Dr. Zail Khalsa has practiced chiropractic for over 28 years. His background includes a BA in Biology and a MS in Molecular Genetics and Phd research in recombinant DNA from the University of Rochester, NY. He served as the Team Chiropractor for the National League Champion San Diego Padres. Dr. Khalsa devoted his life to helping others through Chiropractic care after he regained his health from a near fatal cancer. His hobbies include surfing, fly fishing, guitar, yoga, Olympic weight lifting and raising Italian Greyhounds.

Dr. Khalsa is expertly knowledgeable and skilled in the area of body alignment, skeletal adjustments, and the health and well-​being of the body from the inside out. He is thorough and explains why he is making certain adjustments and what can be expected in subsequent care. It took about 3 days after my first visit that I realized I was more relieved from my chronic neck pain for the first time in over a year. I had received massage therapy, acupuncture, and cupping that didn’t remedy my neck issue prior to seeing Dr, Khalsa. Dr. Khalsa is a consummate professional and I will be referring many others to his practice.

Dr. Khalsa is the real deal. After a lifetime of scoliosis and low back pain, things got worse and started effecting my neck and shoulder mobility. He went to work on me. He gives homework (exercises, lying on corrective blocks in weird positions, bands), and then adjusts you to realign your spine and free up your nerves. It takes time and work, but the benefits are clearly worth it. My posture has improved, my mobility is much better, and it seems like I’m generally stronger. I’ve been to a lot of chiropractors, and Dr. Zail is really unique.

I have known Dr Khalsa for more than a decade. He has helped me through many health challenges especially this last year as I have been dealing with Bladder Cancer, surgery and after care treatment. The advice he has given me, a different perspective on medical treatments, what vitiams I should be taking, dietary suggestions, yoga was very helpful. The adjustments I received during my recovery were extremely helpful. I am currently Tumer free and I feel a asured that my treatments and advice that I received from Dr K were very beneficial in my recovery.

I came to see Dr. Khalsa with severe lower back pain and expected to get a sort of message that will alleviate it. Having suffered from sciatica for years I was sure it would take some days, if not weeks, to recover. With just a few questions Dr. Khalsa determined the emotional trauma that caused the problem years ago, which I completely forgot, and honestly told me that I need to deal with it if I want to get rid of this condition. To say I was chocked is to say nothing! He also did some manipulations which made me feel better right away.
Though I didn’t believe much that dealing with the emotional trauma can help heal physical body, for the rest of the day I was thinking about our conversation, trying to remember that situation from my past and the feelings I had about it. Next morning I woke up with almost no pain at all! I’m so amazed and impressed!
Dr. Khalsa is a true healer — knowledgable, attentive and caring.

Dr. Khalsa has helped me with any and every type of pain I’ve had: knee, back, shoulder, and migraines. He is quick to respond and has even made a house call as well for me.
My neck is literally curving the wrong way, and I have vertebrae that are deteriorating: all in my 20s. Khalsa has helped me SO MUCH!!!
He pays full attention to his patients when they are in the exam room completely and fully.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Khalsa for over 15 years, more like 20, and he’s the best! His diagnostic skills, his technique, his knowledge of physiology are so impressive. I credit him with not just addressing my spinal health but my whole body health as well.
Additionally, he’s a stand up guy who’s deeply concerned about the well being of his clients. The guy would come in on New Years eve in a snowstorm if you needed him to. Can’t say enough good things.
I can’t believe the lousy review that I see here and I have to question if that person is of sound mind. I think not. I wouldn’t even consider seeing anyone else.

My wife and I came to Dr. Zail at first, for our baby. She was experiencing severe reflux and we had read that chiropractic medicine could alleviate some of her symptoms. I had never experienced a Chiropractor before, and honestly, I was very apprehensive. I considered myself more of a physical therapy type of person.
Long story short, we brought our daughter in a few times and I’m pretty sure her mobility was improved after just two visits. We didn’t take her long enough to see improvement in the reflux, but I couldn’t have been more comfortable with Dr. Zail’s care for my baby. He is completely gentle and a master at what he does.
Since that time I have been seeing Dr. Zail for my back and also could not be happier. This man truly loves what he does and it’s obvious he is constantly learning and keeping up to date in all that is going on with his field.
I have gone 4 times now and already feel and notice improvements in my alignment.
If you’re hesitant about chiropractic medicine, as I was, he’s the guy with whom you want to «break the ice».

