We hired Silver Service Events for party rentals and to cater our 10−17−15 backyard wedding. Jerry and his team were phenomenal. He was extremely easy and professional to work with. In the months prior to our wedding his response time to my questions was quick and his ability work with me on all my requests was outstanding. He really understood our goal with the menu and helped make it happen, his suggestions and expertise helped make it perfect. All of our family and guests continue to tell me how great our food was. The delivery and pick-​up of the rentals was also extremely smooth, his team was polite and respectful. The day of the wedding the servers and bartenders were amazing. His staff is highly trained and professional. Food service was great and drinks were served with great timing. The quality of the rentals and linens was also superb. We highly recommend Silver Service Events! They are the best!

I am a wedding coordinator and had the pleasure of working with this amazing crew! They were such a pleasure to work with! Went above and beyond in set up and overall catering needs throughout the night. They left the venue spotless and asked several times if they could be of anymore help! All I can say is «Wow!» Jerry and his team blew me and my guests away! The food was phenomenal… I haven’t stopped getting compliments on it. The au gratin potatoes were definitely a huge hit!!!
We found Jerry through Thumbtack… Not only did he come all the way to our home for a tasting, but he was able to do everything we needed him to do and more. He thought of all the things we couldn’t or didn’t and the set up and tear down at our event was so seamless, we barely knew it happened!

Jerry and Silver Service Events did an absolute incredible job from start to finish for our wedding. From the first tasting and time we met Jerry, we knew he was extremely hard working, trustworthy and had some delicious food!
They gladly put up with our nonstop requests, questions, changes in menu, and months of back and forth! The food turned out amazing and make sure you get their DESSERTS! The bar was great and the service was friendly. You will not go wrong hiring them!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Jerry and Silver Service Events. We hired them to cater our wedding off a friend’s recommendation, but when we realized how awesome Jerry was, we used his company for about a zillion other wedding-​related things too — ALL the rentals (tables, chairs, umbrellas, linens), heatlamps, a dance floor, bartenders and waiters, and of course all the incredible food. Our wedding was in Malibu this past April, and from the beginning we had unique requests — it was a Western/​Indian fusion wedding, entirely outdoors, for about 200 people, with time and budget constraints. We wanted the food to reflect both our heritages, have plenty of vegetarian/​vegan options, and yet be suitable for a wide ranges of tastes. Jerry worked with us on every front. He did personalized tastings, offered a number of wonderful items, and edited and revised the menu with us until the food was exactly what we wanted. We had beautiful gourmet appetizers during our cocktail reception, fantastic quinoa vegetarian dishes, and delicious chicken tikka masala non-​vegetarian dishes — all accompanied by fantastic sides and cocktails. Most importantly, Jerry was simply one of the nicest vendors I’ve ever worked with. He was super responsive on email (like, the most responsive of anyone I know), perpetually friendly and flexible, and went completely out of his way, time after time, to meet us for tastings, to pick up supplies, and to work out logistical issues that arose. Tonight, weeks after our wedding, he came all the way to my apartment after a long day of work to make sure he dropped off the remaining beer we purchased for our wedding — just because he’s a nice person. I just can’t say enough how much we appreciated him. Hire him, you’ll be so glad you did.

Silver Service Events catered our wedding and we could not have been happier. From the tasting through the end of the wedding night itself, Jerry and his team were quick to respond, helpful, flexible with our unique requests (breakfast for dinner buffet & crêpe station), friendly… and the food itself was outstanding!
It’s also important to note that Jerry actually personally delivered us the original tasting due to our hectic schedule, which was an amazing first impression! But beyond that, the food itself was so tasty and it made our decision to go with Silver Service Events incredibly easy.
In the months leading up to the wedding, Jerry was so quick to respond and helpful with every detail, from food questions to rentals to costs and everything in between. Then on the night of our event, the team was there and everything proceeded perfectly. The waitstaff & bartenders were incredibly friendly, helpful, funny and calm, making their presence and work the perfect complement to the evening. Our guests were so impressed by the food (most of whom went back for several plate refills) and the staff, as were we.
We would strongly recommend Silver Service Events to any of our friends getting married or having events in the LA area… thank you so much!

