The tailor there knows her stuff. I got a suit there and it had a decent fit but my body type is so awkward(broad shoulders, long/thin torso) so she tapered my back to shape it. I also asked to thin the arms because i didn’t want it to look so bulky. She pinned everything down and we decided that the original was better and I felt bad at first but she was so cool about it, it really made me feel at ease while I went on with the tailoring process. she knows her stuff and the jacket turned out great. I haven’t received my pants yet, but i’m assuming it’ll be good as well. don’t be afraid to get stuff tailored here, she’s good!

YES, one of my favorite premium designer brand, the style is very young, the size runs small, fits me perfectly. I like their T-Shirts, tanks and denims, I buy things that I can wear forever, that goes with my other outfits, its a very good investment in clothing for me :)

When it comes to high-end boutiques, the one thing that matters to me the most is the service. D&G isn’t exactly«high-end», but not everybody can plop down $ 600 for a dress, so D&G is in the highER-end arena. I had completely forgotten that this was the new flagship store – there is a D&G store in South Coast as well as one in the Beverly Center. Luckily I had some time to explore this ginormous store after my trip to Stella McCartney. Upon entering I was immediately greeted by a good-looking young man in a perfectly fitted button-up shirt and vest – your standard Dolce & Gabbana fare. He took some time to explain some of the merchandise, and even complimented my crazy ensemble. His fellow salesman came over to comment on my wacky nylons too. After that ego boost, he then proceeded to give me some background on the store concept – and this store has only been open for 3 weeks! He gave me many suggestions on what would look good on me, with my very short hair and all. This young man(his name was Justin) definitely knew how to match clothing and paid attention to all the minute details in the merchandise. Management did well to hire mostly young men, though they were experienced and knew the merchandise. They also liked the merchandise and were quite passionate about it – that actually could change your entire retail experience. There were a lot of womens’ items. The entire first floor was womens’ clothing and accessories. A half-step up, there was another group of womens’ clothing along the corridor, brought together in the center by glass tables of accessories. Making a right after the corridor, you would find the mens’ collections, which were also very extensive. I truly love D&G’s mens’ clothing. Depending on how you wear your D&G pieces, you could be very flamboyant or appear very polished. The construction of D&G’s items is almost impeccable. Always worthwhile to stock up a few D&G pieces when there is a sale. With these higher-end boutiques, the fit is usually better – I can speak for D&G merchandise – their clothes always fit me, and all of their items are exquisite. As Justin said, «there’s no filler items in the store” – true, as I also commented to him on how impressed I was w/the store merchandising. I am an extremely particular shopper, and I would usually not buy an «accompanying jacket» or «the shoe that would go perfectly with that dress», but looking at how each collection was displayed, it would be difficult to walk away with just a dress, and then realizing that the jacket placed behind it would be the best one for it. 1 star for the merchandising. The store itself is so beautiful and grandiose – definitely distinct from the other stores on Robertson(Kitson, Intermix, Curve.) I left the store after 30 minutes – yes, we talked for that long – and apologized that I didn’t buy anything, but Justin was still very cool. Why? He probably knew that I would definitely return – and yes, I will. The new D&G flagship store has won over a special place in my mental shopping map. Management has done a fantastic job in selecting its salespeople – the D&G customer(young, fun and down-to-earth), organizing its merchandise, and bringing an entirely new and luxurious level to contemporary shopping.
