I rented a car to take from LA to SF one way. We went over car, marked all the places there was pre-​existing damage.
Drove car to SF
They made me fill out accident report. Wrote under duress all over it as they were claiming they would call the police if I didn’t fill it out and sign.
They said that if the damages matched up from how it came from LA I wouldnt need to worry about it.
I am worried about it. Debt collectors are after me now — didnt even get a chance to show Avis the report /​pictures. /​state my case.
I have reached out to Avis Corporate… This really puts a bad taste in my mouth considering I am 26, been driving for 10 years. Just reached the age that I can rent cars… Never had an at fault accident. and then this.
Shame on Avis.
