I went to his «Historic South Central LA» location. Unfortunately it was not listed on Unilocal and I had no time to add it. Dr. Paul was super nice. I purposely wanted an African American dermatologist because I don’t have time waste trying to explain the struggle of black girl skin. Mr. Dark chocolate with the flawless skin got me together and sent me on my way!!! His staff was extremely friendly although for some reason they don’t like to answer the phone. I just left a voicemail and within 48 hours I received a call back. I will be back in 3 weeks and look forward to the experience.

Dr. Wallace is a great, friendly, and down to earth physician. He is smart and has taken care of my dermatology needs along with my teen daughters for years. He has been in the Beverly Hills community for years. Love his work and highly recommend him.

First impressions are king. Why have I been calling this «DOCTOR’S» office all morning, during «business hours» and no one has picked up the phone? I’ve just never experienced a doctor’s office that doesn’t answer the phone. I hope for their sake there’s a problem with the phone lines. If so, I’ll retract this review. If not. My review stands.

I would love to be able to talk about Dr. Wallace in a personal manner, but unfortunately I am not able to seeing as I had an appointment at 2:00 on Tuesday, May 5 and arrived at the office at exactly that time, but waited outside the office for thirty minutes before leaving since no one was answering the door or my phone calls. This to me is the most unprofessional manner in which to conduct a business. If there was an emergency, patients with appointments on this day should have been notified. My time is obviously not valued by this office. So disappointed.

I love Dr. Paul Wallace I came into his office with horrible acne he started me on medication now my skin is all clear i am so thankful I came across him he’s the best I also love his skin care products I bought the cleanser sunscreen & pumpkin mask & clay mask they are the best. Thank you so much Dr. Wallace also his staff members are so nice & kind! I was reading other reviews here about the waiting time… I’ve never waited no more then 15 minutes

I went today 3÷30÷15 for a consultation my appointment was at 12pm. The lobby is real small about 4 chairs, the guy before me said he had been waiting 45 mins because someone came in with an emergency. I saw the guy leaving in the hood face covered so it was true. The receptionist apologized a couple times so it was fine with me. They get a lot of phone traffic so Im sure she gets overwhelmed, but she was nice. They took me back around 1pm nurse asked some questions then the doctor came in… He sat in front of me and answered all my questions. I told him what the other dermatologist I saw suggested (laser) and he simply said he would go a different route. He recommend chemical peels for me (much cheaper) than laser. His sunscreen is the best very light and not greasy, i hate putting products on my face (guy thing) I bought a cleanser, mask and sunscreen and will have a chemical peel in a couple weeks. I’ll post about my second visit. I like the fact he seemed optimistic about helping me improve my skin without selling me false hope… Only negative is i wish they gave written instructions on how to use the products. He told me but i dont remember lol… So as of now, I like him

My daughter and I were extremely happy to have found Dr. Wallace. The time and interest he shows is very hard to come by! He isn’t someone who will just prescribe something and walk away, like most Dr.s. If you are looking for someone who will take care of you personally, Dr. Wallace is the doctor for you.

Been here twice. Dr. Wallace isn’t the most personable doctor. The wait time is pretty extreme. I’ve been here twice and the second time I waited for about an hour before I saw the doctor. Of course I had a baby who I needed to nurse. There was no apology or anything. I waited longer to see the doctor than I was in his office. I was literally in his office for probably five minutes or less because the woman told him I had to nurse the baby and he seemed frustrated. One should never make their patients wait this long and if the waiting period is going to be that long then give a courtesy call before appt time that the dr was running late to work… or at least apologize.
so I came to see the doctor because of some symptoms I was having and basically there was nothing the doctor could do for me except prescribe a topical cream. I asked him if there were any other creams I could use other than the topical cream he prescribed due to nursing and he said he would have to get back to me. So I ended up having to call and the doctor of course wasn’t in. I finally received a follow-​up phone call a few days later from a woman saying there weren’t any other creams I could use except the cream he had already prescribed me. So you mean to say I waited an hour to see the doctor for him to just tell me to use the same cream I already had and Aveeno lotion? I could have saved myself some time.
so here I have gone six weeks with the symptoms basically not being able to take anything according to the dermatologist and then my regular doctor tells me there are a variety of things I could take. My doctor referred me to a different dermatologist so I will be paying them a visit.
Maybe he doesn’t like dealing with pregnant women or nursing moms because there are too many restrictions based on what he is able to offer. Who knows.

I was referred to Dr. Wallace by a friend. My friend gets botox from Dr. Wallace and shares a vial with another person to cut costs and she was in need of another dose. I thought this was a great idea to be able to afford the treatment and after consultation with Dr. Wallace’s office, it was agreed that we could share a vial but I needed to come in for a consultation first with Dr. Wallace before the treatment. It was explained to me that the $ 175 consultation fee would go towards the treatment. I met Dr. Wallace and he was extremely nice and I felt very comfortable with him. I then coordinated with my friend to see Dr. Wallace on the same day so we could share the vial. Imagine my surprise when the assistant from Dr. Wallace’s office called and said that in addition to the $ 175 I already paid, Dr. Wallace wanted $ 300 for the ½ vial! My friend only paid $ 250 the last time she got the botox. So, that’s $ 950 for a vial of botox — something I’ve seen ads for $ 400 – 500 for a whole vial. A bit of a rip off. Seems like a nice Dr. but beware of his prices!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Wallace and his office staff. It’s extremely clean and feels comfortable from the moment you walk in. What I appreciate most about Dr. Wallace is that he gives it to you straight. He’s a no bs kind of guy and offers valuable advice for general skin care and disease prevention. Highly recommended!

