David S. Frey, DDS

Dr Frey is completely wonderful cosmetic dentist and a perfectionist. I would definitely recommend him to anyone as he is patient and a master at what he does. I am very picky and he got the shape exactly the way I wanted them and even had me go to the lab to make sure they were done as specified. After I thought all was finished, he had recommended that my front 2 teeth be redone as he was not satisfied with the lab’s work and thought they were too translucent. He DID NOT HAVE TO DO THIS as they really looked good. After scrutinizing closely, I saw what he meant but didn’t realize I’d have to go through the whole process again which is quite a pain. (not only for me but him as well) The only problem is that these 2 teeth came back a tad whiter than the rest. I thought I heard him say that if the teeth came in too white he can bring them down a notch in the office. Apparently I heard wrong as he told me that this could not be done once they were in my mouth. Still, he was still willing to correct it but I could not bring myself to go through this laborious process again. I am hoping they will tone down a bit in time to match the others which look so natural. Another sign of his integrity was that when he realized that his preferred dental hygienist did not clean my teeth, he gave me a complimentary cleaning. She was great. My only recommendation to him would be not to ask me important questions when under anesthesia. Questions like «Do you want your frenum removed?» should be done before surgery during the consult so people can make an informed decision that is not only cosmetic. In retrospect, I wish I kept mine as food gets caught in my gums above my front upper teeth where it hadn’t before. I want to end on a high note because Dr. Frey is a caring upstanding man who will do his darnedest to make you happy. He wants to see you smile.

Dr. Frey has made my smile an A+. It is such an emotional experience to go from hiding your mouth to smiling a brilliant smile, and getting compliments on your smile. He and his staff are so comforting. He works quickly and pays attention to detail. If you are unsure about getting going through this life-​changing experience, I urge you to go for it, for it truly is life-​changing. A big investment, but worth it.

I do not know where to start with this amazingness! The staff here is super helpful. Shout out to Jasmin, who helps you with all your paperwork, insurance and any further necessary financing. The office doesn’t accept insurance any longer but will bill insurance for you to get a reimbursement for what the portion the insurance company will pay. (I began treatment June 2015, when they still accepted insurance, now I have to do the reimbursement)
Dr. Frey specializes in cosmetic dentistry, so don’t be afraid when he offers you veneers as an option. He will offer, and if that’s not what you want he is very understanding and will move on and discuss whichever treatment plan you are looking to have done.
I needed some dental work completed prior to me being able to get fitted for Invisalign.
Dr. Frey did the work pain free and quickly. He is so happy and a bit quirky, which I appreciate especially since I’m just about the same. He jokes around a lot to keep everything light while he’s drilling in your mouth. I like that he explains everything that needs to be done, and is upfront and will tell you honestly if you need the work.
Dr. Gabbay, who works in his office totally needs her own Unilocal page as well. She has been so awesome with my Invisalign treatments. She explains each step thoroughly, and has done an excellent job with the treatment. (I have attached pics so you can see my progress. I am past the halfway point)
When I was searching for a new Dentist, I found many who had pictures up with celebrities on their site and Unilocal pages. Frankly I don’t care about that. I live in Los Angeles so that does not sway my decision either way. Dr. Frey didn’t have celebs plastered on his website, just a bunch of regular people. In his office he has a few pics with some people. But they were modest and not boastful.
The office doesn’t validate for parking, but there is metered street parking, and if you pull up at the right time you might can grab a spot. Otherwise the underground garage is the way to go. I don’t stress myself out over it. If there is a metered spot, I grab it, If not I just go to the garage and pay the 5 to 12 bucks typically depending on how long my stay.

Dr. Frey and his staff are the best! I came to Dr. Frey after being involved in an accident that caused trauma to my teeth. The appearance of my teeth was deteriorating and I had lost my confidence to smile and it was really beginning to affect my disposition. His before and after photos were FANTASTIC, his accolades were superb and I knew I wanted to be treated by him. I called the office and the receptionist was friendly and got me in the NEXT DAY! I had consultations with other dentists but was not swayed by anyone until meeting with Dr. Frey. I discussed my concerns and was met with real answers and even a projection of what my fixed smile would look like on the FIRST visit to their office. I knew that this process was an investment in me, my future, my confidence and mostly my HAPPINESS. Plus, its my mouth– I didn’t want to get terrible work done on my teeth! Jasmin was so accommodating in working out a payment option that was feasible for me. I was in happy tears after I left my first visit and returned six days later to be fitted for my temporary lumineers. HOLY YES! Upon being fitted with my temporary smile I could NOT STOP SMILING– I smiled at kids, seniors, passerby’s, birds– everyone and anything! People smiled back at me and just like that, Dr. Frey and his team helped me create a little more happiness in the world. This smile is INFECTIOUS! The difference is astounding and I feel like myself again– happy, bubbly, and confident. I CANNOT wait to get my permanent lumineers. I am glowing and HIGHLY recommend Dr. Frey and his team. ITS WORTH IT! Set up your consultation with Dr. Frey today– in less than two weeks you will feel like a better YOU! I’m keeping Dr. Frey forever!

