dr anstey & staff were awsum. just moved here from east coast & needed a root canal. the location of the office is convienient & the office is clean & relaxing. the receptionist is excellent, vry friendly & helpful. dr anstey’s asst. is fantastic, vry good bedside manner & friendly. dr anstey was great. he made me vry comfortable w/​the procedure. there was no pain. dr anstey is vry easy to talk to, fun & knowledgeable. dr ansteys professional skills are superb. i would definitely go back.

I was told I needed three teeth pulled and maybe more. I went for a second opinion. The second opinion thought we could save some of them but maybe not all and felt the best man for the job would be Dr. Anstey. I went to see him and he managed to rebuild two root canals and save those teeth. But one had to come out. It went from bad to worse. Not only did it have to come out but I didn’t have enough bone to hold the implant in place properly. Dr. Anstey was able to graft bone from the other side and make it all work. Needless to say, all this work took many long visits during the better part of a year. We travel extensively and we have two children but he was willing to work within my schedule to make it all happen. His services are not inexpensive but absolutely, 100% worth the stretch. You may be able to find someone else to do the work for less money but you will not get the quality or care that comes with Dr. Anstey and his staff. They are warm, caring and friendly as well as incredibly knowledgeable. His staff are quick and on top of it. I felt very well informed about what was going to happen at every visit. I actually felt sad to leave after my last appointment with them. They are amazing. If you have a dental issue, this is the place to go.

Fantastic dental experience from beginning to end. Making the appointment with such friendly staff. To actually being in the chair feeling safe and cared for. I highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Paul Anstey, D.D.S. is the best Endodontist ever. I required emergency care as a result of damage done to my teeth by a dentist in Orange County. Dr. Anstey saw me immediately and did a thorough examination using his high technology microscope and correctly diagnosed why I was in pain. Over the next several months I required a dental implant and several root canals. While Dr. Anstey performed these procedures on my teeth there was no pain at all. I drove all the way from Orange County to Beverly Hills several times because I had such confidence in Dr. Anstey’s expertise and care. I am very happy with the results of his care and truly believe that because of his advanced training and cutting edge equipment his patients receive the most advanced endodontic and dental implant care available.

If avoiding pain, having a quicker than normal recovery and getting it done right are important, Dr. Anstey is your choice. Worked on me a couple of times. Never had so little pain in recovery. Results were stunning. He is at the cutting edge of the latest and most effective technology.

I was referred to Dr. Anstey; I had a tooth that was on the verge of being given its last rights. My dentist said that if anybody could save its life, it would be Dr. Anstey. It was necessary to have extensive root canal work, but I’m happy to report it was virtually painless. And to make a long story short, Mr. Tooth is alive and well and happily still residing inside my mouth where he belongs.
In addition to being great at what he does and almost equally important, he’s a great guy. It was almost worth my not practicing good dental hygiene in order to meet him. Almost.

So far so good. I, ll be back as it progresses.
Had 6 hours of surgery and I am still alive.
Add 6 more hours of drilling. Still good. Feeling much better.

Dr. Anstey is a total pro. He’s an excellent diagnostician who takes great
pride in his work and techniques, and the proof is in the recovery. After
having root canal work, I had no residual pain from where he had administered the anesthesia injections. He’s a lovely person with a
great bedside manner and was worth the cost.

Dr. Anstey is an incredibly gifted medical professional. His expertise as well as his suburb chair side manner is both refreshing and reassuring. He is a true teacher at heart and explains diagnosis and prognosis in a way that exudes his passion for his life work. His office staff reflects his kindness and humanness as well. You are always greeted with a smile and his office and staff radiate positive energy. He is proficient, meticulous and a perfectionist when it comes to his work and he treats you just as he would a family member sitting in the chair. I highly recommend if you ever need a root canal that he is your first and last call. He is genius and cool.

I had two root canals done by Dr. Anstey in 2004. One required two visits and one was done in one visit. I can only say positive things about Dr. Anstey and his office staff. Professional, pleasant and most importantly, Dr. Anstey does a remarkable job with minimal discomfort, if any. My recovery was smooth and I have not had any subsequent problems with the root canal locations. The office design very soothing, and he explains as he goes along. The friend who recommended Dr. Anstey to me had gone to two incompetent endodentists and told me I would not regret choosing him. She was right! He is also very good about accomodating an emergency situation whether he needs to come in early or to stay late.

