I’m quite outraged by the lack of professionalism and communication with the rep, Christie, in the last week.
My roommate found a listing on Craigslist and fell in love with a property. We submitted our applications timely (paid $ 30 each for the application) and were notified that we were #2 in line. Not bad, right? That’s what we thought, too!
The following day we receive notification from Christie that the owner wanted to raise rent an additional $ 100 a month. Her email stated an apology for this last-​minute change as she’s «merely the middle man.» Her job is to be a middle man and she obviously is off to a bad start.
We politely refused to continue the application process and requested our fee to be refunded as these were not the terms we agreed upon when we first submitted the application. She then responded that the owner agreed to stick to the original amount. Good news, right? It goes on.
She then leads us on with unfulfilled promises that she will get back to us «later today.» When we heard nothing at 9pm, we followed up. Her response is that we’ll hear back «tomorrow morning,» and when morning comes around, we hear nothing. We follow up again asking for a response by noon. On the dot, she calls at noon to let us know that the other applicants had met with the owner and offered 6 months worth of rent upfront and that we’re pretty much out of luck.
Did we get an opportunity to counter offer? NOPE. We could’ve matched it, heck, we could’ve paid a year upfront.
Sometimes good things come out of terrible situations like this because we found a lovely manager elsewhere.

Looking for a place in LA can lead to some really shady experiences. Luckily, I found Dustin, a nice/​honest/​helpful guy, who really seems to care about people. LA UR Home had a nice video of the unit, and then Dustin showed me the place and answered any questions I had. It’s hard to find someone you can trust when looking for a new apartment around here, but Dustin really was great. I’m very happy with my place and would definitely recommend LA UR Home to any of my friends.

Moving and finding a new place to live can be exceptionally stressful, but Dustin from LA UR Home made the process as easy as it could possibly be! He was on top of his emails and phone calls and answered any questions we had in a promptly manner. We are very happy at our new place and definitely recommend LA UR Home!

Dustin was efficient, direct, and made the leasing process simple. If you are moving into West LA or Beverly HIlls I highly recomend utilizing his services. He responded right away to emails and voicemails, minimized all potential issues, and got me moved in ASAP.

Trust me, this company rocks — especially real-​estate agent Dustin Coad. He showed my wife and I a truly amazing penthouse in Beverly Hills and, when he saw how much we wanted it, Dustin went the distance for us. He talked to the landlord on our behalf, shared some good credit advice and it’s clear he genuinely cares about helping people find their dream place. If you want a down-​to-​earth guy (and company) who won’t waste your time with less-​than-​stellar places and most likely know how to get you in it, you really need to look no further. Kudos!