Jerry with Silver Service helped us plan, cater and provide rentals at our incredible wedding at Orcutt Ranch. To our luck, Jerry actually had his own wedding their so he knew the venue incredibly well. Orcutt Ranch is a beautiful place in Canoga Park that is almost a blank canvas to use for the wedding venue and reception. Which meant a lot of planning and coordination was required. My wife and I were on a budget and doing this without a wedding planner so in essence Silver Service helped us this as well and things were flawless. We had a pretty relaxed style and Silver Service filled in the details of whatever was needed and went above and beyond. Neither of us actually got a chance to enjoy any of the appetizers but the rest of the food was wonderful and we have heard time and time again by everybody what a beautifully catered event it was. The staff was extremely professional and just all around a 5 star experience. I have been getting work out to friends and will continue to recommend Silver Service and in particular Jerry for a great experience. I look forward to the day we can use Silver Service again in the future. Lastly, as mentioned before we were on a budget and Silver Service was actually the best priced provider for rentals and catering that we got quotes for. You truly cannot beat the service and quality you will receive.

While we ultimately did not go with Silver Service Events as our wedding caterer, it was not for lack of being completely impressed with the service and experience from start to finish. A few things really stand out about this company:
–Jerry. He is a great communicator — he follows up quickly, he’s flexible, and professional.
–Customer service. Jerry made sure we had a great tasting, and even sent food to us because we couldn’t make it to him. And again — his communication and professionalism is top notch. Additionally, we wanted a themed menu and Jerry’s team literally created from scratch a menu that creatively reflected our interests. There is no one-​size-​fits-​all approach here.
–The food. The tasting was great, and we are confident that had we gone with Silver Service our guests would have been thrilled.

As a wedding/​event planner I work with many catering companies and I must say Silver Service Events is one of my favorite caterers to work with. Jerry has the best personality and is easy to work with, his staff is friendly, helpful and professional. I had Silver Service Events do catering for my wedding of about 130 people. Jerry and his team did an amazing job with everything. First off, I want to say that Jerry is one of the smartest, most organized, and professional individuals that I’ve ever come across.
I’ve dealt with dozens of companies and staff persons in the past, but Jerry really stands out the most to me. Throughout the planning process, he was very responsive and was able to take direction well.
I hate it when you explain something through email to someone, and they get it wrong still. It’s almost like they don’t know how to read! But Jerry knows how to read well and very carefully. He never missed a single detail that I sent him… and trust me, I sent him a ton of emails.

I’ve been around the catering biz for quite some time now and I truly believe that Silver Service Events has brought out the best in catering food, setting up of the events, punctual employees, friendly staff, and they just have done an amazing job with the service given! Their food is amazing and their pastrys and desserts, are to die for! I really love their Tri-​Tip and their Cheddar Augratin Potatoes. Overall, I’ve had a great experience with Silver Service Events and I truly recommend them to anyone in search of a great, quality food and terrific service staff, catering company.

Silver Service Events impressed me from the very start. I found them through great reviews and decided to reach out for more information about possibly catering our wedding. Not only was Jerry completely professional, friendly and 110% willing to adjust to meet our budget, he had one of his thoughtful employees drive 2 – 3 hours in LA traffic to deliver our tasting! Even though the food sat for quite a while, it was INCREDIBLE! Needless to say I booked with them right away.
Throughout the entire process Jerry was so patient with all of my questions, changes and quote requests… not to mention incredibly responsive! He replied to all inquires in a very timely manner which made planning so much easier.
On the day before the wedding, Jerry and his crew came to deliver everything in preparation for the next day. We had a number of hiccups with the venue but his team was very flexible and happy to adjust. They even agreed to help move some extra lawn furniture that was laying out!
Last but certainly NOT least, the day of the wedding… the catering crew was AMAZING. All of our guests talked about how delicious everything was! One of the waiters constantly checked up on the bride & groom to make sure we had a drink and our dinner was warm enough. We felt like royalty for sure!
I will absolutely use Silver Service Events for any event in the future as I know I will get WAY beyond what the affordable price tag is worth. Thank you!!!

