Wendy Chang, MD

Dr. Chang and her staff are amazing. She came highly recommended by a friend of mine who is an OB/​Gyn. Upon meeting her, she reviewed all my previous bloodwork and medical records and although my bloodwork didn’t look great (my old OB/​gyn said it would be very difficult to get pregnant naturally and said even IVF will be difficult), she gave me hope and told me we would just need to work a little harder at getting pregnant. She talked to me about my diet and sleep and recommended that I go on a gluten free diet and eat a variety of vegetables. She also advised me to get 8 hours of sleep a night since I wasn’t getting enough sleep. I also started taking some additional vitamin supplements. Dr. Chang and her nurses Kimberly and Jessica were there for me every step of the way and were always very prompt in answering any questions. Even when I had issues with my insurance they were on top of it and made sure my paperwork went through so I could receive my medication and get pre-​authorization for any procedures. Dealing with infertility is such a rollercoaster ride and they helped take a lot of the stress away and helped me focus on things that I could do to take care of my body. We first met with Dr. Chang in September and in December we found out I was pregnant after my 2^nd IUI attempt. We are so grateful for the wonderful care they provided for us.

I went to Dr. Chang for egg freezing. I met with two other doctors before deciding on Dr. Chang. I really liked her approach and it was obvious that she was up to date on studies and she had a lot of suggestions for things I could do to maximize my healthy egg yield. It did mean that I didn’t drink for about 3 months and took a lot of vitamins, but it was totally worth it in the end. Her office was very helpful and I really loved the whole team (Jessica is GREAT and gives the best shot tutorial ever). Thank you for a successful «Operation Deep Freeze.»

I can’t thank Dr. Wendy Chang enough for her expert care in helping us to conceive after many fertility hurdles. She is so patient, knowledgable, attentive, and is so good at putting patients at ease. I also want to acknowledge her team members that made the journey so much more enjoyable, specifically Helen, Kimberly, Raul, Neha, and Yasinia. These individuals always had a smile, a word of encouragement, and were so helpful with my many questions and requests. From the moment I went in for my consultation I knew I was in good hands. THE BEST DECISION I EVER MADE! Throughout the entire process she (along with her staff) was informative, helpful with any and all questions and concerns and most of all honest and caring. She was honest and sensitive to my situation (I am 40yrs old) and optimistic for the outcome. We started with a modified diet along with supplements to prepare my body. I went in multiple times for labs and ultrasounds (the staff was great too) until we were able to set a calendar to start the process. She was in touch with me every step of the way with updates as well as encouragement. I can go on and on… But I’ll sum it up to one word. SUCCESS! On the day of the retrieval she was there by my side as I woke up, and kept in touch with me well after too!
Fertility is a very sensitive issue as you go through so many emotions. Dr Chang was the perfect choice for me and hopefully she can help you too! I will forever be grateful to her :)

Dr. Chang and her staff made our journey an enjoyable one. Everyone in the office is so personable and made us feel right at home. Her nurses Kimberly and Katrina were always a phone call away when we had a million questions.

Dr. Chang is my favorite doctor in the world! Because of her I have my beautiful 6 year old girl and two other frozen embryos. She is very positive but always straight forward and clear with the facts. I know helping people have families is her job, but it is obvious she loves what she does and is very invested in her patients success. She stays current on all the newest information and procedures for reproductive medicine. She seems to know more than anyone.

Dr. Wendy Chang is honestly the BEST doctor! My wife and I thought we just needed help with an IUI, but when other circumstances arrived she helped us to overcome them with such grace and positive energy. She did not resort to the scare tactics of our first dr and jump immediately to IVF. Instead she took a second look and prescribed a plan to help open up my tubes. After two IUI’s we now have a beautiful baby boy.
She is VERY thorough and cautious and explains things in ways that is clear and helpful. Her nursing team is also amazing. Both Uchenna and Kimberly are kind and thoughtful. The entire support staff are amazing. This is very important as you will spend a LOT of time at this office. At least once a week.
We were so sad to leave her care when we «graduated» at week ten. But she referred us to an excellent OBGYN. Dr. Chang truly cares about each and every patient. We consider her a part of our family and wish her and her staff all of the best for they are true healers.