Seriously one of the best endodontists in town!!! Not only do you feel very relaxed upon entering his zen like office space, but I am always welcomed with a smile and a feeling of ease unlike most teeth related visits. Did I also mention that Dr. Anstey is not only an incredible dr but just a good human being. I always feel like he sincerely cares about my health and always providing me the best work possible. I have had 3 root canals performed by him now– all which were daunting surgeries to me, but once I was in the chair (cozy with my legs under a pillow and warm blanket) everything didn’t seem so scary. He’s super patient and also informative as to what he is doing and why. He even showed me the pic through the telescope of his process which was really interesting since most doctors don’t even take the time to explain the whole process. I always left a little groggy — but I was supplied with plenty of pain killers and a little after-​care package that brought me right back to life. Out of the 3 root canals I had– I think only one had a littler lingering pain (which is normal) and the rest it was as if nothing had happened the prior day– so needless to say his works speaks for itself. I highly recommend this guy for anyone looking to get the best treatment for your teeth LA has to offer. Plus– the Dr. is just cool– always a nice attitude with great S. Afrikan art everywhere and good music. Thanks Anstey for making the seemingly dreaded root canal experience not so bad!

‘The Smashdown of 2011″. I fainted and fell on my face. I was taken to the hospital where they gave me stitches in my chin and ran a number of tests on me but they didn’t do anything about my teeth, which were completely smashed and moved around, creating a lot of trauma to my gums. A friend recommended Dr. Anstey and I consider that to be one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Dr. Anstey worked on me from 6:30 until 11:30 on a Friday night! He sent me home with rebuilt teeth and the peace of mind that comes with knowing that someone is in your corner. Over the next few visits, he continued to give me impeccable care. I believe that I healed quickly and easily due to Dr. Anstey’s expansive knowledge, his commitment to perfection, his calm manner and his great sense of humor!
I almost want to have another accident just to go back… almost!!!

I have been going to lots of different kinds of dentists since I was in a really bad car accident 30 years ago. I needed to have a bad root canal bored out and redone. Dr. Enstey spent the first ½ hour lecturing on various topics… politcs, world hunger, and then looked at my tooth. He did tell me how much it was going to cost at this point and I should have run out of the office immediately but the tooth hurt. So I paid $ 2450. At my checkup, I asked him for some of my money back. He almost fell down. I don’t think anyone had ever asked before. But it has been two weeks, and I haven’t seen any money. He’s good but he overcharged at by 2/3s.I I now go to the UCLA Dental Practice.

I haven’t been to many endodontists, but I have been to a handful of dentists and other medical professionals. I can say that Dr. Anstey has some of the best client/​patient relationship skills that I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. His use of cutting-​edge technology in the field I found encouraging and relieving. His patience, let alone willingness, to explain my situation to me, and walk me through his treatment plan was excellent. His office is very relaxing, and his staff is a pleasure to interact with. Overall, I would strongly recommend him to everyone whenever you need a root canal.
However the first reviewer is spot on when she said that you do «pay for what you get» — and space in the triangle of Beverly Hills doesn’t come cheap. I’m certain he is not the most expensive endodontist in the city, but his fee structure is higher than median that’s for sure. I have no problem paying for excellent health care or a fabulous meal — as long as they live up to the expectations. Dr. Anstey most certainly did. And unless you are excessively cheap (like I am), there is no reason to ever see another endodontist once you see Dr. Anstey.
And he’s a hockey fanatic — what more could you ask for! Woot! :-p

Dr. Anstey is an amazing diagnostician. His bedside … or chairside, as the case may be … manner is lovely. He was kind enough to come in the day after Christmas to help me with a problem tooth and has taken care of me himself on other occasions when he could have very easily passed me off to another periodontist or oral specialist. He is an amazing man and a talented doctor.
His office is in the heart of Bev Hills, so as you might expect … his services are not inexpensive, but they are worth it. He knows what he is doing, uses the best equipment, and takes as much time with you as is needed. I wouldn’t let any one else touch my canals!
Parking is about $ 15 in the two lots close by … or you can chance it and park in the metered lot at the corner of Little Santa Monica.
