I caution anyone to visit this practice. Here’s my experience. I arrived at the office 5 minutes early as a new patient. The receptionist gave me a clip board of waivers etc. to sign including a HIPA disclosure but no HIPA information. The form I was signing stated I had seen the form which wasn’t the case, and being from a family of attorneys, I asked to see the form. This request seemed to surprise the receptionist and I wan’t surprised by her reaction as I think many many people sign documents without reading them…
One clause in the HIPA was confusing. The form seemed to state that I was allowing the Doctor to provide my information to any party anytime. I asked the receptionist for clarification. Was I misinterpreting the clause? Did it state that by signing this document I was giving them permission or was it saying I would be given another form to sign should I like to give them permission to share my information with anyone they desire?
Again, the receptionist freaked a little and could not answer the question. When she went to the doctor, I believe she misrepresented my question but none the less when she returned she told me «no one has ever questioned our forms and the Doctor feels he must follow the laws and cannot take you as a patient.»
Imagine a Doctor with a receptionist that doesn’t understand the forms she has the patients sign and has no idea what goes on in the front office. Further, so impatient or uncaring as to throw a patient out due to a question on a document. No one else was in the office and he couldn’t bother to come out and clarify the question.
Not the kind of doctor I’d want to use anyway.

Dr. Norris took me in on his lunch break because I was crying and worried about my baby. He and his staff are very professional and are truly concerned for there patience. I would 100% recommend Dr. Norris.

Hands down Dr Norris has THE BEST bedside manner ever. I have two girlfriends who swore by him. When I first met with him I was concerned that being older, he may not know all the newest technology and trends. His extensive experience and fantastic and thorough and attentive approach assuaged any of those (naïve) concerns. He helped me through a pregnancy at 44, and was with me every step of the way. He has a great network of relationship with specialists, so if there’s a need he can provide immediate access, even calling on your behalf before you get there. I’m telling you he is impressive and special. He also has a great sense of humor. When I delivered my baby I was back in the hospital and he was there every morning and night, accessible by cell on weekends and even proactively reached out to me. He is highly regarded by other physicians. I can’t say enough good things about Dr Karl Norris. He runs a small practice and is always accessible. His office is also terrific. Teri and Nan are the best.

Dr. Norris is hands down the best doctor I have ever had. He has been my OB GYN since I was 16 and I’m now in my mid 40’s. He takes the time to explain very detail to you and takes your calls anytime, anywhere. I don’t know what I would do without him.

Dr. Karl Norris was referred to me in 2012 when in the first couple months of my first pregnancy, my former OB-​GYN advised me that he was taking a sabbatical from labor /​delivery. My former OB-​GYN had been my Dr for over 10 years.
Dr. Norris was the only referral provided to me. From the moment I walked in with my boyfriend for our consult, I was so impressed by his expertise, friendly demeanor and was put immediately at ease. We advised Dr. Norris that we wanted to move forward with him for the remainder of my pregnancy on the spot.
After a successful, pain-​free, amazing birth process, I’m happy to have Dr. Norris as my primary OB-​GYN. We are now expecting baby number 2 and I couldn’t imagine anyone else BUT Dr. Karl Norris to be there to deliver our baby. He is an exceptional OB-​GYN and I’m so very thankful he is in our lives.

Dr. Norris has been my doctor since I was old enough to need a gynecologist (except for a handful of years when I was living outside of California). I am now in my mid-​fifties. During times when I didn’t have an internist, he has functioned as my primary care doctor. Over the decades, he has come to feel like family to me. The level of caring and hands-​on personal attention he consistently gives is second to none. His approach is a throwback to an era when doctors knew everyone in the family by name, and stopped by the house when someone was ailing. Yet, he is completely up to date on the latest medical developments. I’m also very fond of his office staff – Nan and Terri (hope I’m spelling Terri’s name right!). They are both lovely… attentive, caring, and responsive.
There has never been any question that I adore Dr. Norris. And now, he has saved my life! Yep – thanks to two particular habits of his, I just dodged a bullet. His first habit: he believes that after the age of fifty, a woman should have her pap smear exam done twice a year. And his second habit: after he does your pap smear and manual breast exam, he sits with you and manually checks your neck for lumps. Well, a month ago, he found one! That’s right, my gynecologist of all people took the the time to do a manual neck exam and found a thyroid tumor. I had surgery last Friday, and thanks to the fact that Dr. Norris had seen me only six months earlier for a pap and exam, the tumor had only been growing for six months. The surgery was successful, the tumor removed, and I am now cancer free.
If you are looking for a doctor who will take the time to explain things to you, who will sit and talk with you until you are reassured and at peace, who will treat you as an intelligent human being and never speak down to you, and who truly cares in a way that transcends the exchange of money, you can’t do better than Dr. Norris. Of course, if you prefer the formal style of physician – the type who keeps you at arm’s length and never jokes with you – you might fail to appreciate the treasure that is Dr. Norris. But, for me, he is the cream of the crop. He has spoiled me for other doctors.