Dr. Frey is amazing! The work that he does is truly life changing! I had suffered from severe migraines and TMJ problems for over a decade and after beginning my treatment with Dr. Frey I am feeling so much healthier! I am so happy to say that I have not experienced any migraines or any more back and neck pain. I had gone to many doctors who said they understood what I was going through and could help me, but in the end all they would do is give me more medication. And don’t get me wrong, the medication helped temporarily but it wasn’t a solution. I knew it was time to seek other options when I began experiencing more muscle pain, migraines twice a week, anxiety attacks, I couldn’t sleep very much without waking up in even more pain. The thing that hurt me the most was that due to all of this I couldn’t be the fun loving parent that I knew I was. My young daughter was seeing me suffer and I that’s when I knew things must change. Thankfully my mom saw a clip of Dr. Frey being interviewed on tv and she wrote down his name and we began researching him online. Everything doctor said and described to me all made sense. I felt very comfortable with him because he selects a very precise treatment plan customized for you. Dr Frey is the best! I went to him several years ago for severe TMJ/​bruxism since I was having migraine headaches and unable to eat more than a soft or liquid diet due to pain with chewing. He performed neuromuscular and other testing carefully evaluating my bite. He was thorough and patient, explaining everything. He made himself available for my questions and concerns and certainly went that second mile for my care.
He made a dental appliance for me that relieved my pain and gave me a beautiful new smile! Best of all, it made eating normal food possible again. I am so happy with my results!!! I have been to many dentists for my problem teeth and and I can truly say none of them understand my teeth, bite and muscular involvement nearly as well as Dr Frey!!! You will not be disappointed with Dr Frey:)

I have had tmj issues for past couple years. I did everything from mouth guards and trying different Drs. I had none stop headaches, pressure in my jaw constantly, not being able my mouth straight when I yawned, and my jaw always getting tired when I chewed something for a long period of time. Finally came to the conclusion that I would have to live with the pain for rest of my life.
I was watching tv and saw dr. Frey’s was on a talk show. I decided to listen in and see what he had to say about tmj. After hearing his theory on how to fix it I decided to give his office a call. I am so happy I did. After minutes of wearing my semi permanent orthotic the pressure that was beneath both of ears had disappeared. I can say I haven’t had a headache since. It was a little awkward and getting use to the orthotic after two weeks my bite had found its natural place. To this day I am thankful to have found dr Frey. I still have some clenching in my teeth hear and there but I know it couldn’t have been fixed 100%. I am very happy with the results. Through the whole process dr. Frey has been really caring. He actually cares and wants to help his patients and goes out of his way. His staff is just as amazing. Always has a smile so and so friendly.

When I first started shopping for veneers, I was only concerned with the appearance of my teeth. I’m so glad I found Dr. Frey because he not only got me a beautiful set of teeth, but he corrected my bite as well. Now I don’t get chronic headaches anymore!

Love Dr. Frey and his entire team. Somehow, my updated review for my implant didn’t post. So, better late than never. I had an old crown fail and as I already have one implant and its great, I decided to go for another. The process is piece of cake, you get the bad tooth out, then that heals, then you get the little stem (which Dr. Sanda Moldovan does) and then after a few more months you get your beautiful new tooth. Dr. Frey uses all the latest techniques and has the newest equipment. If you ever have questions just ask to speak with Dr. Frey; he’ll help.

I just realized I never left a review after getting a wisdom tooth removed by Dr. Frey a couple of years ago (I raved about my experience to a friend who now needs her wisdom teeth out, so I recommended Dr. Frey).
My first wisdom tooth removal was done by a dentist in Boston and it was by far the worst medical experience of my life. Just HORRIBLE. So, I avoided getting my 4^th tooth removed until it became too painful to ignore.
I went to Dr. Frey and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I got my teeth cleaned first by a very friendly hygienist. Then, the wisdom tooth extraction was done by Dr. Frey. It went SO SMOOTHLY and was SO PAINLESS, I literally didn’t believe him when he said it was done. After the nightmare that was my previous wisdom tooth extraction, I expected this one to be extremely uncomfortable — but it was so, so simple and painless.
If you are scared or nervous about getting dental work done, I can’t recommend Dr. Frey enough.
The services here are a bit pricier than at a run of the mill dentist, but you REALLY get what you pay for in this case, and for your health & smile I think it is totally worth it! They even helped me set up a CareCredit account so I could pay for the procedure on a monthly plan to offset the cost (I didn’t have dental insurance at the time).
Also the office is super nice, and didn’t have that weird dingy carpet /​fluorescent lighting and weird dentist smell that other dental offices seem to.

Dr. Frey is my current dentist.
He replaced an old crown recently that was a root canal in the molar tooth.
He cleaned the metal out of the tooth put a new metal-​free filling in and a new crown.
It improved my health tremendously and looks and feels great.
I regular visit the office for zoom whitening and cleaning.

Just like the other reviews on Unilocal,I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Fray and his staff. I had an accident and knocked my two front teeth out, so needless to say getting them fixed was a high priority.
Dr. Fray was very accommodating and available as soon as I made it back to LA. I had originally scheduled 3 consultations, and Dr. Fray was the only one available on a Friday and saw me first. After visiting with he, Jasmine, and Dr. Moldovan, I canceled my other two appointments and made my decision that day. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and walked me through the process of what to expect. Dr. Moldovan was going to be the one performing the surgery and made the whole thing seem very easy and nothing to worry about.
I had my first surgery the following Monday and it was painless and successful. I was leaving the country a few days later so they packed me an emergency kit in case something happened to my temps and had referrals ready in Korea in case something happened.
Going with Dr. Fray and Dr. Moldovan was definitely the right choice and they made the best out of a grim situation. Jasmine is great and will take care of you as well. Lastly, they have some great financing options to make the process more manageable.

I am very happy with Dr. Frey and his staff.