I dont even know where to start of how amazing Jerry and the entire staff at Silver Service are! When looking for a wedding caterer we received a quote from everyone and their mama. Not only I was impressed by the quote and what was included but the communication was the best! We hadn’t even tried the food and just had a feeling Silver Service was going to be it! Jerry personally drove down for a food tasting to our home in Orange County. That alone was amazing and without any strings attached or any promises from us. We figured since the food traveled an hour, we figured not to expect it to be that amazing and boy did we get proven wrong!
EVERYTHING was delicious and tasted like it had just came out of a kitchen of a fancy restaurant. Nothing tasted like it was sitting an hour in traffic or like other «wedding» food. It was TOP NOTCH! We were almost too excited! Jerry also knew we were in a budget and this was not budget food whatsoever, it was fancy wedding type of food. he also didn’t try to over sell us on anything. In fact I can be a pain in the booty and he worked with me so patiently and made everything work so I got what I wanted and didn’t up sell me, he knew how to get what I wanted and at the prefect price.
So thats only the tasting part before going into the wedding. We obviously booked him :)
Forward to the wedding month. Our day of coordinator asked me to show her my contracts so she knew everything that was being delivered and she COULD NOT BELIEVE the catering contract. Her socks were blown off. She told me she has never seen such a detailed and professional contract with so much detail and she could also not believe the type of food that was coming our way and with the final price. Extremely impressed to say the least and this was once again before even the wedding day LOL
Oh not to mention, I wanted a special color/​material for my napkins, and honestly I HAVE NO IDEA how Jerry found the perfect color and material of the napkins. It was one of those small details that really really stood out at the wedding. I will have to post photos after I receive them from photographer (My wedding was just last Thursday) I also asked for a special fold and sure enough they happily did it for me.
Okay now its wedding day at Rancho Las Lomas (an hour or so away from Silver Service)… The FOOD WAS FANTASTIC! I had comments from all the foodies saying how it was some of the best food they have had at weddings. Keep in mind some of these people attend 200,000 weddings here on the regular and honestly Jerry’s catering made our wedding seem so much more expensive than it was, after all I was a budget bride with all sorts of DIY.
Sorry for the long post I just have to get the word out there! My last comment is aside from the amazing food… THE STAFF. SO professional all of them. I found out later that Jerry carried my cake in 90 degree heat across the ranch to the designated area. The cake was not his, so he happily helped out a very annoying task of a super heavy cake when he had so much already on his plate, but Im not surprised he is just cool like that! The rest of the staff amazing too and such a pleasure to talk to and be around!
Best decition we made was hire Jerry and Silver Service. I know they will always be our go to for catering needs and I will spread the word to my friends (actually most people at the wedding already asked me for their info LOL)

What a nightmare (to say the least). Our wedding reception was held at a beautiful wedding venue, Majestic Halls. The venue uses Silver Service Events as their in house caterer so we decided to use them to save on some additional costs. If I had known that we were going to be served D class food I would have paid the extra money to hire a catering service of my choice. At the first tasting we met with Jerry who made us feel very at ease saying that we could make adjustments as needed, etc. After that we requested a 2^nd tasting because we weren’t happy with what we tasted the first time. Our 2^nd tasting was with a new chef because they said the last chef left. We were a little worried, but went to the tasting and selected a dish considering that we were only about a month away from our wedding. We agreed to a braised beef short rib with a port red wine sauce. But to our dismay, on the say of our wedding we were served a beef dish that was definitely not braise, not a short rib, and did not have any sauce. It looked dry, was chewy, and left me and my husband as well as many of our guests hungry. The service was very slow and some guests did not get their food until the other tables were already finished. This is not an exaggeration. I have been to so many weddings but this was the worst food I had ever seen at a wedding.
We tried to dispute the fact that we were served the incorrect dish, but Jerry and his staff completely denied everything saying that what we were served was what we agreed to at the 2^nd tasting. Jerry himself was 1) not at the 2^nd tasting, and 2) was not there during our dinner service so I was completely appalled that he could throw such accusations at us. We did not sign a contract directly with Silver Service Events so they completely refused to take any responsibility for the incorrect dish served. When looking at the other reviews I thought they could be trusted, but we are still fighting to get some kind of compensation back to this day. What a horror it was to be served such terrible food on our wedding day. We did not expect to have to worry about being served the wrong dish. So be sure to sign a contract with them so that you are covered for anything that may go wrong. I wish I could post the emails from Jerry following after our wedding day because they were rude and completely dismissive. I would advise to not use this caterer for any event!