I have been to MANY doctors over the years and Dr. Norris and his entire staff are by the far the nicest most efficient caring people out there! I hope to continue on with Dr. Norris and his staff for years to come.

Let me start off by saying that Dr. Norris is a good doctor in that medically he knows his stuff and you’re in competent hands with him. He also seemed like a nice person, which is why I’m reluctant to write this review. What I was put off by and what has been niggling at me for months is that after giving me my exam he suggested that after having 2 kids I needed vaginal reconstructive surgery. Yeah, you just read that. Only in Beverly Hills right?!
I joke, but honestly I do not feel that it is appropriate for any doctor to suggest an elective surgery of this nature to anyone without a medical reason, especially in these circumstances. Most new mothers are self-​concious enough about the changes their bodies have been through without having someone who is supposed to be focused on their health insinuate that there is something aesthetically wrong with them. Not helpful Dr. Norris.
To top it off, when we were discussing birth control I mentioned that my husband was thinking about getting a vasectomy. He immediately launched into a story about his friend who had a vasectomy and could no longer preform in the bedroom since biologically men need to be able to reproduce and blah blah blah he had to have it reversed. O_​o What?! So basically, my husband should not undergo a relatively painless, quick procedure to ensure I no longer need to take synthetic hormone junk every day of my life because it might affect his manhood?! Oh Dr. Norris. Maybe they can just tie my tubes when I’m under general anesthesia for my vaginal reconstructive surgery. NOT.

I have to start of with saying that Dr. Norris is absolutely a great Doctor.
Always thought I’d want to have a female doctor who specializes in obstetrics & gynecology, but my doctor said doctor Norris was one of the best.
So I went to see him, he was so friendly and warm. Didn’t feel uncomfortable speaking to him about personal things at all.
He talked me through the tests he wanted me to take and what he thought the best next steps would be in his eyes.
We were waiting for results on blood tests and Doctor Norris called me as soon as he received them only I missed his call. He left me a voicemail saying that I could call him back at anytime. When I heard the msg it was 7pm, but was anxious to find out what the results were so called him on the cell number he gave me. He was very friendly and told me what I needed to know and said if there is anything to call him anytime.
He has a great office and his wife works along side with him dealing with all the business side of things. Nan is lovely, actually they all are there…
Just wanted to let others know about him as think you wouldn’t know him unless someone recommends him! His office is a secret gem… you could say.

This review is long overdue (I have been under his care for just about 5 months)
I searched Unilocal to find an OB when I found out I was pregnant.
I have never had such a pleasent doctor visit.
Dr. Norris explains alot!
I love that every visit he explains upcoming and optional test and the reason.
I really think he deserved recognition for customer follow up.
When I came down with horrible morning sickness Dr. Norris faxed my work a note so I didnt have to drive to his office and he called me the rest of the week to check up on me.
Dr. Norris also deserves recognition for handling all aspects of your prenatal care himself.
I love that he does the ultrasounds himself (except for 20 week ultrasound and blood work) and then he proceeds to explain and answer every question new concerned first time parents could have in his office.
He even gave me his cellphone number. (Have you ever had your physicians personal phone number?!)
And a same day appointment no problem.
The receptionist is alwaya welcoming and I look forward to my prenatal visits!

I love Dr Norris. I moved too far now so I cant go to him. I went to him for more then 10 years he also delivered my second child. He is one of the best! love him!
