When it comes to escrow companies you will not find a better escrow company who cares about their customers. I have been doing business with Escrow of the West since day one. If you are looking for an escrow company that has experienced escrow officers no need to look anyplace else.
If you are doing commercial or resdenital you will you be one happy customer. I highly recommend Lynne Davis for all you’re escrow needs. If it is short sales or any kind of real estate transaction you are in good hands.
I never had one bad experience using Escrow of the West for my real estate needs. They have two location one in Beverly Hills and one in Woodland Hills. Hands down they care about their customers.

Today they helped complete one of the more difficult closings I’ve had with nothing but steadiness, patience and professionalism. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED them! The Silver-​Milstein Group at Keller Williams Beverly Hills has been using Escrow of the West for many years. We have done business with all the large escrow companies in town and none of them hold a candle to the quality and level of customer service and professionalism that we experience with every transaction. At every level, from the receptionists to the operating partners, we get amazing attention, fast and accurate responses and quality work that is hard to find anywhere else. In ever deal we negotiate, we fight to use Escrow of the West as we know what an asset it is to have an escrow company that you can count on! I would recommend them to anyone with confidence!

They are TERRIBLE! Unless you are an expert home buyer I wouldn’t work with them. As a new homebuyer they were the worst in communicating any form of information to me. My escrow agent was working with an assistant and they do not seem to communicate with each other at all.
I was required to find a homeowner’s insurance company for them to order the insurance for me and very little initiative was taken to order it, which resulted in a delay in our escrow close. The delay then affected my movers, and appliance deliveries and so much more that I no longer have the energy to explain.
In general they were ineffective at providing me with instructions to get things done. If you are filthy rich where you can quit your day job to hold escrow’s hand to get the job done of closing escrow then by all means, this is the company for you. Unfortunately for me, I need my day job and after working a long day I do not wish to get the run around on the biggest purchase of my life.

We just closed an escrow with Escrow of the West and they were incredibly unprofessional. They were unresponsive throughout the entire process and they did not prepare us in time for close. Unfortunately we ended up closing 5 days later which cost us over $ 1,000 in extra interest and taxes. They refused to compensate us for their mistake and were extremely rude. STAY AWAY from them. Insist that your broker use someone else.

We used Escrow of the West at the rec of our seller. Not thinking there was much difference between escrow houses we didn’t think twice. We ended up falling out of escrow and had to fight with Escrow of the West for almost six weeks to get a return of our funds. The consistently emailed us docs that no longer applied as we had signed and physically walked in a cancel of escrow form– and this went on. and on. and on. How is it possible they can be so. unprofessional and incompetent?
Last week they claimed that my husband had come in, picked up the check, couldn’t deposit the funds, so they wired it to his account. Scary enough– this wasn’t my husband. After a chaotic frenzy of calls trying to determine if this was fraud or not of OUR MONEY– they finally realize that «Oops, we messed up the escrow folders. The man who came in was Armenian and he looked like your husband, that’s why were confused.» Umm really? You don’t check addresses of escrow accounts or IDs or Escrow numbers? That’s the biggest BS excuse I’ve ever heard. Not to mention the fact that my husband is Irish… ?
So after hammering them to get the check ready, they inform us it will take a day or two to put together. Seriously? I tell them we’ll be out of the country and won’t be able to pick up– but to hold it for us. Today, my first day back, I get a rude, «We left you a voicemail and never heard back so we dropped it in the mail.» WTF. All in all, I KNOW they delayed this entire process to hold on to the funds for as long as possible so they can earn the interest for six weeks. Well played Escrow of the West.
I cannot recommend AGAINST them enough. They are rude, curt, incompetent, and I fully believe dishonest.

I was purchasing a house and the sellers agent insisted that we use this escrow company. Against my better judgment I agreed and the nightmare started at that moment. They were very rude, did not get back to me on time and very expensive. They had clear instructions from me and the seller in writing regarding a credit that was due to me and they ignored that entirely and held the credit in their account for 4 months and I finally got paid after spending around $ 10,000 in attorney fees and going to mediation. Never never never use them or Gail who is one of the managers. They are a nightmare and should be banned by the DRE. I have sent letters to BBB and have told them all about this so called firm.