Silver Service Events always does an amazing job! We’ve had them for several parties and everybody loved their food and service. Love their desserts!
It was a pleasure working with Jerry and Analiza. They’re very professional, but friendly and easy to talk to at the same time. They gladly worked with us on our budget and requests and decorated the entire venue exactly the way we expected it to look.
We always have different themes for our parties, and they always come up with the most festive decors and delicious food to go with it. Everything was wonderful… the food, service, decorations! I definitely recommend them!

I had my wedding on June 29^th, 2013, and Silver Service Events was the contracted/​preferred cater from my venue. Silver Service Events was excellent! I have never left either a good or bad review on any vendor, because I normally don’t take the time to do so. But I was so pleased with them that I decided to leave a positive review. I had several issues with my venue due to crazy personnel turnover, but Silver Service Events delivered on everything and exceed my expectations. Luckily Silver Service is just contracted by the venue, and Jerry honored all of our previous arrangements despite the stuff the venue no longer wanted to give me. I had two tastings before my final selection and both of them were very good. The food at the wedding day was amazing, served hot, and served all at the same time. I actually took time during my wedding to go to the kitchen to thank the staff. Food and Service was something really important to me, and I have guests calling me to mention how good the food was. Jerry was super professional, super helpful, and super flexible to accommodate my unusual requests. I would totally recommend them and would use them again if I ever need catering services again. I know people may see this review and think «there is no way they deserve a 5÷5», but this is true for Silver Service Events. Allow me to justify:
Quality of Service: My bride and I were so busy on the day of our wedding that we seriously forgot to eat. Upon arriving at our reception, Silver Service Staff searched us out (the bridal party was gathering in a separate room) to make sure we ate some appetizers. They checked on us throughout the entire night to make sure we had food, drink, cake, etc.
Responsiveness: Every time I had a question about the menu or services my emails were returned promptly. When things got a bit confusing by email, I received a phone call.
Professionalism: The staff at our reception was very polite and professional. To be honest, the ONLY complaint we received from one of our guests at the reception was that she wanted a «saltier piece of tri-​tip» and that Silver Service staff only brought her a salt shaker. (I don’t think our guest realized that they didn’t season each piece individually).
Value: We shopped around and were on a budget, and Silver Service provided an amazing spread and dinner for what we had to work with. Silver Service even threw in an «extra» or two for us, for which we were extremely grateful.
Flexibility: Both during our conversations about setup and catering and during the actual reception Silver Service treated us like we were the «boss». Granted, there were times when we wanted certain things and were suggested better options (which we ended up following), but those suggestions were made courteously and professionally.
Overall we were glad and grateful that we went with Silver Service Events for our wedding reception.

My husband and I used Silver service catering for our 200+ guest wedding reception Oct 2010. We worked very closely with Jerry. The entire experience was great! Jerry was awesome, the food was delicious and the staff was excellent! We had a very complicated set up so Jerry met with us 5 different times to figure it all out. We had A total of 3 tastings. Two of which were brought to our house and one directly from a wedding so we could takes actual wedding food. It was important to us that the food tasted good.
Seriously everything turned out great which really took a lot of stress off our backs because we didn’t have a wedding planner. My mom & I planned the whole thing with Jerry’s and my husband’s help.
I’m writing this review a year later because I just went to a wedding this weekend and had a terrible experience with the catering crew. That bad experience as a guest made me all the more grateful that our guests went out of their way to compliment the food & service. I can’t say enough positive things. Thanks Silver Service!

Ok, so first, I haven’t actually booked their services… yet. The decision is still out on our wedding plans, however, we did get a quote and a tasting from Jerry.
Because it was busy during the holiday season, he sent our tasting over to the house (in Long Beach). It was awesome to have our tasting in the comfort of our own home. Prior to the tasting, he was really good about working with me to get the kind of salad and food I wanted to get on the menu.
I didn’t have any expectations, but the food was warm, prompt and there was plenty for us to taste and make some decisions. The bruschetta is absolutely delicious, my fiancé fell in love with it, among the chicken and other food they brought over.
Jerry is willing to work with our requests and restrictions and has been very helpful so far. After researching more on venues, we may have to book a place with an in-​house kitchen, but if not I’m determined to book Silver Service. Not only do they do food, but will also help you with your dinner ware and chairs and decorations and stuffs… Great customer service :).
