Sean Carrick

Sean’s amazing! He gave me hair that I never even dreamed I could have. I get compliments all the time on the balayage he did for me. He’s a magic maker and true hair artist! I’m so lucky to have him in my squad!

The first time Sean did my highlights, I cried tears of joy. Seriously. If you’re a blonde looking for natural yet full highlights that go the distance between appointments, go see Sean for a balayage session. He’s patient, meticulous and will make you feel like a million bucks. He’s also an advocate of using the least amount of chemical products on your hair to ensure your natural beauty shines through, which is an absolute rarity in LA. I refuse to go to anyone else after 3 years!

I found Sean by blind luck in Beverly Hills when I had to make a last minute hair appointment and he was the only one willing to squeeze me in. He stayed well past closing and I was absolutely blown away by my results! I have been going to him for years now and feel incredibly lucky to have found him and my hair has never looked better!!! In addition to being INCREDIBLY talented, Sean is also one of the sweetest and NICEST people that you will ever meet. One of the things I love about Sean is that I like to experiment with my color and styling and Sean always has excellent feedback. He takes into account my eye color, complexion, the shape of my face, etc. And, if I tell him that I’m interested in going in a completely new direction and he thinks it won’t yield the results I am after, he kindly explains why and offers other suggestions to help me achieve my goals. I have always wanted that kind of professional feedback from a stylist! He has never said no to me, but after years of amazing results and compliments from friends, family and colleagues, I trust him and his recommendations completely. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to know that I have found a hair dresser who genuinely wants me to be happy with my results as opposed to blindly agreeing to services which I may regret after the fact. Sean also uses very high quality products (which is extremely important to me!) and explains how they will affect my hair, how long the results will last and the ease or challenges that I will face if I decide to switch gears again in a couple of months. Sometimes I like to be blond, other times a red head and I also like becoming a brunette when the mood strikes me. No matter what look I choose, I have confidence with Sean that each transition will always looks amazing and… won’t destroy my hair! Further, when I have to travel and know that I won’t have the time to get my hair done regularly, Sean takes the time to explain which color and cut will provide me with the longest use. I have referred multiple people to him and always get thanked profusely… including from my mother who lives back East and can be notoriously hard to please when it comes to her hair ;) Whenever she visits me, she also makes sure to book an appointment with Sean as well. He really is that GREAT :)

Sean Carrick is a really terrific hair colorist and stylist who I have been working with for a year and who I have sent dozens of my clients to. Since he has been doing my hair, I love the color (and I have problem hair) and I am always getting compliments on the cut. He introduced me to «Balayage» (which I had never used as a highlighter) and those highlights look more natural than anything I have ever done before. I am getting Beverly Hills hair coloring and styling at prices that work for me– and that makes me very happy. Plus he is not a diva– he is a really great guy.

Sean is truly the best! No one in my entire life has ever been this great with my hair. He is professional, extremely caring, and VERY GOOD AT WHAT HE DOES. I am so happy to have found him. I always get compliments on my hair when he does it. I have thinning hair but Sean has helped me so much with proper styling and what to do for healthy hair. He is an expert at what he does and very respectful of his clients. He has also been very accommodating with me and my busy schedule.

My photo is out of date, but I have platinum, extremely long blonde hair and he colors my hair to perfection every time! I have been to so many salons in Boston and LA and nobody does it better than him. And he has such a wonderful personality!

I was very happy with the way my hair turned out! I started out with light hair which left me washed out, and with no dimension. I left it to Sean with complete trust due to his 20 plus years of experience all over the world; and I’m glad I did. The outcome was amazing. He gave me a beautiful base color with low lights and high lights. It looks absoultely stunning and I’m very happy. I cant wait to go back for my touch up because I know its going to look even better, and will only continue to look better and better as I work with him. He’s a keeper ladies and gentlemen!

I found Sean on the fly! Thank god for him. I went to him after my Organic hair color experience, here at home in San Francisco where my golden locks turned a green gray. Yes I said green, which happened at Plum.
Sean took one look at me and knew EXACTLY what to do… He was astonished that someone would let me walk out of their salon looking as I did, I had to agree with him. He was honest, kind, and respectful to what was happening, the undoing of my green hair.
I had three hours to spend on my hair. He chose the correct, yes correct sandy blond hair color! Yeah, three cheers for Sean. He sat me in the chair, told me I had great bones, paid attention to what I was saying and gave the best wash and massage ever on top of the new color and cut! (and there was No assistant washing, yeah!)
When I go to LA I go to Sean. If you are in search of blond, the beachy color he is your man hands down, thank you!

Sean carrick is one of the best stylists to ever touch my hair. He listened to what I asked for and my color turned out amazing!!! He is so knowledgeable and you can tell he actually cares about your hair and giving you a great new look!!! If you are going to anyone other than this guy for your hair needs your making a hugggge mistake!!!

Sean is the absolute best at what he does. Why else would I forsake all of the available stylists in San Diego, and make the (in my opinion, excruciating) drive to LA for my cut and color? EVERY TIME I have tried somebody else, I’ve been disappointed. Sean has international experience, loves his profession, and stays on top of emerging techniques in the industry. I leave his chair feeling polished, sophisticated and beautiful. He’s a gem!

This is a review from a 39 year old male who recently went to get his hair styled by Sean Carrick. Hands downs, HE IS THE BEST! I’m the kind of guy who’ll usually just go to a «chain» barber shop (if even that!). My wife encouraged me to see Sean after even I could not take the unruly mop on my head any longer — and now both my wife and I are so happy! I have received countless compliments on my hair, even a couple of weeks after having it cut. I’ve had a few people say the new style makes me look several years younger :) I will only be letting Sean cut my hair now. He is truly one of a kind.
