best pizza in the QC area». I truly feel sorry for the QC if this is the best you have to offer. Not a horrible pizza, but I would at best say it’s average, but when you couple that with an expensive price tag(sorry people… but if you’re paying more than $ 20 for a pizza it’s expensive). Even in Boston I could get a really good pizzeria pizza for $ 15.

Happy Joe’s pizza is amazing and even though I don’t live in the QC anymore, I always have to have it when I come back to visit. Taco, BBQ, and BLT are particularly great. But, the thing that makes this particular Happy Joe’s stand out from the others is that this one has by far the best lunch buffet. It always has taco pizza, there are yummy desserts, and free drink refills. Much better than the Davenport locations!

Happy Joes has some great pizza. The Taco pizza is definitely the best! only bad thing is they are kinda expensive, but if you’re looking for a treat this is the place to go!

Happy Joe’s has become a Midwestern Chain restaurant, but it started right here! I’ll always remember Happy Joe’s as the fun local place that many of my friends held their first job. The place to go for AWESOME taco pizza, root beer floats, and ice cream. At one time, it was one of the only restaurants in Bettendorf. Great place for a kids birthday party. VERY reasonable.