My mom was visiting from abroad. Looking at her bone conditions was troubling my heart. She could not walk straight. It felt like that one of her legs is shorter from the other. I knew there is not much one can do for an older lady as proud as herself. She already had bad experiences with chiropractors who didn’t understand her fragile weak bone conditions. I convinced her to give doctor Zail a chance as I knew he had a style of himself.
We walked to his office and received a humble welcoming smile. She had already lost her anxiety. Then I walked with her in the room to be the translator. I was indeed amazed with the wealth of knowledge he can transfer so easily to an old lady of other origin. Then there was only a gentle touch. And we walked out. I was so deeply happy to see my mom walking in such a balance even speedier than myself.
That was the best gift I gave to my old mom and to myself. Thank you doctor Zail!

While in LA for work, my lower back got a little tweaked and strained. Fortunately, Dr. Khalsa is near my office so I called him up and made an appointment.
I am so glad I did!
Dr. Khalsa thoroughly examined my neck and back, asked me do a few simple exercises to diagnose the issue and within minutes, he adjusted my neck and back ribs and had me feeling a thousand times better! If I lived in the area I would see him regularly, but I am happy to know that when I am in Beverly Hills, I have a «go to» chiropractor that can fix me up. Awesome experience all around!

I have been seeing Dr. Zail on and off for about a year. As a dance instructor I absolutely need to keep my body aligned, pain free and working well. I can’t afford being in pain, as it translates into my movement on the dance floor and take away from enjoying what I do.
Dr. Zail combines deep knowledge and skill when devising the best treatment approach. He reads the body very well and connects the «emotional blocks» with physical manifestations. I really like that!
I am very grateful to have Dr. Zail in my life. He makes my visits very convenient, affordable and is always there when I need an adjustment, which always makes me feel well cared for.

I have been seeing Dr. Zail for over a 1 year and I am extremely pleased with the results. It started with my first introduction to Dr. Zail as he adjusted my neck and immediately eliminated tension and pain to working with Dr. Zail on improving my posture over the last year. The improvements have been dramatic and visible.
He is an extremely thorough and detailed doctor, taking the time to explain his approach, to refer back to x-​Ray, to show specific things he will be working on. Dr. Zail is also a very warm and concerned professional. When I had my car accident about 7 months ago, and it happened on the weekend, I left him a message, asking to see him later in the week. He called me within several minutes, offered to see me immediately, and made sure that I was OK to wait until the next working day.
On many occasions he has adjusted his office hours to see me when I was unable to be in his office due to my work schedule. I have been so impressed with his professional approach and the results that he achieved with me, that I send my daughter to work with him as well. Even though she goes to school in a different state, after the initial in person appointment, Dr. Zail offered to work with her over the phone as well as do some videos on specific exercises he wants her to do.

I have been visiting Dr. Zail for the better part of six months now, and I am very pleased and fulfilled with the wellness path that I have travelled with his support!
My original reason for reaching out to him was for chiropractic support in my journey as a Japanese Tea Ceremony student. Specificaly, I had trouble and great pain in my ankles while sitting in the required seiza position as host or guest in the ceremony.
Through his diligent and conscientious support, counsel and engagement, I have managed to achieve a modified seiza position and increase my sitting duration from about 5mins to a full hour! While the goal of full seiza for the duration of the ceremony is still ambitious, I now also see it as realistic and attainable.
And Dr. Zail is directly responsible for this marked improvement!
As an unintended and totally unexpected consequence of my wellness path with Dr. Zail, I am beginning to see improved strength in my facial musculature, which has long been afflicted with the aftereffects of Bells Palsy. There are no promises to offer or miracles to report — and probably will never be – but the power of the body to heal itself if given the chance is profound.
As such, I have nothing but great love and highest commendation for Dr. Zail and his commitment to his work and journey. I do and would recommend him unconditionally!!!

Dr. Zail changed my view of chiropractic entirely, I had gone for my first time and he spent a generous amount of time educating me on the art, and have gone in numerous times since then for adjustments and every time i have experienced no pain or discomfort at all and felt like a new person after. I know a lot of people are apprehensive about going to a chiropractor, but Dr. Zail is great at walking you through the process before he does anything. I’ve been working with him on chronic neck issues, and he’s helped me a lot. He’s also been able to recommend strengthening exercises to help me recover from sports injuries.