Just went to Dr Wallace office and received facial from Delores for first time. She is great. I will be going back. She is Knowledgeable about skin, Extremely gentle when it comes to painful extractions… and advises you on what practices you should partake in to have/​maintain clear beautiful skin. More importantly she doesn’t push products on you. I left very satisfied with my experience and excited to see how much my skin improves under her care.

I came to Dr. Wallace with what I feel like was the worst skin on earth. I’ve always had acne but something in me went crazy last year (at 32 years old) and my skin was the worst it had ever been. It was a combination of cystic acne, all kinds of other pimples and dark spots from scarring. After taking a look and talking about my history, Dr. Wallace started me on a regiment with some prescriptions and his products (which are amazing!) After treatment, my skin is the best it’s been and I even get compliments on it… which I never have before. I use the Clarity cleanser, sunscreen, pumpkin mask and fade cream (specially formulated since I’m allergic to hydroquinone) and love every one of them.
Dr. Wallace is really nice and knows what he’s doing. Whitney is his staff and I absolutely adore her. She’s super knowledgeable and you can ask her whatever questions you have. I had my first facial by Dolores this week and it was great! She did something I’ve never had during a facial and that was paraffin hand treatments. Nice touch!

Very disappointed because the front desk staff is terrible. I scheduled an appointment for 1245pm a week ago, they called me the morning of at 930am asking if I was available to come in at 12pm instead on a voice mail. I called them back to confirm 5 times from 10am-​1030am — no answer and I left 2 voicemails. Then I called them back at 1150am and asked if I could still come in at my original appointment time 1245pm or 12pm and they said to come later at 3pm. I wasn’t available to come in later because of work, so I rescheduled for Saturday 11am. Then they called me back 2 hours later to ask me to come in at 9am instead. So unprofessional and this woman seems incompetent. Don’t confirm appointments if they’re not available and don’t change appointment times 3 hours before someone is about to go in. Going somewhere else. If Dr Wallace cares about his patients he should take care of some logistics. Seems pretty difficult just to get into the room.

Love this place. I got an amazing experience here. It started with the first phone call the receptionist made me feel very comfortable coming in and told me she would be able to fit me in whenever! That’s awesome because I normally don’t know my schedule untill the day of. The doctor and his asst was amazing they where both professional and very passionate. Extremely important when working on someone’s face. The surgery was very fast and done in the office same day. I highly recommend coming here!

Great Dr. went in wonderful office, clean, neat. Told him my issue and he took good care of me wouldn’t just go to anyone for my face. He gave 3 options and I have to say most doctors just do what they want. Yes I will go back again…

I was disappointed with Dr. Wallace. I read a lot of good reviews on Unilocal,ZocDoc, and on my insurance providers website about him, so I thought I’d give him a try. I would give it two stars because the receptionist was so nice, but I don’t want to skew the overall rating he has.
My condition is some sort of chronic rash around my mouth that itches, flakes, and scabs. I’ve had it for about five years and it’s gotten progressively worse. I thought it was part of the eczema that I have on my forearms, but that eczema turned out to be polymorphous light eruption, which cleared up when I moved to LA and was constantly provided sun. The mouth rash continued on and I reached my breaking point when I couldn’t eat properly anymore because my lips were so dry and cracked that it was physically painful to eat.
So I made an appointment. I brought all the products that typically come in contact with my mouth, I gave the history of the rash to a nurse, and expressed my doubt that it’s a typical case of eczema. I firmly believe that this rash is caused by some sort of allergen that I consume — otherwise, why would it manifest on my mouth and not my foot? I also specifically said that I didn’t want to be prescribed anything. I wanted to pursue a more natural treatment or the identification/​elimination of whatever I’m allergic to.
So when I finally met with Dr. Wallace, after nearly an hour of waiting, he sat across the room the entire time and said that I couldn’t do anything about it but put a steroid cream on it. That there was nothing else we could do. And when I told him I brought all the products I use, which are minimal anyways, and that I wanted to see if the rash was due to one of the ingredients (or my diet), he completely brushed it off and said it’s just eczema. And then told me he would send in the prescription to my nearest CVS.
So I left and went home and did research on rashes around the mouth for several hours and found several natural occurring things that I could put on it that might help. My first try was coconut oil (along with vaseline, which has been one of the only things my lips can handle without starting to burn for the past few years). It’s been three days and, if ten being the worst it could be at the appointment, it’s now at a four. I can eat and smile and not cringe at the cracking of my lips.
All without that use of a prescribed medication that the doctors office insisted I use and then never even actually called in to CVS anyways.

I’m 20yrs old and I’ve had it with my acne. So I looked up local dermatologist and did extensive online research, just because I’m tired of being unsatisfied with most places I go. Till this day I don’t regret my decision with him. Dr. Wallace and his staff are great! They always have friendly call reminders about my appt., smiling, and very knowledgable in their field. He started me on a new regiment (accutane) after going through all the antibiotics and lotions of course. Thanks to him i can start this new year with a clearer face! Highly recommend him.

After a long standing bout with psoriatic arthritis and then plaque psoriasis, all past treatments (UVB, methotrexate, etc.) only slightly improved my condition along with side effects and at best kept it at a somewhat manageable, but unsatisfactory level of redness, flaking and irritation. They don’t brand the disease «the heartbreak of psoriasis» for nothing…
When first meeting with Dr. Wallace, he seemed very determined to help me and came out of the corner fighting on my behalf! Being very involved and on the cutting edge of psoriasis research, he gave me newly developed topicals to try and eventually got me on an Enbrel regimen. The Enbrel was the best treatment up to this point and actually began to partially clear a lot of my skin.
After the financial downturn and my subsequent loss of health insurance, Dr. Wallace recommended me to several new drug trials, as well as the Amgen Enbrel free program.
Currently, I’m participating in a blind test for a new and more effective biologic under the auspisces of Dr. Wallace’s office and so far, very good results!