You are in the best hands with Dr. Wendy Chang. She is the top doc regarding IVF in expertise, research and care. I had interviewed many doctors and was so relieved to have met Dr. Chang and her nursing team. Kimberly and Uchenna were exceptionally supportive. After 5 months IV F treatment for a FET, I am now pregnant with a girl.
The Lab: I was very confident with SCRC as TWO of my female LA physicians (ophthalmologist and rheumatologist) separately told me that they had gone to SCRC for their own treatment due to the highest lab quality, which of course is the most important aspect of IVF treatment.
Dr. Chang: Not only is she a great physician and has great manners, she is warm, funny but firm and thorough with her explanations of data, research and reasoning of specific processes. I believe this is also because of her teaching background and being a mother to daughters. Very patient with questions and answered all my questions.
The Team: The lab, ultrasound, surgery center are all in one cohesive place with the most advanced equipments. My ultrasounds and blood tests were always close to time, not much waiting. Most importantly, her nurses are your team from beginning to end. The previous clinic CFP had the nurses always changing and you had to wait if you wanted to see the same nurse who might have background of your case.
Finance: I had to negotiate with the business office for a FET financial package. IVF is a financial commitment and burden. I was vocal for my needs and assistance programs and also always asked the nursing staff for medication samples which they would put aside for me when possible.

Dr. Chang is as good as it gets. I honestly don’t know any other physician who will personally call you for treatment updates and status reports in spite of her busy schedule. Dr. Chang gives her time and attention and most importantly shows genuine concern and compassion for her patients. She isn’t just about administering fertility treatments and turning a profit. Her patients’ health and well-​being come first. She is about comprehensive treatments that checks for items including diet and habits along with hard scientific lab testing. She is extremely knowledgeable and can explain complicated science in terms non-​medical individuals can understand. I doubt if you would find a better doctor on your side. I consider myself very fortunate to have been introduced to her!
And her care team is so positive and upbeat. Dr. Chang and her care team not only work together to provide the best treatments for you, but they really make you feel welcome. You won’t just be a number to them.

Fm the first time I met with Dr Chang, I knew I was in good hands. She was very patient to answer all my questions and explained the whole process to me very clearly.

I could not have imagined a better doctor to have when going through the process starting a family. I cannot tell her and her staff enough how much I appreciate being accepted as an parent to be as we prepared for my wife to have the IUI. I always felt acknowledged and included in all of our visits. Believe me that is not always the case with other doctors, even in 2014. She is an absolutely incredible and thorough doctor. She and her staff really take care of her patients and she is accessible and reliable for any questions that may come up. Quick to return your call and with any test results. My husband and I have been on a five year quest to have our baby. Our journey has taken us to Taiwan, Australia and the Philippines — all of which were fruitless. We then decided to take a leap of faith and went to the USA and cycled with Dr Wendy Chang.
From the moment we met with Dr Chang, we knew we were in good hands. She asked us a lot of good questions and was very sharp with her observations. We were particularly impressed with her thoroughness and willingness to think outside of the box. But what we most loved about Dr Chang was her great attitude. She was very understanding, caring and dedicated to our cause. She is also very hands-​on and was always available for all our consultations. We have been to different doctors looking for someone who could help us with our infertility concern. When I met Dr Chang in one of the seminars, I already felt comfortable. She is very well versed /​knowledgeable, comprehending and I see her sincerity to help. I made our first appointment right away and eventually made our decision to work with her.

We came to Dr. Chang with the feeling of defeat after meeting with so many doctors in New York. We had just moved to Los Angeles and were starting to feel like a baby was not in our future. That was until we met Dr.Chang. She literally changed our lives.

Dr. Chang is not just a doctor to my husband and I, but she is our FRIEND. We have gone through so much to get pregnant and she not only made it happen for us but she is still a part of our lives. She truly cares. She is the perfect package when it comes to having an intelligent, caring doctor. She is always in a very good mood too! We are kinda sad not having to go into the clinic anymore because we don’t see her as much but the end result is a baby which is why we went to her in the first place!
I have referred many of my friends with fertility issues to her and they love her just as much as we do. I feel like we hit the jackpot with her… not just saying this. Dr. Chang is is awesome! She’s the Woman!!!:)

Dr. Chang is amazing! She is calm, kind and caring.
I was thrusted in the world of fertility as I was diagnosed with breast cancer and chemotherapy was part of the treatment. We are unsure of what the effects of chemo will be on my ovaries so per the suggestion of my breast surgeon, we decided to harvest my eggs and freeze embryos.
Dr. Chang explained all our options, what each entailed and what the pros and cons are — including options to not do IVF at all. With Dr. Chang providing an option to not even use her service as part of my overall «saving my ovaries» treatment, I knew she would be the doctor to help guide us through this process. She and her team held our hands from beginning to end.

I have never experienced a more present physician in my life. Dr Chang takes her time and really listens and is careful and thorough in her medical practice. She responds via email, phone calls and on the weekends. Her staff is amazing and their pride and professionalism is reflective of Dr Chang’s leadership and bedside manner.
